I booked two shore excursions with Shore Excursions Group during my cruise. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
On the first tour, our ship arrived in port late, and unlike the usual practice, there was no announcement advising passengers that disembarkation had begun. As a result, my aunt and I arrived at the meeting point approximately 5–6 minutes late. Unlike most tour operators, Shore Excursions Group does not provide the tour guide's name or contact information in advance. Consequently, we had no way to locate or contact the group. Their local office was also closed, leaving us completely stranded with no means of joining the tour.
When we eventually reached their central office, we were simply told that the situation was not their responsibility. No effort was made to assist us, offer an alternative tour, provide a credit, or consider a refund. The company appeared to consider a tour departing after waiting only five minutes to be acceptable, despite the circumstances that caused our delay and the fact that they had provided no way for us to contact the guide.
Ironically, our second Shore Excursions Group tour departed approximately 20 minutes late because the guide waited for other passengers. Everyone on that large tour was kept waiting, which would have been entirely reasonable had the same flexibility and courtesy been extended to us on the first tour. The inconsistency in how situations are handled is difficult to understand.
What concerns me most is not simply that we missed the tour, but that Shore Excursions Group has no effective process for helping customers reconnect with a tour if something beyond their control causes a brief delay. Leaving customers with no contact information, no local assistance, and then accepting no responsibility for the outcome is, in my view, unacceptable.
I cruise every year and have taken many shore excursions over the years with different companies. This is the first time I have encountered such poor customer service and such an inflexible approach to resolving a problem. Based on this experience, I would not book with Shore Excursions Group again, nor would I recommend them to others. I hope this review helps other travellers make an informed decision.

Took the first excursion of the current tourist season to the Bay of Fundy, with highlights of St. John. Tour guide was very informative, albeit a bit rusty, and the stops were interesting. The amount of time spent at the City Market was perfect for browsing and buying, and lunch at the Caves Restaurant was excellent. No problem making it back to the ship in time.

Was fairly easy to book but am not sure if I booked for two tickets or four tickets. Only want two tickets.

Good explanation of tours--prices, times and activity level easily seen and understood.

Easy to navigate each booking process, each day of our cruise. Easy process with a wide selection on offer. And the speed of getting our e-tickets upon completion.
The whole process will make our holiday that must more enjoyable and informative.

We had a fantastic experience with shore excursions from start to finish. Would really recommend booking through them.

Our group leader booked a 5 hour tour in bermuda for 6 of us. The tour was advertised as HAMILTON and TOBACCO BEACH. The tour van left kings wharf 30 minutes late.... and then the guide, Jason, proceeded to tell us that this was a "sampler " tour. We would not be spending more than 30 minutes in HAMILTON and TOBACCO beach would also be a 30 minute stay. This is not what we paid for
.total rip off. Instead of 90 minutes of travel and 4 hrs at 2 locations we received 4 hours of travel and under 45 minutes at 2 locations
... pure crap ..angry and disappointed. I can't wait to to publish a full review on trip advisor.

Great phone service. First used Shore Excursions Group for snorkel trip in Saint Thomas in 2022. Several friends recommended them over the years. All reports are highly complementary. Using them now for 45-day Med cruise.

I was trying to book via costco but for some reason its not allowed. Would like thew 10% off... seems a bit sketchy!

We use Shore Excursions because they are cheaper than on the cruise ship. We have always had great drivers who make it fun and safe. And they get us back to the ship right on time. We would not use any other business but them! Top notch!
