DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! I Placed a $24.99 order and was charged that amount 2X then the next day was charged another $48?. I called and they never answered the phone. I e-mailed, they never responded. The following day I called again. Didn't answer. E-mailed again and my e-mail was blocked. BEWARE.... THIS IS A SCAM TO ORDER FROM.

Ik wacht nu 4 maanden op mijn garantie device. Vele e-mails en telefoongesprekken met zeer aardige medewerkers, maar er gebeurt helemaal niets. Bedrijf is totaal in verval geraakt. Het betrof een Cloud Home divice met gegevens die niet meer te bereiken waren, omdat de device defect is. Binnen 2 jaar tijd. In verband met vertrouwelijke bedrijfsgegevens op de Cloud Home, kon ik het apparaat zichtbaar onklaar maken en de foto’s daarvan opsturen per e-mail. Alles geaccepteerd door WD, nu 4 maanden later en 3x een nieuwe RMA gemaakt, nog steeds geen nieuw apparaat. Gebeld met de UK, met USA en EU (zitten in Griekenland), nog niks positiefs gebeurd.

Nu 26 e-mails verder word ik behoorlijk moedeloos van hun loze beloftes. Ik vraag mij af of de medewerkers wel salaris krijgen van WD, want ze doen uiteindelijk niks voor je.

WD verschickt offenbar vorsätzlich defekte Festplatten. Retournieren funktioniert nicht, weil sie keine Retourenlabel verschicken, bzw. die diesbezügliche Zuständigkeit innerhalb des Konzerns Scandisk/WD hin und herschieben. Offenbar möchte man Kunden mit Reklamationsansprüchen so mürbe machen, dass sie irgendwann aufgeben. Ich habe so etwas noch nie erlebt, zumal WD eine zeitlang Marktführer bei Festplatten war. Unsere letzte Hoffnung ist jetzt Paypal, ansonsten sind 99 Euro ohne Gegenleistung weg... :-(
Am besten Finger weg, alles andere kostet nur Geld und Nerven!

I somehow order two of same item but reached out to cancel second one. They responded saying they were cancelling the one and refunding me the money. I was charged 7.50 but says refunded 7.00 lol

My ordered was for $25.98, I had shipping protection of $3.99 and shipping off $5.99. I paid through PayPal and it wasn't until I proceeded with the payment it came out as USD, not AD. When the receipt from PP came it had a total of $43.15 USD, but what was taken from my credit card was $68.24 HK. Beware!!!

I ordered a tree ornament and it was a piece of junk. It looked NOTHING like the picture. It weighs a few ounces and I was charged $16.32 for shipping and handling, $1.14 for Insurance,$3.99 for shipping Protection ???? The item was only $13.00. The total came to $28.71. with a $5.73 shipping discount A total rip-off. It's so dark you cant even tell what the picture is supposed to be.

Terrible service – item not received, and completely ignored
I ordered a product directly from the Western Digital website. The tracking shows it was delivered, but I never received it. No package, no delivery note, no contact from the courier – nothing.
I contacted their customer support, but received no response at all. It’s been several days now, and they are completely silent. This level of service is unacceptable, especially from such a well-known company.
Right now, I feel completely scammed. Not only did I not receive my item, but I also can’t get any help or explanation.
I strongly advise against ordering directly from their website. Just disappointment so far.
All SSD drives have problems
All SSD drives have problems. A WD 1 tb with metalic case, dead... changed because it had a "factory problem", the "new" one, also dead 6 month later...
I will stick to Samsung or Crucial from now on... I recommend you to do the same.
Stay well away from WD/Sandisk UK online ordering!
Ordered 2 x NMVe from WD/Sandisk UK on 04/12/24. UPS, after two notified delays, claimed doorstep delivery earlier than scheduled on 07/12. No sign of it and POD image provided a few days later is clearly not the delivery address. No signature shown as was required. Extensive and fruitless online communication with WD/Sandisk reveals they expect me to wait for resolution of their "legal case" with UPS. Obviously never heard of the 1971 Sale of Goods Act or the Consumer Rights Act, or more likely have every intention of ignoring their obligations. Their attitude seems that I am the one at fault. Although ordered, and invoiced from UK, I suspect that Amsterdam call the shots and couldn't care less. UPS in my experience never respond to these type of issues anyway, other than to maintain that they have delivered the goods correctly.

A los 7 meses de comprar un disco duro de 4Tb no volvió a funcionar jamás. Te piden un montón de cosas para hacerse cargo de la garantía del producto, que si pagar tú el transporte, que si pagar la devolución a tu casa... No recomiendo esta marca.
La tienda de los horrores
Realicé un pedido en la tienda de España de WD, tres días después el pedido no ha sido enviado. Contactar con atención al cliente es toda una odisea, no tienen a nadie que atienda en Español para Europa, tienes que esperar a las 13:00 (CEST) que empiezan a trabajar el servicio técnico de Latino America para hablar con alguien en Español. No tienen soluciones ni respuestas, ni pueden cancelar el pedido aunque no haya sido enviado. Así que toca rezar y esperar. No se ha cumplido lo que se indicaba al realizar el pedido de que se entregaría entre 3 y 5 días laborables. No me quiero imaginar como deber ser en caso de tener un problema con un producto si ya de entrada, hay problemas para comprar.

Despues de dos años se rompio el disco, western digial dijo que nunca le habia pasado, no se hicieron responsable obvio por el tiempo que paso, si tienen oportunidad de comprar un disco de otra marca se van a ganar plata porque entre sortear un disco bueno o malo con esta marca no, buscate otra marca. Si te pones a buscar hay varios usuarios que reportan problemas y ellos como que lo omiten.

Ich habe selten einen so schlechten Kundenservice erlebt wie bei Western Digital. Meine Festplatte, die ich wegen eines Defekts eingesendet hatte, ist nun seit über einem Jahr verschollen, und jegliche Bemühungen, sie zurückzubekommen, sind gescheitert. Der Kundenservice ist unhöflich und wenig hilfreich. Jedes Mal wird man mit standardisierten Antworten abgespeist, die keinen Fortschritt bringen. Von einer so renommierten Firma hätte ich ein ganz anderes Niveau an Kundenbetreuung erwartet. Ich kann nur davon abraten, hier etwas zu kaufen, wenn einem ein guter Service wichtig ist.
The worst possible customer support ever !
I registered an incident for a faulty adapter for my 12TB MyBook in October 2023. The adapter got extremely hot and we noticed an acrid burning smell in our office. Further investigation revealed the MyBook adapter was smouldering and the left hand side had melted. I switched the plug socket off and left the faulty adapter to cool down. It had melted so much that it had fused to the wall socket ! I reported the fault immediately to WD and they checked the warranty and agreed to send a replacement adapter. The operator explained that we would have to 'wait for the adapter which could take up to 3 months'. We are now 10 months later and WD have just been in touch to say that, as I have not contacted them to see where my replacement adapter is, they are cancelling the ticket and ending the claim. Really ?? This is no way to treat your customers WD. And, please STOP sending me your offers every week. Based on my experience and other son Trustpilot, I will make sure that I do not purchase WD goods in the future. It's such a pity to see a one decent company reduced to such awful customer support. The best advise that I can give other here on Trustpilot is DO NOT BUY FROM WESTERN DIGITAL.

Es la peor empresa que he conocido en mi vida. Después de haber tenido en mis manos más de 6 dispositivos en toda mi vida, decir que el payaso soy yo por seguir fiándome de sus productos. He perdido toda mi información de toda mi vida que tenía almacenada en esos discos duros. Nunca me ha durado un disco suyo más de 3 meses. Toda mi información de toda mi vida esfumada para siempre. Fabrican los discos externos con los peores materiales y peores calidades que existen. Al menos eso es lo que me dicen en las empresas de recuperación de datos. Que son de muy mala calidad. NO COMPRÉIS A ESTA MARCA. Estos discos no son para proteger y almacenar vuestros datos, es para perderlos para siempre. UN DESASTRE

This is a genuine review. Please please please do not purchase anything from Western Digital. You might be lucky to receive your goods. Refunds forget it. Long story short they don't refund you. Their RMA system is broken. Their customer support is shocking, they ignore emails. 1 month later no refund. I have clear evidence I have sent back my hard drive which runs like a sack of s**t. Please save yourself time and pain and shop with a decent company that shows their customers respect. I feel like I have been robbed. I think it's criminal that a company can operate like this in the UK.
