Good and bad
If you are doing this course so that you can travel easier, don't bother. Unless you're travelling in and out of the USA, your training school needs to be registered with ADI and this school isn't. Canadian and European airlines will not accept this training unless you're flying to the states. Flights to and from the states are covered by american laws, which allow for this training. I haven't seen any other country allow it.
Since my dog is already well trained and I just wanted the certification and comfort of working with this program, the course worked well for me.
I'm glad I've received training from several dog trainers and would definitely recommend folks get one on one training instead of doing this course if they can.
Overall I'm glad it exists but it's overpriced for what it offers and could be improved a lot. Especially since the price of the course doesn't include an ID and training proof booklet.

We completely understand the importance of flying with service animals for handlers like yourself. However, our main focus is providing comprehensive training courses to support people with physical and/or mental health issues in improving their lives through the assistance of well-trained service dogs.
While flying with service dogs can be an added benefit, it is essential to recognize that airline regulations and policies can vary significantly. It is always advisable for handlers to get familiar with these regulations in advance to avoid potential issues.
We want to assure you that our graduates have successfully utilized our service dog certificates to travel with their service dogs across various continents, including Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. You may want to view some of the photos on our Instagram page, showcasing our students flying with their service animals worldwide.
Our graduates have reported positive experiences with European airlines such as KLM, LOT, and ITA, provided they managed to present medical documentation along with the certificate as proof of training.
Similarly, Canadian airlines like WestJet, Air Transat, and Porter Airlines have recognized our certificates on various routes, not only on direct flights to and from the US.
While we cannot influence individual airline policies, we always recommend that handlers contact airline agents directly to clarify their service animal acceptance guidelines.
Regarding our training courses, we can proudly state that we have managed to offer comprehensive information and full tutor support at affordable prices. Our courses are specifically designed to provide detailed instruction in a user-friendly format, with step-by-step guidance and instructional videos to enhance practical learning.
Thanks to our programs’ structured approach and flexibility, we have high success rates, allowing handlers to learn at their own pace.
Furthermore, all our programs include a lifetime-valid certification, to help handlers put their minds at ease, knowing that their certificates won't expire. Please note that our Service Dog ID Kit is available for optional purchase and serves primarily for identification purposes.

Service Dog Training that is very doable!
This was a superb online training! They make it simple enough so that if you have a dog with the right temperament, you should be able to do the training. It is helpful to complete the AKC Canine Good Citizen class with a local dog trainer to get the foundational skills first, prior to doing this training. That's what I did, and then that same trainer assisted me with some of the tasks in this training.

Having some prior training is always useful, however, as you mentioned- if you have a dog with the right temperament, you should be able to do the training! Our courses are very understandable and easy to follow so they can be helpful to many people.

I enrolled in the PSD course so that my dog could accompany me everywhere, especially during air travel. The course material was easy to follow and informative. My dog and I have definitely grown together after this course. The instructors were very supportive and responsiveness. Their personalized approach made the online learning experience feel incredibly intimate and tailored to our needs.

Easy straightforward teaching methods
I couldn’t have been happier. The course said what it did on the tin.(english humour) This course was a no nonsense, straightforward way of teaching. The explanations were easy to follow along with a short video to show how it’s done.Yan, my tutor was extremely quick to respond with marking each exercise I submitted. For anyone considering enrolling, just do it. Previously I had had awful problems with the Heathrow Animal Reception centre accepting courses that me and my dog (Pablo) had already completed, this caused me a great deal of stress and upset as you can imagine but I am happy to inform everyone that this course is accepted by HARC as sufficient evidence of the level of training required by them.

The best school to train your service dog by yourself.
I now have my life back. Stella is my fully trained PTSD Service Dog. This program equips you to successfully train your dog. It was nice to always have someone there when I needed assistance. I believe that this program is an excellent opportunity for anyone to train their service dog for their needs.

Skyler just graduated from the PSD class! I’m so proud of her! This program is amazing as it lets you work at the dogs pace and from inside your home where the dog feels safe. Training my 2nd dog through SDTSI!
I have trained my current medical alert service dog through SDTSI and the experience was amazing. I recently purchased a puppy who is now my service dog in training and I completed the puppy course with her and am ready to transition to the cardiac service dog class. I highly recommend SDTSI as it is a great resource and guide to help you train your service dog prospects!

Service Dog Training School International has helped me gain independence, confidence, and form a genuine bond with my dog. Sketchy-so many typos
Sketchy-so many typos within the first 3 sessions. I started the puppy course and the questions after the sessions were very basic. I purchased the puppy course and the psychiatric service dog course. I just didn't feel comfortable that this was legitimate and didn't want to lose all my money. Refund policy is harsh.

We are truly sorry that you are not pleased with our Puppy Course! The lessons are designed to help people with no experience learn the basics of how to raise a puppy and work on its manners, so it can have the potential to become a reliable service dog in the future. The sessions should provide the basics, especially if the handler is a new puppy owner, who lacks experience and needs guidance.
The first three lessons you completed, are mainly theoretical, while the next ones are more practical and include potty training, crate training, impulse control, basic obedience commands, and tips on how to address behavioral issues common in puppies. The information gradually transitions from easier to more difficult tasks for pups, so that it can encompass various aspects of puppy ownership and benefit many people.
Also, we appreciate you sending us screenshots of the typos you have found. We apologize for the typos and confirm, that these have already been fixed.
I affirm that our programs are legitimate and aim to help people train their dogs properly, with the help of positive reinforcement techniques.
Also, we are affiliated with several organizations, including a law company and a veterinary hospital, to provide better support to service/companion dog handlers!
Regarding our refund policy- please note, that it is clearly explained on the website, in the section "Terms & Refund Policy". Two days after you contacted our representative and had a short communication with them, a refund was issued per our policy.
All the information on the website is clear and understandable so that our potential students take it into account and make an informed decision.
We are aware of the fact, that every person has their own preferences, and one program can not suit all individuals. However, we invested a lot of time and effort to create content, that is easy to follow, helpful, and understandable.
We hope you will find the program that suits you and your paw friend the best!

Be Prepared to Commit and Follow Through
I am thankful that I came across the Service Dog Training School web page. It was just what I needed without spending thousands of dollars for having my dog certified elsewhere. They have enabled me to train at home without the burden of traveling long distances. This was so important as I am unable to drive. I could work at my pace and within my abilities. Many people could benefit from this program who otherwise might be prevented by financial circumstances or other restrictions. This program offers great options but as with anything accomplishing this course requires dedication to maintain continual training and daily dedication. Before embarking on this path one must understand having a service dog must be a well thought out plan. Otherwise, if its just a whim, one will fail and perhaps tarnish the whole concept of having service dog and those that do get great benefit.

Heartfelt thanks to The Cardiac Alert training course.
The Cardiac Alert training course is well designed, well researched and well written. My dog is a three year old Maltese mix who excels at focus but, at the start of our training, had difficulty with socializing, having been born during the COVID lockdown. The exercises in the course, along with the opportunity to take each module at our own pace and spend time in our weakest areas, were a big factor in our successfully graduating. I am a great grandmother but had no trouble understanding and following the excellent tuition (with a little help from my very kind tutor). Cheers, SDTS.

Express Psychiatric Service Dog Training
This was a great course that you can do at your own pace. Feedback is very quick so you can progress to the next lesson.
I was told the Express course would take about 1 week. Absolutely no way. My dog is already very well trained and is easy to train. I think 1 week would not allow a dog to digest new information or commands. Plus, if you have health issues a week is just too much too fast. If you want to go at a very comfortable pace for both you and your dog, give yourself 3 weeks to a month. This is just my opinion.

How much time a team might need to complete the course, depends on many factors, including the dog's age, training background, and temperament.
