The Rep assigned to me did not even read the email I sent her. Paula got me an appointment with a completely wrong doctor because she did not even actually read the email that I wrote her. She only read the first word. In turn, this has ruined everything for me, including my future relationships with any doctors since I had panic attack and was too aggressive for his taste.
I went to another doctor after, who immediately said I was being aggressive because I asked him why I was not contacted about the previous days confirmed online appointment for which I waited 2 hours and which the doctor did not attend . Also, my voice was raspy from being sick. I do not know why he thought that so fast, beyond that word spread of my panic attack rage. This is all because a rep named Paula could not bother to actually read what I had sent her. This is not a good option for finding doctors internationally. They do not care and have not even once apologized to me..

I arrived in the Algarve and a few days later had to see a doctor, called Marta our counsellor at Serenity and she was fantastic, she provided local doctors names and addresses and was willing to make the appointment for me. Went to a private clinic, saw a doctor that spoken perfect English and within 2 days had an ultrasound done.

On another occasion I had to get a new prescription, unfortunately they did not have it in Portugal, Marta got on it quickly and had a doctor prescribe the same mediation that was available in Portugal, Now that's service

Not only did they connect us with an excellent family physician, a great dentist, and an ophthalmologist, but they also arranged urgent care when I was very ill with a case of vertigo. My husband and I are recent immigrants to Portugal. We came from the US less than a month ago, just a few days after purchasing Serenity’s monthly membership and physician services. I promptly became ill and injured within a couple days of arriving and WOW! They have done a superb job assisting me through medical appointments, lab work, imaging, specialists, and finding our new Portuguese health insurance. They even helped us make use of a medical discount plan while we waited for our insurance to be approved. So far we’ve saved nearly 3X what our Serenity services cost for a whole year. Moving to another country is a challenge in so many ways. Getting medical care, immediately when you need it- day or night- but not knowing the language or where to go can be daunting. Serenity Portugal bridges the gap with grace, knowledge and skill- not later, but right now, with excellent customer service and a personal nurse care manager. Highest recommendation.

I moved to Portugal from the UK in 2022 (not easy after Brexit), and as I have a chronic health condition that requires monthly treatment - it was not simple. The Portuguese health system is very confusing, and if you don't speak Portuguese you will likely have a very hard time figuring out how to access the care that you need. Serenity helped me to obtain my SNS number (needed for any type of medical treatment), and even helped me with extra bureaucracy that comes with living in Portugal (such as advising me on how to obtain proof of address so that I can sign up at the local doctors surgery). Sofia has been my main contact there, and she is awesome! It has been great to have someone there to support me, answer my questions, and to get in touch with the people that I need to get in touch with at the hospital (since I don't speak Portuguese). Also helped me to get my prescriptions while I've been flying between Portugal and the UK. Honestly can't recommend Serenity enough!

I signed on with Serenity just for peace of mind, thinking I would probably never actually need their services. Within a week, I injured myself working out. I reached out to Claudia, who immediately scheduled an MRI and Surgeon consultation for me. Once it was confirmed that I needed surgery, Claudia, scheduled all of my pre-op tests and coordinated everything with the surgeon's secretary.

Case worker Sofia Costa is a superstar. She researched the best options for where I live and found a physiotherapist, gynecologist, and endocrinologist - all fluent in English while I ramp-up my Portuguese. Grateful!

Serenity provides the best customer service of any business that I've dealt with since I moved to Portugal in May. I didn't know about them at that time, but once I heard about them and emailed for more information, they have promptly responded to every question and concern that I have had. So far, I'm not yet in the SNS system (but soon...), but they have identified physicians who accept my insurance (Médis), set up two appointments (one of them to assist in getting a prescription filled). Like many people, I moved to Portugal with a certain amount of my prescription medicines, filled at a local pharmacy in the United States. This stock become depleted as the weeks in Portugal went by. I called my Serenity case manager, Marta, and explained the situation. Within a few hours, I had new prescriptions for these medicines that I could use at a Portuguese pharmacy. Problem solved.
