I recoursed to Seiko, as the original Vendor of the watch required an absurd amount of money to send an automatic (self-winding) anaologue wrist watch for a service where the mechanism had clearly jammed. The watch has a significant virtual value to me as it is a replacement for a 21st Birthday gift some 40 years ago which had literally been worn to death over those 40 years.

Having made a request to Seiko UK to intervene, they actually contacted me directly and having agreed that the instrument had been stored correctly and although hardly worn, should not have seised the way it had.

They sent me a pre-paid tracking label and special delivery. Confirmed receipt of the instrument and the time expected to return the instrument and once completed a further e-mail to confirm that the maintenance was complete, and as an act of good faith/will would not be charging for the cost of the cleaning nor conveyance costs.

All documentation correctly filed including proforma invoice and 100% Credit Note in compliance with accountancy protocol,

So respectable and trustworthy, and able to comply with sensible time frames. It would appear that working directly with SEIKO Customer Services as opposed to watch dealer a more reliable course to securing good service. Most importantly that I was kept informed of the stages the instrurment was at and its final return to my hands.

I’ve used the service team 3 times in the past two years and they have been brilliant every time. Great to know you have fantastic support for your favourite watches no matter what happens

I used the repair service for my dads very sentimental Seiko watch, he was distraught having dropped it and cracked the glass( it also needed servicing and a clean !)
Fantastic service, upfront with the cost and no surprises.
Kept fully informed of time frame and the watch arrived earlier than anticipated.My dad was delighted with the service provided.

I submitted three watches to Seiko UK recently. Although all the watches are very dear to me, one was a forty-four-year-old digital timepiece that had seen service during most of that period. Despite spare parts being unavailable, due to vintage, the craftsmen managed to restore my trusty servant to working condition. Similarly, my second favourite, 'only' a three-decade veteran, was treated to an overhaul and is now as good as new. The third is my son's and will certainly delight him when he is surprised by it.

This truly was a wonderful standard of service.

Schöne Uhr, aber wenn diese nach buchstäblich 3 Tagen eine eigenartige „Faser“ unter dem Glas vorweist und ich diese einschicken muss, dann ist der Spaß an der Uhr auch ganz schnell vergangen. Wohlgemerkt warte ich immer noch auf die Uhr! Ich habe diese vor 20 Tagen eingeschickt! Lächerlich.

Excellent watches last a long time even automatic is available. Seiko keep up the good work worth the price.

A rapid response to my phone call re a problem with my Lorus watchstrap. A spare was found and arrived promptly by post. Thank you for going the extra mile.

My watch strap had become worn. I tried everywhere to purchase a replacement. Eventually I contacted Lorus.,They responded by saying that my watch wasn’t being sold anymore therefore they didn’t have a replacement watch strap. I then received an email saying they had found an old display watch and that they were sending me the strap free of charge. How refreshing bro receive such service . Thank you

Sent my Seiko Diver Kinetic in for service( new capacitor and battery) new face and bezel waited 12 weeks to get it back.
Only to find it's not making a full charge sent it back free post. And now I'm just waiting again not very good service at a cost of £270 I should have just bought a New Watch :-(

I have had the most professional and efficient service from Seiko UK who replaced the movement in my Seiko Automatic 200m Divers Watch. The watch was re-sealed and pressure tested and is now ready for another 20 years of use. Many thanks to Hazel Welch and the engineers, who have given this valuable heirloom watch a new lease of life.

Should be water resistant and only one deep in the sea the watch got water In.
Few days later it stopped.

Hazel and the Service Team went the extra mile to extend the life of my lovely watch, for which the strap has been discontinued. I am delighted with the result. Thank you all so much!

Managed to talk to a very helpful friendly person in customer services, so lovely to talk to someone. Seiko have been extremely helpful and helped a great deal over my problem with a Lotus watch

This company are totoally incompetent. Sent watch to them via shop and and keep comong up with excuses to not repair it.

Excellent service from Seiko UK. Hazel was very helpful and responded quickly to my enquiries. My Grand Seiko watches were serviced and returned to me much faster than I had expected. It's reassuring to know that whenever I buy a Seiko or Grand Seiko watch I can expect the highest standards of after-care customer service.

Michelle in customer services was patient and efficient in my enquiry re link pin for my Seiko Sapphire Titanium watch.
Not easy to describe over the phone what was required but she was superb.
