1 star as 0 stars wasn’t an option. Ordered a bottle of champagne from the uk for my Aussie friends 40th. 6 weeks on and several emails, still haven’t shipped the bottle and are saying they have “supply issues” and will come back to me soon. I’ve requested a refund but they just reply saying they’ll update me soon. Next step, section 75 chargeback via my credit card company. SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS FIRST! This is clearly a scam company trading as “legitimate” I doubt they ever had any intention to send out my order.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

I ordered champagne from Secret Bottle in December. The order was never delivered and became stuck with Australia Post with no confirmed delivery timeframe.

When I requested a refund due to non-delivery, Secret Bottle refused, claiming the delay was outside their control which is not consistent with Australian Consumer Law.

After weeks of no resolution, I was forced to escalate the matter by lodging a chargeback with my bank and submitting a complaint to NSW Fair Trading.

My advice would be to avoid this company at all costs!

I have ordered from them twice now and…

I have ordered from them twice now and have had a great experience! Most recently, I was a little concerned about shipping after reading recent reviews, but my experience was fantastic. It took about a week for my order to be dispatched, which was expected since I ordered a personalised wine bottle. I reached out to customer service to double-check the timing and make sure it would arrive before Christmas. They responded quickly and were extremely helpful in ensuring the wine was shipped quickly (thanks, Kevin!).

Overall, I highly recommend Secret Bottle. Their personalised products look fantastic and make excellent Christmas gifts!

Terrible Service

Terrible Service! I ordered on 22nd Nov 2025 and have had no information on delivery or dispatch and I'm beginning to think they are a complete scam! I have rung the ''so-called' customer service to be told (via an electronic recording) that no one is available and the email responses are the same each time! Terrible company - probably a scam - don't deal with them!
UPDATE. They got in touch & refunded my money (apparently there were supply issues).

I ordered 10 days ago. The shipment is still pending has not even left the warehouse let alone been delivered.
They are shocking at getting back to you, they just copy and paste the same response every time.
Terrible service and still no answer as to when the shipment will occur.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever.
Placed order and nothing was despatched for 3.5 weeks.
Reached out to customer service countless times and just kept getting told “we will get back to you within 24 hours.”
Before I would have to chase them again. They never ever answer their phone.
Finally they auto-refunded entire order and simply wasted 3.5 weeks of my time.
Do NOT purchase from this company.

Beware not living up to delivery times!

I searched for Stoneleigh Sav Blanc in my suburb in Melbourne as BWS was out of stock and so was Dan Murphy's due to the warehouse strike. Secret Bottle came up at the top of the search results. I ordered 6 bottles and the website stated 2-4 days for delivery. It's been 7 days. I would never have purchased if I'd seen that they are not local at all. They come from Sydney! Adding every location in your ad setup & SEO even when you aren't located in those areas is absolutely wrong & deceptive. Needless to say I will never buy from Secret Bottle ever again. Do Better. Be Honest.

Please do not buy anything from these guys bought 2 cask of wine 1 red 1 white both of them absolutely off, there response send them back at my own cost $25 what a joke completely unprofessional is it my fault that the wines were off No.

Order for an engagement for 150 people 2weeks spent $600 on spirits in advance to have do issues and what did I get first order was forgotten after emailing and calling a stupidly customer care centre who never answered and when they call you back they have no idea order came after two weeks had to go out re buy everything and now trying send order back wish me luck

Don't order

I am still waiting for my order since 3rd August no one answers the phone sent them a email they can't give me a delivery date as staff is away on holidays and they are having phone issues and trying to get it fixed all excuses. The order is all paid for it will be a good idea to read reviews before ordering If I read them I would never have ordered they are taking orders from people and not delivering such a shame disgusting

WARNING ⛔️

My important gift never arrived. The customer service was dreadful and frankly disrespectful and most hardly existent. Weeks after my order I got a notice of refund minus $4 to be refunded mind you. Their phone number doesn’t work and though it seemed they tried to act as this is new and they are working on it a quick read of google reviews tells this has been the case for a very longtime and makes me suspicious they just don’t want to deal with annoyed customers. I didn’t want the refund I wanted my gift delivered even if it was weeks and weeks late and I had zero choice and zero communication regarding this. I use services like this multiple times a year and this has never happened and hands down the worst experience. Don’t waste your time, money and energy on this business and find a trusted one instead!

Ripped me off $340.89 AUD!!!

Worst Online Shopping Experience!!! Sold me a product they did not have instock but said "Instock Ready to Ship" online. I didn't receive a update of this until weeks later. Once i got this update that they could not give me a ETA on it. I requested them to cancel my order and refund the purchase. I informed them i have since changed banks and could they refund it to the new bank account. They said they can only do it to the card that it was purchased from. So i rung up the bank and spoke to multiple people and confirmed it is impossible for them to process a refund to that bank card and account as it no longer exists. It will only every bounce back. A few days later they give me confirmation of the refund which i took to the bank and they have no record of. This happened in July and I am still yet to receive a refund. They never call me back about the issue when i ring and i only ever receive a email reply from Paul Walton saying "I will continue to keep a lookout for a bounce back".

DM me anyone and i have the full email trail to verify.
