Baylee Jones is an outstanding sales executive. He was polite, friendly, efficient and helpful, and worked hard with buyers to provide a fair price for my part exchange and a good deal on my new vehicle. He ensured that the new car was presented in show room condition, serviced and with an extended guarantee. Baylee is a credit to your company. However, if you want honest feedback, he was not totally supported by more senior managers. One did not reply to several calls I made on Baylee’s day off to check details and arrange an exchange of vehicles. This was discourteous.

When I visited Saxtons the representative that dealt with me was very polite and knowledgeable. I wanted to sell my present car and I was asked what price I was expecting. They couldn't give me this, but come up with a near offer so I accepted. I was due to collect my new car 4 days later between 1pm - 2pm. After being welcomed, I sat in the front of the garage for more than 3hrs. They were short staffed, but all I had to do was pay for the car and get new Road Tax. Rather than deal with 1 customer, the staff were dealing with other customers .When a staff member came to do this, I was advised that a MOT would have to be carried out as I had less than 3 months left on the current MOT. This cost £50.00 which I was not advised of when I first visited Saxtons. Also the Road Tax was very high, as I had purchased a Land Rover Evoque and this is classed as a luxury car and only 2 years old. It would have been nice if this was mentioned at our first visit so we were aware of the extra cost being involved.

from first visit to look at car to actually buying the car was easy experience, we even got them to spray wheels at a good price, baylee our salesman was spot on, nothing to much trouble an answered questions an left us alone to disguss car etc, baylee made it a good expience, showroom staff all polite so actually enjoyed experience,

Loui was amazing! He dealt with the issue my car was having. He made us feel at ease while the work was being done. He provided us with support along the way and gave constant updates.

Saxtons have a great selection of cars , to view, not just in the forecourt but in the back which is a vast sheltered area and unbeknown to me several compounds off site .
I was asked to book an appointment, after an initial enquiry, which I thought was unusual , however , I truly haven’t seen a car showroom so busy , it was heaving with customers and salespeople, and despite recommendation, I didn’t book an appointment and the car I wanted to view was off site but they brought it quite quickly and it was well presented even though it had come from offsite compound.
I dealt initially with Baylee who was courteous throughout and very helpful and a credit to Saxtons .

The car was unfortunately prepared with substandard Economy tyres , that whilst looked nice and new ,were completely unsafe and would have invalidated the car’s warranty for the large EV that I was purchasing , after a struggle I managed to to negotiate the makers recommended tyres .

The buying process is similar to most ‘ new car showrooms’ but for a used car found frustrating, be prepared to be sat around for a couple of hours as Baylee disappeared to speak to initially the “Buying team “ to price my trade in and then come back with a ridiculous price before eventually landing at acceptable offer and then after a few more trips too and fri to the back room, to his manager as negotiations continued , before eventually pass me over to Luke , to continue the process who whilst was clearly senior , affable and competent. Still had to apparently disappear off to gain approval for final sale .

This is in my opinion a sales technique, whereby you are left to sweat it out and hopefully wearily submit , if you are willing to just come in and agree to the posted price and accept the car as is , then I’m sure it would be a smoother sales process, and you will depart happy, if not be prepared to be on site for a couple of hours and help yourself to the free drinks on offer .

Once sale agreed , and I returned to pick up car and hand my old car in , the process was extremely quick and efficient.

As I said the showroom is extremely busy not just with customers but a lot of staff, whilst this clearly adds to the overheads, but the cars seem to be priced competitively that enables them to have a high turnover to offset the high staff count ( who all seem extremely busy and are not just sat staring at computer monitors unlike other car showrooms that I have experienced , this is actually great to see and clearly they are doing something right , and in this era where so many new cheap Chinese brands are flooding the market leaving many showrooms void of customers is encouraging.
All in all good value for money with a fair customer service.

Saxtons removed the last review I made.
I purchased an Evoque in March 2026. By the 20th June I rang Saxtons to report an issue with the car, after I was advised by a garage not to drive it. Saxtons collected it on the 2nd July 2026 and it remains with them to date 24th August.
Claim the car was fixed within 2.5 hours of my unannounced visit to their workshop back on 24th July, yet no formal communication advising it was ready for collection came until 10th August.
Saxtons have had my car for 7.5 weeks.
They don't answer the phone, email only communication for aftersales issues. They don't return calls even if you called them.
They are not signed up to the Motor Ombudsman.
I will say the main showroom looks impressive, staff are polite and knowledgeable, the rest has been a poor experience. One I will never repeat in the future.

Beautifully presented LR Defender 90 75th anniversary. Car was available to test drive, a part-ex value was approved on my wife's Audi TT Roadster without it being available for Saxtons to view. There was no re-negotiation when we came to collect the Defender. Sales experience with Ishmael was first class. All paperwork was carried out be email and was a smooth process. Great customer service and I would recommend

I recently bought a Maserati Ghibli from this dealership. Although the car itself is brilliant the manner of presentation and service was terrible

1. As I drove off the forecourt I removed the paper sheets covering the floor mats. To my surprise on the driver side there was a big hole in the mat going to the carpet. I could not believe this. How can a car be prepared for sale and such a mat not be replaced. I returned immediately and spoke to Tom who was the salesperson I was dealing with who informed me he would source a new mat and post it to me. 2 what’s app messages later and I received a voice note stating he was looking for a second hand one to send me. How can you only send me a second hand one this is ridiculous!! I still have not been told one has been sourced and it has been 2 weeks since I bought the car. I have ended buying my own mats.

2. It became apparent that the car was previously owned by a smoker, so I paid for a full valet and ozone treatment to get rid of the smell. How can Saxtons not have done this themselves? On the day of test drive and purchase they had left the car open with all windows open to air it so I would not notice.

3. The car is fitted with 4 budget Chinese branded tyres. This is not what I would expect to be fitted to a performance car like this. I have read other reviews that have also commented Saxtons fits budget tyres to performance cars. In my view unacceptable.

4. When I asked to see the previous service documents I was told they had been scanned and the originals likely thrown away and they would be what’s apped to me. After pushing the original documents were produced. I should not need to push to view the original service documents and I would say it is completely unprofessional to what’s app service documents for a purchased car.

5. For the in house service performed by the dealership I had to call and email to remind them to send it to me later as apparently it was not available on the day of purchase. How is there not a folder ready for the car with all relevant documentation in it?!!

Overall excellent cars, but presentation and care is lacking. Be prepared to spend some more money on the car after purchasing to get it up to standard.

Harry was very knowledgeable and took the time to show me various cars and had the patience to go through all options .
There was no hard sell.
Aymane was a pleasure to deal with on handover and was professional ensuring I was happy with paperwork and ensured the car was taxed and insured.
He also took the time to explain the part exchange process and it was seemless

Really enjoyed my experience at Saxtons! The service was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and everything was spot on. A special shoutout to Michael for being so friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout. He really made the visit even better. Would happily recommend Saxtons and will definitely be back!

Great range of vehicles and great service

⚠️ Disappointing Experience – Please Be Careful

We are very disappointed with Sextons, After buying the Range Rover Sport, we noticed that it was pulling to the left. We had the alignment checked, but the problem continued.

After a professional inspection, we were informed that the car had one original/company tyre and three Chinese/non-original tyres, and that the mismatch could be the reason for the pulling issue. This was something we were not informed about when purchasing the car.

We went back to the company expecting them to take responsibility, but they told us that because it had already been 4 months, they could not help and that we would have to pay for replacement tyres ourselves.

They also charged us for a 36-month warranty covering the engine and other parts, but after this experience, we are concerned about how genuine future warranty claims will be handled.

We are extremely dissatisfied with the deal and the way our concern has been handled.We feel completely let down by their transparency, service, and responsibility.

Public notice: Please don’t trust their words blindly. Get the tyres, alignment, warranty, and overall condition of the car checked by an independent professional before buying. Make sure everything is disclosed and confirmed in writing.

We are sharing our experience so others can be careful and make an informed decision before purchasing.
