I arrived at the locker
I arrived at the locker, with the code. Didn't work. Phoned the number, none of the code they have me worked. Couldn't get the machine for the job I really needed to get done that day. Disappointed... Will think again before booking

Rented a rug doctor for my end of…
Rented a rug doctor for my end of tenancy clean as it worked really well last year. This year the machine was dirty and did not leave my carpet clean or get any stains out.

Simplicity of booking collecting and even using. The Tesco’ pick-up point was so handy.
The cleaning products I used with the machine resulted in a top quality finish to our carpets.

Overall great, a couple of negatives
The pick up from the store was well explained and smooth. The machine itself looked like it hadn’t been cleaned from previous use, so I had to clean out gunk from the water inlet. Once cleaned, the machine worked well. Suction wasn’t great because the rubber seal around the clear vacuum lid on the top of the machine had been turned the wrong way. Once I put it back on properly the suction was fab. It can get expensive when purchasing the cleaning fluid from Rug Doctor like I did. However the fluid works well and has a pleasant smell. I mainly used the hand tool which was easy to install, if a little fiddly. It cleaned our rug extremely well and I was pleased with the results. Overall I would recommend and use the service again.

Great overall but checks need to be done
Pickup was easy - plenty of clear instructions on how to collect from Tesco. Machine was easy to use and did the job. Much cheaper than hiring someone to do it for me. If I had one complaint it would be that the previous person did not clean the machine after use - it was disgusting, so not sure if this can be checked before hiring out to another person.

Our machine was quite dirty when we collected it , and the attachment didn’t work , but the helpline was really good and they offered a full refund

The only problem.
The only problem I have is that the machine is too heavy. Removing the white bucket before lifting helps.
Otherwise, it’s fine.

We hired the rug doctor to clean our living room carpet. Once home we followed the instructions and as I started to use it the machine left 3 long black lines on the carpet, like oil marks. Dreadful

Excellent cleaning! Don't Trust the room amount on the bottle though.
Excellent cleaning. I highly recommend. My VERY grubby carpets and shaggy rug came up like new. The machine was easy to use. It was easy to book, collect and return and carpets were dry over night.
My only negative comment is; take no notice of the number of rooms on the cleaning solution bottles. I bought the the 4 room bottle and it just about did two rooms so I had to run out and buy more. But I will definitely use again and buy the big bottle to begin with.
