Ruby has solved our reception needs. We've traditionally done it in house, but it was a huge time suck for our employees that created significant time management issues. Ruby's receptionists fit the bill. They are kind, respectful, and no one has any idea that those individuals aren't here with us in Louisville!

We started with a different service because, honestly, it was substantially less expensive while still promising the same service Ruby offers. It was a level 11 disaster. It took me 3 days to realize those clowns were costing me clients and wouldn't/couldn't be fixed, so I quickly pulled the plug on the other service and called Ruby. Other service took 2 weeks to get us up and running, Ruby took 24 hours. As with any new service, issues will come up early that require tweaks. Ruby resolved every issue that came up within an hour, some literally in minutes. Other service said they would address "problem tickets" within 48 hours (can you imagine thinking that 2 days was fast enough to fix a problem with the first impression customers get of your business???). Initially I thought Ruby's customer service department name "The Happiness Team" was cheesy. After getting their super-efficient help a few times, I came to realize that the name was actually perfect. Took my stress level from a 10 to 1 with each issue.
tl;dnr version: Ruby has been amazing, responsive and professional. If you care about your customer's experience with the people that answer your phones, Ruby is the way to go. It costs more than some other large competitors, but you absolutely get what you pay for and more. Don't make the same mistake I did picking by a service on cost alone.

Ruby staff are always chipper and we receive compliments from client-callers that our "recepitonist" sounds nice. We sometimes acknowledge the compliment and do not disclose that she or he is a Ruby employee.

Ruby is good but inconsistent. For example, they do some things well - they pick up the phone, greet clients appropriately, gather information I need, etc. Unfortunately, they don't do this all the time. Sometimes, I set myself to available and they don't put calls through to me. Other times, they don't set an appointment for a new client, don't take detailed enough messages, get names or e-mail addresses for clients wrong, etc. If they could be more consistent I think they could do a much better job, because the employees who do good work do really good work.

Recently, a former legal assistant, now retired, called my office and the phone was answered by Ruby. The assistant's first comment: "Well I never sounded that cheerful when I answered your phones." These people are as professional as you can get in this business.
