I attended one of the workshops - the shop is a lovely setting for them and they are always enjoyable. The shop is also where I go to buy presents - beautiful ceramics and other lovely things.

Lei was so helpful in arranging a birthday present for my sister-in-law. So many beautiful things to choose from.

Although Rouge mailed the Finnish letter mohair throw immediately after my order it was apparently in a U.S. customs facility for a week. However it was definitely worth the over 2 week wait. It is absolutely beautiful and I love it! It is exquisitely soft and the marled cranberry/orange colors are an unusual but gorgeous mix. Highly recommend Rouge and this throw.

Our family of five did a ‘family dumpling making’ workshop at Rouge. Lei was so amazingly brilliant, she tweaked the workshop around our requirements (meat, but some pork-free) and was so good with the kids. It was amazing to see them using enormous knives safely under her guidance and the dumplings themselves were completely delicious. Would highly recommend this for a fun, collaborative and filling family day out.

A beautiful shop full of unique things you can't find elsewhere and everything has a story. A hidden Hackney gem for furniture, home accessories, etc... I like to shop at independents

It’s an authentic Chinese culture shop. Owner Lei has a good taste and a good will in spreading wise and rich cultural soil. Thanks for being there.

I did attend a workshop at Rouge - Calligraphy Class. Rouge provided a very relaxed informal welcoming atmosphere. The Calligraphy teacher was very helpful and clear in her instructions etc. I really enjoyed the class. I learnt basic Calligraphy skills and I would attend another class. Rouge was a great host.

Wonderful place, we visited Rouge for two workshops both of outstanding quality and enjoyment.

I ordered online to collect from the shop. Prompt follow up from someone who turned out to be too ill to go into work, but her colleagues had everything wrapped & ready when I went in.

This was a deeply enjoyable experience. It gradually revealed the techniques of traditional hand dyeing with indigo in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Beautiful, local shop with the loveliest ceramics and furniture pieces. Great workshops and classes too that feel really welcoming and genuine. Run by the warmest people. This is one of my favourites.

Went along to a dumpling making workshop at Rouge and it was a great experience. Learned all the steps of the process (making the filling, using a rolling pin to make the dumpling skins, and folding them by hand). The whole experience was a lot of fun, very educational, and the dumplings tasted great.

This is one of my favourite shops. Lei is a truly wonderful human/ shop owner/ bringer together of the local community. I took part in the sewing workshop there and absolutely loved it, met new people, bumped into a neighbour (!) and enjoyed the vibe of the place.

A welcoming, peaceful space. I’d like to attend more events and classes here.

The beautiful blue cast iron incense burner is excellent quality, and looks even better than pictured on line. Equally impressive was the best quality product packing for shipping that I have ever seen. I will never worry about damage to any future orders from Rouge. The care and quality in their shipping precludes that. You may order with absolute confidence!
