Genuine product as described, even sent picture of the product with serial number to check authenticity. Price was just just a bit higher than my usual online place but service was good enough to justify the increase. Although the price is most definitely better compared to local online UK usual companies like Amazon, Scan, Ebuyer and Overclockers etc. Definitely buy again if they have the right product I'm looking for.

Ordered 2 x New OEM Toshiba MG 16TB drives.

Delivery was great, arrived as expected and Royal Mail was used, drives were well packed and functional.

Now, as expected as for the drives, genuine and functional however, these are OEM drives so, a bit of pot luck on them, one thing was expected and the other unexpected.

1 of the 16TB hard drives, was brand new and unopened but manufractured in 2021 so unused but 4 years old at this point. (This one appears to be from US stock)

The other drive was not 16TB but the 20TB model, which was a bit confusing but this drive was manufactured early 2025 so no issues there, going to be unused space in a 16TB RAID array but still, checks that box. (This one appears to be EMEA stock)

However, I purchased these on the premise the 5 years warranty Toshiba normally offers would be honoured as mentioned on the website so that is why I was completely okay with the purchase (having both manufactured 2025 drives would of been ideal but as long as the 5 year warranty is honoured, I have no concerns)

Cancelled my order without any explanation after i had taken out credit to finance an order of hard drives. I received an email a week ago telling me due to update of stock there would be a delay of 5-9 days and to reppy if i wanted to cancel, i did not reply to that email. Offered no vouchers, discounts or information due to this blunder and now i am out of pocket and need to find another supplier despite the markets moving in a upwards trend meaning i now will lose out AGAIN in costs. Had nightmares with this seller even taking the original order due to paypal blocking it also because it was untrusted. Terrible terrible experience.

Received on time without any issues. Drive checks out. Not fully tested as its a backup NAS drive.

I bought 3x20TB Seagate HDD's as it was about £100 cheaper each vs any other retailer and this seller offers 5 year warranty them self's.

I was concerned about import TAX as they got shipped from Singapore but can gladly report, no additional fees incurred.

I will be shopping here again in future.

I have bought refurbished hard drives three times now from Robert Electronics, and every time they have arrived earlier than expected and in great condition. The date of manufacture has always been less than 18 months ago as well. I am very happy with this service.

Ordered 4*20TB recertified drives from singapore to UK on 7 august with a 7-9 business day estimate, they arrived on the 13th (so 6 elapsed days). Each drive was in a antistat bag, then well protected in polystyrene, the whole box was then well sealed

I bought two 12TB Seagate IronWolf Pro hard drives from Robert Electronics, which they had classed as "Grade A(USED) FULL TESTED 5 YEARS WARRANTY.

I had expected to receive a drive that had been used for a little while, so was initially pleased to see the stickers on the drives indicated they had been manufactured in December 2024. I checked the serial numbers on the Seagate website and was surprised to see the drives were both out of warranty, which should've been valid until December 2029.

I checked SMART and FARM data using Smartctl and found that while the SMART data indicated 0 usage on both drives (having been reset), the FARM data indicated that one drive had been online for more than 2.5 years and the other for more than four years. At time of writing it is eight months to the day since the 'manufacture date' on the stickers, so not only has the SMART data been reset, but the stickers have been replaced to give the impression the drives are much newer than they are. Concerningly, the FARM data also returns blanks in the 'Model Number' field, so I can't even be sure that these are even the same model of drive as advertised.

I'd encourage anyone who has bought a HDD from Robert Electronics to check your drives haven't been reset or re-labelled. I've emailed Robert Electronics with the Smartctl results and images of the drives and will update if I receive a response.

My second purchase and very happy.
The drives arrive quickly (considering the ones I purchased came from the Singapore warehouse) and very well packaged.
Both of the drives I've bought so far are working perfectly and I know i'll be back for at least a couple more in the near future.

This is my first time buying from this company, so far it has been a wonderful experience. The drive came relatively quickly and was well packaged, with the drive well protected from bumps. I have added it to the one in my NAS. I don't see any difference in noise from the one I bought from Curry's PC. Everything is working well. It took Ugreen almost 18 hours to repair the RAID. This is a good indication that the Hard drive is working well.

I was initially a little cautious. We've all been taught "if its too good to be true, it probably is" but I did a little research and thought I'd give it a go (ordering on the credit card so I had protection if there was a problem).

I ordered four 12TB refurbished Seagate Ironwolf Pro drives. They arrived just under two weeks after ordering as they had to be shipped from abroad. All four drives were packaged in what appeared to be the original manufacturer's anti-static bags, still sealed. Each drive was completely encased in thick foam and secured inside a cardboard box with no movement. This was completely wrapped in watertight plastic. I honestly don't think I've ever seen packing this good!

I checked all the drives over before putting them in my NAS. There were no marks in the slightest on the drives, not even slight scratching on the SATA ports leading me to believe they'd never been used. I put the drives in to my NAS and ran a SMART check which showed that all the drives had 0hrs power-on time. They were clearly brand new but likely old stock. All but one were still in the manufacturer's warranty and Robert Electronics provides an additional warranty - given their quality packing and reliable service, I believe they will honour this but I am yet to test it.

All four drives were added to a RaidZ1 (ZFS) array and perform absolutely exceptionally! Drive speeds aren't an issue and storage appears to be spot on (I've got about 8TB already loaded on the drives) - these are definitely genuine drives.

Contrary to my initial hesitations, I am absolutely over the moon with my purchase and have already recommended friends to purchase their drives here. I will certainly be buying future drives and any replacements through this company. The UK has a shortage of refurbished drives compared to markets like the US, it seems that Robert Electronics has found their niche hence the excellent pricing and service.

Great service yet again, actually even better than expected. Ordered used grade a 10TB Seagate on Sunday, it was posted in UK Manchester on Sunday and arrived in the Highlands on Tuesday. Drive is a 2023 drive with a couple of hours on it (and verified). Thank you once again.

I bought a '(used)Grade A' HDD for a very good price - but it was new in the unopened packet - amazing value.
