Dissapointing experience

Having previously attended a very enjoyable wedding at this Barn some years ago, I was dissapointed to attend more recently and find things had changed dramatically. The drink prices have increased beyond a reasonable level, the Barn lacked love and attention with noisy staff during the wedding ceremony, chipped toilet seats, an unfortunate smell coming from the sewage system and staff that were abrupt when asked for minor things. The worst part was the decibel reader for the noise, this cut the electrics to the band repeatedly, leaving us with no music until it could reset itself. You would think being a purpose built wedding venue, there would an expectation of louder than average music. I would not recommend this as a wedding venue to any future couples.

We take great care to ensure each event runs smoothly, and we’re disappointed to hear that aspects of the day fell short for you. While we always strive to be welcoming and discreet, we’ll review the concerns raised about staff presence and ceremony noise with our team.

Our bar prices are fixed, competitive within the local events market, and clearly displayed. Regarding the sound limiter, this is a condition of our licence and is managed closely with each couple and their band to help avoid disruption. We are actively investigating the issues raised to ensure this does not impact future events.

Absolutely stunning venue and…

Absolutely stunning venue and incredible staff! I had Natasha looking after me from the day I booked the venue right up to the day itself, she helped me plan the wedding and made sure everything ran smoothly. I couldn’t have wished for a better venue, I’m so happy we have such wonderful memories in such an incredible place.

Rivervale Barn is Magical!

Rivervale Barn is an extraordinary wedding venue. If you are looking to have an outside wedding or a barn wedding where venue and reception space are in the same place this is a perfect venue for you. We got married in the beautiful outside space called The Spinney which was wonderful and something I could have only imagined in my dreams so it was special to actually get married outside. The entire experience from viewing the venue to the wedding day itself was fantastic. The events and catering team are phenomenal and went above and beyond to ensure our small wedding went off without a hitch. The food for our wedding breakfast was delicious and we received lots of compliments on the food. There is a honeymoon cottage onsite which we stayed in on our wedding night, which again is beautifully decorated and very spacious. I honestly cannot thank the events and catering team enough and never will be able to express how amazing each and every one of them were. Thank you for helping us kick off our married life with a bang. We are forever thankful!

As a wedding photographer

As a wedding photographer, I had the opportunity to capture a beautiful wedding at Rivervale Barn in recent years. This venue truly stands out as a venue unlike any other, offering a complete wedding experience to its couples.

From the moment you step inside Rivervale Barn, you are struck by its beautiful construction and design. It is a venue that has been perfectly crafted with weddings in mind, and it shows in every aspect of the venue. The staff at Rivervale Barn is also a standout feature. They are caring, passionate, and truly dedicated to making your wedding day everything you have dreamed it would be.
