Title: Extremely disappointed — insurer refuses to pay after 10 months - Riverside Insurance (Orchard claim number 10038271/EN)

I filed a legitimate refund claim within my policy limits and provided all required documentation (car repair invoice, rental invoice, car rental agreements and my bank statement showing a charge of €2,502 debit). I also facilitated direct communication between the rental company and the insurer to speed resolution.

For 10 months, both the insurer and I requested confirmation from the rental company. The repair centre charged €3,160.96, the rental company charged me €2,502 (the maximum under the rental agreement) — there is clear evidence of the actual cost. Despite this, the insurer has repeatedly delayed and is using this discrepancy as an excuse not to process my refund.

Customer service was unhelpful, slow to respond, and failed to provide a firm timeline. After 10 months of follow-ups, I still haven’t received my refund or a satisfactory resolution. I cannot recommend this insurer based on my experience.

It was reasonably priced. I didn't need to claim so didn't really use it.

Thanks to the person (Emily) that was on the CHAT! she helped me to buy the product I needed. The website was giving all kind of problems. In fact, due to the website issues, I was about to buy the insurance with another company, but thanks to Emily, I managed to buy it with Riverside.

Till today I had no bad experience or problems but some of the car hire employee on the counter do not like when I tell them that I have my own insurance and they try to make me to have their insurance but I always resist and continuing hire cars with the "Riverside Insurance Agency Malta Limited".

Rimborso infinito. Normalmente noleggio le auto tramite Booking che per fortuna si affida a società di assicurazione serie che quando devono risarcire, intervengono nella gestione della pratica direttamente nei confronti della società di noleggio. In questo caso purtroppo non mi sono affidato al mio solito sito ma mi sono fatto abbindolare da un'offerta trovata sul sito CarJet e quindi mi sono imbattuto in questa società di assicurazione chiamata RIverside Insurance Agency Malta Limited che non solo non interviene direttamente nella gestione della pratica con la società di noleggio ma sta cercando ogni pretesto per allungare il tempo presunto di risarcimento. Dico presunto poichè spero ancora di recuperare i miei soldi. Dopo avermi chiesto un estratto conto dove risulta l'addebito della franchigia (non è bastata la fattura di addebito di RENTSMART24), ora mi chiedono di dimostrare che la società non intende restituirmi i soldi poichè io sono stato tamponato e ho consegnato il CID dove la controparte si è assunta la totale responsabilità del danno (ho già scritto una recensione sulla società di noleggio RENTSMART24 su tale pratica assurda). Nel caso precedente l'assicurazione è intervenuta nella gestione della pratica e si è rivolta direttamente alla società di noleggio. Mai più avrò a che fare con questi incompetenti
