I am extremely disappointed with Retrofête’s customer service and return process.
On Monday (2/9/2026), I emailed to request a return label because the dress did not fit properly. I also attempted to call both the store and the customer service line, but no one answered. I sent a follow-up email and called again on Wednesday at 8:53 AM and 12:57 PM, and still received no response.
On Thursday, I finally received a generic email directing me to a return link. After submitting the requested information, the system stated that the item was not eligible for return. I then contacted the store and was told the item was “final sale.” However, this was not indicated on the website at the time of purchase. I went back to verify and did not see any clear final sale designation.
I called the store again and spoke with Jake, who advised that only customer service could assist me. Unfortunately, customer service has not answered calls or responded to emails.
I am simply trying to return an unworn item that does not fit and receive a refund, but the lack of communication and unclear final sale labeling has made this unnecessarily difficult. I hope Retrofête will address this issue and improve both their customer service responsiveness and the clarity of their return policy #RF395245 -

I recently got married. I wore two dresses from Retrofete. One for our welcome party and one for my second dress. I was concerned after reading the poor reviews. I had no issues with their customer service. One dress was way to big so I sent it back and exchanged it for a smaller size. If I have another reason to dress up for any special occasion I will order from Retrofete every time.

I wish I would’ve looked here before I purchased from Retrofete. I saw that this outfit I had been eyeing was on final sale so I took a chance. It looks beautiful on the model. When I got it, it felt like a rubber tire. The fabric is so thick and cheap. And the fit is completely different than what the model is wearing. They’ve clearly altered it. There is no waist on the one I got. And the legs are longer than any female probably would ever be. I didn’t even ask for my money back. I just asked if they would give me a credit or exchange it but they said no. Now I understand why they have to sell it final sale. If they sold it any other way, it would always be returned. Do not purchase from this store!!

BUYER BEWARE! I was genuinely excited to receive my order of black pants from Retrofete, but my experience turned out to be deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, the pants did not fit at all. To make matters worse, I was informed that the item was final sale - a policy I found both inflexible and unreasonable for an e-commerce business and a price of $190. Whats most frustrating is that Retrofete's customer care team showed ZERO willingness to assist or offer any accommodation, even a simple exchange or store credit. Their lack of empathy and unwillingness to stand behind their product speak volumes about how little they value their customers. This was first purchase from Retrofete, and it will undoubtedly be my last. For a brand that positions itself as premium, their service and policies are anything but. I ordered two of the same dress (different sizes, each $1,200) on April 10th for my June wedding. Only one dress was delivered. Since the second wasn’t going to arrive in time, I reached out on April 25th to cancel the order. My email was acknowledged, and I was told I’d receive a cancellation confirmation within 1–2 business days — which never came.
Five months later (September!!!), the dress was never delivered, yet I was still charged for both ($2,400!). I’ve followed up multiple times via email with no response, and I’ve called their customer service and store numbers without anyone ever answering.
I was so excited to purchase a Retrofete dress, but this is a SCAM of a company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I returned a dress with original exterior tags intact. The item sent back to me was not the same -- it had been altered, showed signs of wear, and did not match the condition or product I purchased. The company initially refused my return, providing photos of a completely different dress that is not mine.
Their own records show my return sat in their possession for 17 days before processing -- well beyond their stated return policy window. Anything could have happened to my item during that period, yet no thorough investigation appears to have been conducted.
This is not about the money but about being treated honestly and fairly.
Original Item Returned: 7/7/25 Dress with original exterior tags intact; unworn and unaltered.
* Item Received Back: 8/8/25 Not the same dress -- altered, clear signs of wear, not in original condition.
* False Claim: 7/31/25 Company initially refused return, providing photos of a completely different dress that is not mine.
* Delay in Processing: Return sat in company's possession for 17 days before any action taken -- beyond their stated return policy window.
* Risk During Delay: Anything could have happened to my returned item during this extended period.
* Lack of Proper Investigation: No evidence provided of a thorough, good-faith review of my claim.
* Principle Over Value: Dispute is not about the monetary value, but about fair and honest treatment as a customer

If you want the worst customer service experience and extremely poor quality for your hard earned money go ahead and shop away!!!! Never ever again!!!!!!! Complaint also raised with PayPal which they failed to acknowledge!!!

WORSE COMPANY EVER. We returned item end of October until today don't have refund. We send numerous email and we did the refund you will have it with 3 to 5 business days no refund again calling or emails same answer and no refund. Every time we ask to speak manager or supervisor answer she is with another client she will call back and no refund still.
Sending out wrong size dresses saying final sale is fraud
They sent me a dress that is clearly mislabeled the wrong size. I’m 150 pounds and 5’3 and got a Medium. I have a 38 inch chest so a 34dd and 38 hips. The medium is really big on me, which has never happened in my entire life. It’s definitely a large. They refuse an exchange and Said Sales are final. Except for the fact they committing fraud and sending the wrong size. They didn’t send me what they promised. I’m filing a claim and complaint of fraud against them. It is illegal what they’re doing, I don’t think they’re aware of that. They will be soon. It’s called false advertising and fraud. I legally have the right to return the item or exchange it for what I properly ordered in the description. If they cannot meet the description, they need to refund my money and take back the item.

This was supposed to be my second dress for my wedding.
I ordered first dress by looking at the size guide on their website which said that XS
Will fit perfect.
When I received the dress, the dress was way smaller from their website description.
So i go ahead and return and in the meanwhile I ordered a similar dress since they don’t have that same dress size S anymore I ordered that similar dress in strapless size S
I get the dress size S, but it’s too big.
And suddenly they had that first dress size S so I called them to make sure that they do have they said they did.
I returned the second dress and ordered the first size S, when I got it it was big again and I look at the size they sent me size M.
Their refunds are between 7-10 days I did NOT get my refund from the first dress after 10days (not including weekends)
Mind you I paid $1400 for each of those dresses and extra $46 for shipping protection, when I called about the third dress they did NOT wanted to refund the shipping protection for the third dress when they we’re not supposed to ship it, they were supposed to contact me and let me know that they dont have my size and cancel the order!!!!!!!
Anyway they made $139 on me without any dress.
Never buying there again!!!
