Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. I paid extra for next-day delivery and expected the service I selected at checkout. When it became clear that the delivery would not arrive as promised, I cancelled the order. Despite the next-day service not being provided, the company was only willing to refund part of the delivery charge as a "gesture of goodwill" rather than issuing a full refund.
The retailer has a contract with its courier service, so any delivery issues should have been addressed directly with the courier rather than being passed on to the customer. As the customer, I paid the retailer for a specific service and should not have been left out of pocket when that service was not delivered.
To make matters worse, I received no email confirmation or notification regarding the cancellation and was effectively ignored when trying to obtain updates. The lack of communication and accountability only added to an already frustrating experience.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. Poor customer service, poor communication, and an unwillingness to take responsibility when a paid-for service was not delivered. The offer of only a partial refund for a service that was not provided was unacceptable.

Your order was dispatched immediately on the next‑day service you selected. We use a premium courier to minimise potential issues, and this is reflected in our many 5‑star reviews for delivery speed and customer service. Over 97% of orders arrive on time, but occasional courier issues can and do occur, which can be frustrating for both customer and retailer and are outside our control.
When you notified us of the delay, we checked straight away, though DPD had not yet provided any reason. Once the delay was highlighted and the tracking updated, we informed you immediately. At that point, there was nothing further we could do to speed up the process.
Regarding the delivery charge, we offered a reduced delivery cost below our standard rate as a goodwill gesture because it was not delivered next day. You then demanded it be delivered for free or cancelled. As we were not prepared to agree to free delivery, we followed the option you gave us and cancelled the order. Your refund was issued in full, so you have not been left out of pocket.
We always help where we can and will continue working to maintain the high service levels reflected in our reviews.
