​I purchased three 16mm high-density mats for a custom DJ booth build, and the results are flawless. If you are dealing with wooden floors, these are a non-negotiable alternative to expensive "audiophile" isolation products.

​The Project:
I used two mats as a solid base on the floor and cut the third to size to create a decoupled "sandwich" between my IKEA Expedit base and the Idåsen worktop. This creates a 16mm shadow gap that kills structure-borne vibration and protects my Technics 1210 needles from skipping—even at high volumes. I even used the leftover material to insulate my surround sound subwoofer, which has tightened up the low-end significantly by stopping the floorboards from rattling.

​Handling & Customizing:
The mats are dense but easy to trim. I used a heavy-duty pair of all-metal scissors, which cut through the rubber cleanly. Pro tip: Don’t use scissors with plastic handles; the material is dense enough that you’ll likely snap them.

​Delivery & Experience:
The mats arrived rolled together in a 30kg box. It’s a substantial package, but the delivery team was great and had no issues carrying them up a flight of stairs. There was a noticeable "new rubber" smell on opening, but this dissipated quickly with a bit of air.

It was easy to find what we needed on line. Easy to order. Fast delivery. The grass mat was heavy to move, we used sack wheels to get it where we needed it. Once in place it unrolled easily. Ideal for what we needed. Non slip, safe environment.

We had an area in our garden, where the grass was always unsuccessful and it often became slippery. The Grass mats arrived promptly after ordering and the are now in position in the area needed and with a gravel covering. It's completely solved the problem. Thank you
