Misleading policy and poor customer…
Misleading policy and poor customer service.
Their policy clearly states no excess at the call-out, yet when I needed assistance, customer service tried to charge me an extra fee. This completely contradicts the written terms. When I questioned it, they were unhelpful and dismissive.
I cancelled immediately — I cannot trust a company that advertises one thing and delivers another.

My membership ran out
My membership ran out. I had forgotten to renew so I renewed over the phone and (2 times I was promised both postal and email renewal would arrive shortly, but no postal 1 month later. I have been a member many years and used the breakdow service twice over the years that part was good. But something is not right with office staff now.
Sorry just received my postal documents. Looks like they have been batered about with the post all good now.

Rang customer service to lower my renewal price...Jack was very helpful. I've never actually broken down as yet so I don't know how they are at rescuing me? But they seem to offer all the right things.

I’d rather pay a bit more and get a rescue service that actually comes out to rescue me!!
Been with Rescuemycar for a few years but never had cause to need them until recently. I just needed a jump start but they refused to come out until I supplied the name and address of a garage to take my car to (even though I just needed a jump start)!! 🤷🏻♂️ I’ve never heard of this before from a rescue company. I didn’t know the address of any local garages to take my car to let alone if I had been on holiday in a place I don’t know and broke down at like 10pm or 11pm. What happens then? They just leave you there?? Anyway, managed to get a family member to come out instead and then took out membership of one of the bigger rescue services. Yes Rescuemycar are cheap but I guess you get what you pay for. I’d rather pay a bit more and get a rescue service that actually comes out to rescue you.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback, and I’m really sorry for the frustration caused.
We ask for a recovery destination such as a garage at the point of reporting the breakdown because if a recovery is needed, our recovery operators must be able to plan their jobs and routes in advance. Without a destination, it becomes very difficult to manage workloads and make sure we can get everyone attended to safely and efficiently.
A jump start is only a temporary repair, and we’d always expect you to go to a garage afterwards. Without that, the same fault could happen again, and we wouldn’t be able to keep attending for the same issue in future until a permanent repair has been made.
