When in doubt, check for ridiculous fruit/veg colors, if they have a contact phone number THAT WORKS!, where they are shipping from and the duration, and if they have deals on seeds you don't commonly see (like red brocolli), or everything is on sale!
Beyond terrible customer service. Ordered seeds in November, two months later still don't have, despite being told multiple times that they were shipping... and then had shipped. Months later, you think they would have simply sent a replacement packet, but no. Never going back there and reccomend that you don't either.
Not legit, they have a diverse seed catalogue, they will say they have items in stock, they will charge your card for said seeds, then they send you an email saying NOT IN STOCK and issue you a payment back on your credit card... I have NOT received that money back on my card... crooks they are!!
My order was a BIG disappointment. Ultimate Giant tomato seeds from Reimer produced cherry tomatoes, My Kung Pao pepper seed from Reimer's produced caballero peppers. Linny and Gracies yellow tomato seeds and the Great White tomato seeds from Reimers turned out to produce the exact same tomato. Tjhe Dixie Golden Giant & Kentucky Beefsteak tomato seeds also produced the exact same tomato. Order from Reimer's and you will get seeds , just not what you order.
Not one single seed germinated, I researched seed quality testing.. still not one seed sprouted.. indoors, and certainly nothing outdoors !!
I ordered from Reimer Seeds before reading any reviews about them. A friend informed me about a history of bad reviews after my order was placed. However, after seeing "Under New Management" on their website, I was hopeful things might have improved.
Good change #1: I received my seeds exactly a week after I ordered. The shipping costs seemed a tad high, but not outrageous, and they were up-front about the costs, so I consider this fair and accepted their terms. Their shipping information included tracking along the way, and e-mail updates so that I knew when the seeds arrived at my house. Also, some growing tips were provided by e-mail.
Good change #2: Of the seeds I ordered, several were for plants I intended to start indoors (tomatoes and peppers). Of these, all varieties germinated, and I would say roughly 90% or more of each variety germinated.
Good practice #3. For most things, they promise a certain number of seeds. Typically 20 for tomatoes. The packets I received all contained more seeds than promised. Sometimes far more.
I see Reimers as a company trying to improve. If the company continues with the good customer service I received, I hope they can re-build consumer trust. I will order from them again.
Rip off. They have low prices but the seed pack has very few seeds. Then their shipping is off the wall expensive. I placed an order on 10/31/22 and in the comments section I complained about the shipping cost. They emailed me with an order cancellation. Reason? Customer complained about high shipping cost. Other seeds I purchased from reimer had low germination rate. 2 packs, 0 germination.

I ordered a few 'complicated' seeds and a few regular ones. NOTHING germinated, despite trying many methods to germinate. She shippment took 3 months to go through customs in winter. I suspect they froze or were generally unviable to start with.
I reported a problem, filled out their BS form on what I did for planting and care etc. They accused me of not following planting instructions to a T and that's why they didnt germinate, and gleaned out what they wanted from my reply to say I'm a moron and can't read so I get nothing in return. I have a diploma in greenhouse production and am practicing in my trade. Eg of standard seeds: chicory and watermelon (bloody weeds)... I asked to be forwarded to a manager and was rudely replied to again and told no. This company does not care about quality product nor customer service. NEVER USE THEM!
I ordered Yellow Granix onions from 4 places - A little experimental test. It looks like grass in growing in my indoor LED system for germination. EXCEPT NO SEEDS GERMINATED from the Reimer seeds. Zero. It looks like lush green grass in all the cells except the Reimer row. Eden Brothers grew the best, btw, but all seeds grew from the the other companies.
My father made a purchase in March for Jumbo Virginia Peanuts, 5lbs. This purchase and shipping total equaled $246.50. He planted the first half in mid May with no successful germination. He planted the second half 2 weeks to date and still no results. He sent the required email as they do not offer a customer service contact number on their website or on the invoice that is provided with shipping. The only option for customers to request a replacement or a refund is to email. The purchase is well within the 120 days of the required timeframe to ask for a refund or replacement. The site states 100% satisfaction guarantee but they decide on replacements/refunds based on other customers responses/issues. How is that acceptable when people order from all over the world? Determining a customers personal experience by the experience others had is also not an acceptable response to send. He is not a new farmer, he has been farming his land for over 35 years. He was told that he didn't follow the instructions from their "Master Gardener", that the ground/soil was too cold, and they were over watered. He has planted in the same soil, at the same time of the year, several different types of peanut seeds and been very successful with the results that he bought from local businesses and ordered from other sites online. He is also a business owner and it is very unprofessional to not provide a contact number when issues do arise from the product you are selling so customers will be properly assisted. Basically, I wish we would have read more of the negative reviews that we are now finding as he has lost money and will not be prosperous as he usually is this time of year from the selling of his peanuts. This was definitely a bad decision and I hope this review will advise others to not purchase from this company.
I ordered 4 tomato and 2 beet seed varieties. I started the beet seeds with 4 other varieties from different companies. Only the Reimer seeds did not germinate. Tomato seeds did germinate though (have not yet confirmed if it’s true to variety). I took pictures and sent the company an email (since they supposedly have a 100% satisfaction guarantee). They sent back an incredibly rude and deranged email saying I had to fill out a long survey about how I grew the seeds (they very pointedly phrased the survey questions like I started the seeds wrong). They also said they would check if anyone else ‘complained’ and if so they would test the germination rate themselves, but wouldn’t do anything if no one else complained. Ridiculous and rude. Do not give this business your business!
Tried to purchase 5 pounds of mint seeds at $575 per pound. Reimer canceled the order without communication, then immediately changed the price per pound of mint to $3000. I have turned them in to the USDA for price gouging. Reimer is already intensely slow to ship items, but you can pay extra to have them ship as a normal company would. As well, their shipping costs are outrageous, charging 3x what shipping providers charge. Reimer also up-charges every way possible in their spammy checkout process. I tolerated them before, but after too many final straws, this company is history to me. I'll fly or drive to wherever neccessary to avoid purchasing from this shady business. I'll FIND suppliers, you crooks.
Total scam - Reemed by Reimer seeds... took order and my money, 4 weeks later many out or stock and arrived too late for season + no refund

Ordered in early April. Seeds came in June, too late for planting and there's no phone. They don't respond to emails. A total scam. Only answered through PayPal notice. They say no returns or refunds.
Poor poor customer service. Left them a bad review on their site and they only post the good reviews. Took forever to get seeds, had to buy from somewhere else, got the other company's seeds way before theirs. Bad communication and NO guarantees or refunds!!!! First and last time ordering from these people. No phone number, email communication only they state and no physical address, only PO box. My fault, shouldve been a clue right there!!!!
Terrible customer service and completely unprofessional. I emailed the company after almost three weeks without email of shipment We paid for expedited shipping. I received a response with an apology, promise to ship the following day, and an offer of refund for expedited shipping. Four days later I received an email stating that now two of our seeds are out of stock and we were refunded $8. No refund for expedited shipping. Of course the seeds were now out of stock since it took three weeks to fill the order!! I emailed inquiring about the shipping refund and this company wanted to argue with me terminology regarding shipping and expedited fees. Sending email after email arguing and finally an email that said “You can’t read English?”!!!! What business manager sends out an email like that. Rather than admit their mistake and attempt to make things right they want to argue and be absolutely unprofessional. I had to email them threatening legal action if they continued to send me emails and they still did. I don’t even want these products now. We will never order from Reimer seeds again. BEWARE!
