Constantly have issues
Constantly have issues on the website. I recently tried changing my account's address and the website refused to display anything on the page but the website's header and a blank white background. Things like this happen often. The User Interface is borderline indecipherable and even as a technologically adept person I struggle to find what I'm looking for on both the website and app. Regions is an awful, cheap bank that should never be used.

Don't use Regions, I left bank after 15 years
I have been with bank for 15 years. Direct Deposit, credit card, line of credit, savings - and their customer service is horrible! I was having difficulties adding Debit Card to Apple/I-phone and the experience I had with customer service had me moving all of my accounts to Wells Fargo. I even went into Bank and described my experience and they shrugged and said I understand. What? People I am the kind of customer a bank wants. Do yourself a favor and pass on this bank even if it seems convenient - you will thank me in the long run!
A Great Experience
I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Regions Bank, and especially Mareim Toma, Sr. Consumer Relationship Banker at Alafaya Woods in Oviedo.
I had recently been denied when trying to add my name to my husband’s account at another bank, even though he had been banking with them for many years. It was frustrating and honestly a little embarrassing. I needed a bank statement in my name, so I searched for a bank that could help me and found Regions. I called the branch nearest me, and thankfully Mareim answered.
From the very first phone call, she was incredibly kind, warm and reassuring. She told me to come in and that she would personally help me. I did, and I was approved for a standard checking account.
What impressed me most, though, wasn’t simply being approved. It was how I was treated. Mareim never once made me feel embarrassed or judged. She was patient, compassionate and genuinely happy to help. She even sat with me and walked me through setting up my online banking before I left.
I walked into Regions feeling nervous and walked out feeling incredibly grateful.Mareim is one of those rare people who reminds you how much kindness matters. As a Christian myself, I especially appreciated meeting such a kind and compassionate Christian lady.
My husband will now be opening an account with Regions as well and transferring his direct deposit. Regions currently has some very attractive incentives for opening an account and setting up direct deposit, which is certainly a nice bonus—but that is NOT why we are recommending them.
The service is.
When someone treats you with dignity, patience and genuine kindness when you’re already feeling vulnerable, you remember it.
Thank you, Mareim Toma. You are an absolute blessing, and Regions Bank is very fortunate to have you.
Wow this bank is trash
Wow this bank is trash. I’ve had the same problems with my money disappeared from my account as some fee. The terms and conditions are meant to screw the customer.

Frustrating and Wasting My Time
I have had an extremely frustrating experience with Regions Bank regarding lender-placed flood insurance on my mortgage.
My original lender closed my loan with a flood determination showing my property in Zone X with no federal flood insurance requirement. After the loan was transferred to Regions, Regions obtained a different determination, classified the property as Zone A, and placed a flood insurance policy on my loan costing approximately **$3,771 per year**, significantly increasing my monthly mortgage payment.
I repeatedly contacted Regions, provided the original flood determination, and then spent additional time obtaining FEMA and builder documentation showing that the flood information being relied upon required further review. Instead of Regions resolving the discrepancy directly, I spent weeks chasing documents and repeatedly following up.
Eventually, Regions told me in writing that the lender-placed insurance had been **canceled effective August 20, 2026**. Despite that, the policy is still showing as active and the matter is still not resolved.
At this point, I feel like I am being given the runaround. I keep receiving partial answers and having to follow up again on an issue I was already told had been corrected.
Mistakes can happen. My issue is how poorly this has been handled. This has affected my mortgage payment, my escrow account, and required a significant amount of unnecessary time and effort on my part.
I would strongly encourage anyone whose mortgage is serviced by Regions to carefully review lender-placed insurance charges and flood determinations rather than assuming they are correct.
I recommend people to contract monkey pox before....
I recommend people to contract monkey pox before banking with Regions. Customer service is abysmal. You will spend at least two hours to resolve a simple issue and even then it is highly likely it will not be resolved.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Deposits slow to be credited to account. Incompetent, callous agents that provide nothing more than generic responses to genuine concerns.
I have had to use the dispute process several times and each time it has become a bigger hassle, adding further frustration and inconvenience to an already stressful situation. They will take DAYS to reach a decision and return your money, if at all, despite the fact that you have provided adequate evidence. All while continuing to charge you overdraft fees.
Like others have said, Regions offers NO provisional credit to your account while the investigation is ongoing. Most other banks do.
Can we still call it a joke if no one laughs?
Im done with this bank as soon as I can bring my account balance to zero.
10/10 would NOT recommend this financial institution.
They are always getting something…
They are always getting something wrong. It’s ridiculous, I cashed a check from one of my business and told the teller to deposit it into my other business account. She put it back into the same account I cashed it from. Now I don’t have access to that money at night when I needed to pay a large business expense before midnight.
"YOU WILL REGRET IT I YOU CHOOSE THIS BANK!
Stay the h*ll away from this greedy, money hungry, conning, scamming, broke, I needed the money, low down, good for nothing 'Thieves! so called Regions bank. Did you know they like to steal from the disabled too. They will overdraft every penny out of your account, will hold your checks, hinder your account so that fees and charges apply then refuse to give you your money back. You have so many problems with this bank Regions gives you a headache that will hurt your head. An entire chat will turn into a migraine headache because they will intentionally p*ss and irritate the h*ll out of you to the point you call them every name but their birth name. They are the laziest bank in Memphis, Tennessee and I hate them. My other account says it would be deposited 3 days from the issued refund. I woke up early to check the account and saw it was still in the negative $332 and contacted CS and they told me it will deposit tomorrow in the morning next day. The reason it would be available that day was because they would keep me in the negative by putting me past the end of grace period to receive an over draft fee charge from me. They prey on the accounts of their customers to make money off of them. They done the same to the disabled who use the overdraft service. 1 minute later you are charged $36 plus each transaction you make in a negative is $36 each over draft charge which they took $106 and $75 from me. This happened to me 3 or 4 times. I knew how the refund process works and it shouldn't have taken this long if it was charged and then canceled right after. They all cheat, lie and steal then have the nerve to talk to you like you never matter, treat you like you are a nobody and nothing you do and will say effects them because as long as they get your money you can say whatever because it's not going to change the fact that they already robbed you of it. The supervisors are way pathetic, stubborn, prideful and stiff neck. They are highway robbery and should be investigated again so these people they robbed get all the money that was due back to them. Find you a better bank cause these leeches regions ain't the bank you want to leave your money at or you will loose money and come short. Pay attention to your transactions as well cause they will dip in it. I hate this money sucking account draining SSA bank and wish they get shut down real quick. May the Lord brake their banks and see how the shoe fits
Not a good bank
Not a good bank. Spam on the promotion. Sistem always have a issue when you call by phone .
$20,000 gone, & a couple of billion dollars or better.
$20,000 gone. Also Craig C Stephens Regions bank or Estate, Trust etc. Please do not trust Craig C Stephens, my fiance Jennifer Lynette Lange Wright 04/30/1985 has a Trustfund, Rental properties, Business rentals, Sandifer L.P. Butane Gas that Mr & Mrs Sandifer started up in Mississippi. It states nothing is to be sold. Craig illegally sold everything and it states in Jennifer's Trustfund documents filed at the Pearl Mississippi court house and all of the addresses Pearl & Jackson Mississippi that nothing is to be sold. Also Celvin Bass, & deceased father Luther Celvin Bass are involved along with others, Also James Edward's opened up a account at Regions to steal and embezzle Jennifer's Trustfund money and so did Alice Crouchet Murphy Mississippi. None of these people are related. Jennifer gave me Power of Attorney and basically gave me Jamie Hardin 769-456-4568 everything. She knows I am a honest guy. Also I believe that Frank J Strain, Brayden Morgan Killough, Jessica Marie Lange Aka Jessica Vance is involved with these people because Jessica keeps telling Jennifer that nothing is left in her Trustfund. Its time to start a investigation and everyone involved gets arrested and Regions bank gets sued for this.
Have been with Regions for more than 25…
Have been with Regions for more than 25 years. Two days ago without notice my account was but on hold and locked. I have just over $6,000 in the account I can’t get. House payment is due today. After two days still nobody can tell me why the account is on hold. I have three other Regions accounts but they are fine but I can’t move money between them. I’m done with Regions as soon as I can get my money out.
Comin back to this bank is the worst…
Comin back to this bank is the worst decision I’ve ever made. Over charge on the overdraft fees. That I can’t afford to pay is crazy
**DO NOT BANK WITH REGIONS**
**DO NOT BANK WITH REGIONS**
**Highlights:**
* 20-year Regions customer now closing accounts because of this experience.
* Four unnecessary branch visits.
* Told to obtain a new Social Security card for no reason.
* Multiple voicemails ignored by both banker and branch manager.
* Three months without resolution over a $32 issue.
* Shay at the Fayetteville branch was the only positive experience.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after more than three months of trying to resolve a simple issue with Regions, I feel other customers should know what to expect.
I have been a loyal Regions customer for approximately 20 years. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion of the company and has led me to close my accounts and move my banking elsewhere.
My issue began in April when I visited the branch to understand why my secured Regions credit card had not graduated to an unsecured card after four years of perfect payment history and responsible credit utilization. I also wanted help reviewing two unexplained charges totaling $32.
I was told the credit card issue was handled by a separate department, which I understood, but Vasuthara assured me she could help with the $32 refund.
Instead, the process became focused on my account displaying only part of my legal name, even though the name on my account was fully contained within my legal name on my ID. I was told I needed to obtain a new Social Security card before anything could move forward.
After four branch visits and obtaining a replacement Social Security card because I was told it was necessary, I learned this was completely unnecessary. On my fourth visit, Shay assisted me and immediately explained that the steps I had taken were not needed. She was professional, honest, and the only employee who genuinely tried to help.
Shay attempted to get the refund resolved by emailing Vasuthara twice, but neither of us ever received a response. I then called the Peachtree City branch multiple times, leaving messages for Vasuthara with no response.
I eventually left a message for the branch manager. After three days without hearing back, I called again and spoke with him directly. He took my information and told me he would call me back in five minutes. After 30 minutes with no call, I called the branch again and was placed on hold for 12 minutes before being told he was assisting another customer.
I understand customers in the branch need attention, but after four visits, multiple unanswered messages, and more than three months waiting, I expected basic communication and follow-through.
This review is not about $32. It is about the complete lack of ownership, accountability, and customer service. A simple phone call or someone taking responsibility for the issue would have prevented this.
After 20 years of loyalty, it is extremely disappointing that Regions allowed a customer relationship to end this way. I hope Regions improves its communication and accountability because no long-term customer should have to work this hard to get help.
I see I'm not the only one with…
I see I'm not the only one with complaints. what a horrible rating. I brought my $11,300 check to deposit from Ken Burke tax collector for Pinellas county FL and they wanted to put a 10-day hold on it. I asked them if they didn't trust Ken Burke or if they didn't trust the county or if they didn't trust the Wells Fargo check it was written on. regardless they said there was going to be a 10-day hold. So I took the check to Wells Fargo, yes I have accounts at Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Regions, Chase because they all try to screw you over so I take it to whoever's going to cooperate with me. in this case, Wells Fargo only put a one-day hold on it! And regions told me it was going to be a 10-day hold! I'm definitely not an advocate for Wells Fargo or Bank of America or any of those big banks. I'm learning the online banks like Sofi and Chime are much much better for several different reasons
I called the Regions Bank phone number…
I called the Regions Bank phone number for online banking help. The woman who answered sent an email with a code that I had to give back to her. Okay with the code, then she asked for our banking account, which I gave her, and she said it was correct. She said What was I calling about. I said i wanted to know why a bill payment, which was always paid within 2 days, now has changed to 5 days which made my payment late. She came back w ith i can't give you that information as you are not in the profile of the bank. She said that my husband had to call. He said i am right here as we had her on speaker. She said he would have to call back. I spent 45 minutes to get through to her. She refused to help. I asked her why i should continue to do bussines with Regions if I can not get customer help. She said if you want to change banks that is your choice. I was appaled at her answer. I worked in customer service for 30 years if i had told a customer that I would have been fired on the spot. If you have no customers you have no business. I then continued to email a branch manager who said the same thing. REGIONS HAS NO IDEA WHAT CUSTOMERS SERVICE MEANS. my husband does not want to go through the hassell of have SS change to another bank. I am slowly changed all things from Regions and just tranferring all income to another bank. and just using Regions as a transfer station for our money. As soon as our SS checks are deposited I transfer it to another bank. Regions Bank is subpar, inadequate, and shoddy is it best quailty. BUT all is in vain as they have no scrupples or idea of what customer service means
