I had self managed my property for many years but unfortunately decided to rent the house to a couple who became quite difficult to manage.
Red Brick took over the management of the house and it was a nice relief as they got things back on an even keel.
Would highly recommend them particularly with the renters reform act coming along, as they know their stuff !

The property management was very poor.
I lived in a redbrick managed property for a year, and experienced poor response times and delayed construction, some of which never got completed. On one occasion I was locked out of my house for two days, and experienced a lack of understanding and stand offish communication from the staff.
In my period of tenancy I never once heard from our landlord who eventually decided to sell the property, with the construction work partially being completed but only when they’d decided to sell. This also explained why it was made difficult for us to sign a fixed tenancy agreement, as the property management clearly knew that the landlord was considering selling the property, but failed to be transparent, so that I had the minimum amount of time to make other living arrangements.
I lived with black mould and severe damp on my walls for 15 months despite numerous attempts to raise the issue and get it sorted. Instead I was patronised and made to feel as though it was my fault it was damp in a property that is well over 100 years old.
I will not be recommending Red Brick Properties to anyone I will in fact be doing quite the opposite and publicly advocating that people avoid the company, both landlords and tenants alike.
Wow! That was an amazing experience with the Red Brick team. We are landlords and they have really looked after us every step of the way to get some new tenants in before Christmas. Thank you to everyone and Merry Christmas! Here's to an amazing 2025.
I am a tenant for this agency. If you are planning to rent from this agency then have a second thought. If you think you will be alright renting from them without the need to contact them back for any maintenance issues then you are most welcomed to rent from them. Else, do not rent from Redbrick. I completely agree that all their properties are low priced. The reason may be because the other agencies did not want to manage these filthy properties. They say that there is an emergency contact number for out of hours urgent situation issues. But unfortunately, if you call this number and leave a message then they will only respond you to the next working day. My boiler was experiencing some issues since a long time and I had reported this to the agency well in advance. They did arrange a contractor visit but the contractor could not identify the issue. Whenever I opened the hot water tap the boiler used to trip and finally during the Storm Darragh, it ceased working completely on Saturday afternoon. When I reported this to the agency using their emergency maintenance contact number, neither did they acknowledge the issue nor did they reply to my follow-up email on their own. I had to spend 2 nights without heating and hot water in this cold weather of December and its still continuing. I had to connect to the contractor on myself and request for a home visit which was not before a working day. Moreover on Monday morning when I wanted to discuss this issue with the office they had closed ears to the issue and said on my face, "NOTHING MUCH THAT THE AGENCY CAN DO AND I NEED TO MAKE MY OWN ARRANGEMENTS AS I LIVE IN THIS PROPERTY."
Being ignorant is one thing and being inhumane is another. I would rather classify Redbrick as inhuman as they had closed ears to my issues when I was and still I am struggling with no heating in the house with a newborn and an unwell wife.
I have travelled the world and rented across. But never have I ever has such a bitter experience in terms of renting.
BE CAREFUL BEFORE RENTING FROM THEM.
Do not go anywhere near these estate agents if you are a tenant. Most of the positive reviews they have here are from landlords, not tenants. They treat tenants in an absolutely disgusting way, which gives landlords and them more money. We had a kitchen that literally had pieces falling off of it that they refused to repair "because the landlord couldn't afford it" (even though he owns multiple houses worth around £1m each). We had black mould in almost every room that would just keep coming back due to lack of insulation. We had a garage that flooded every time it rained. An annex that made anything put in it mouldy within a few days. They told us they wouldn't put the rent up and then when it was too late for us to move, put the rent up. It was by far the worst letting experience I've ever had and I'm glad to be out of there.
When you are paying thousands of pounds for a company to provide a service and to have the expertise that they say the do, you expect them to do the job which they are knowledgeable in. Unfortunately this was not the case.
This company has lied to us from day one, they have failed to do a service and keep important information which should have been documented, which in the end has lost us a substantial amount of money which we should of received.
They say moving house is one of the most stressful things to do, this company added more stress in the final 5 days before exchanging contracts, which was not necessary if they had supported us, their clients that were paying them for a service.
This company over promises and under delivers.
Not once did we feel that they were on our side and wanted what was best for ourselves.
Even now as we are still going through the complaints procedure, they still fail to deliver what they promise.
We are now seeking legal support and taking the complaint to the ombudsman.
Our experience with this company didn’t even deserve 1 star.

Do not rent from this company! The rental manager Kat is a heartless piece of work and only has the landlords best interests, she does not view tenants as people but profit.
No co2 alarms in the home, poor conditions that are dangerous left un managed with excuses time and time again. There is no coordination and you are expected to ring workmen yourself and then blamed if you do not manage to get through to them quickly. The whole point of renting an estate agent managed home is to be able to continue with your everyday busy life, whilst repairs etc are booked when needed. Bear in mind this is around 6 months of waiting for the work to be Ok’d
Kat is rude, unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with, she will shout on the phone if she is questioned. The one star is for the other staff who do try to help.
They do not have copies of tenancy agreement and do not even know what type of tenancy or the dates on the tenancy agreement and will try push rental increases more than once a year using this as an excuse. When questioned about this, they use the excuse that they brought out another estate agent and they did not transfer all the documents. Buy a company, the company problems become your own!! Not your tenants problem, it is yours

Moved in to one of there houses 4 years ago.
Had to fight to get the outside toilet fixed as the ceiling was falling down. Took a year.
Also the floor they put down in the kitchen was ripped by their builder and they knew this. And they’ve basically lied to the dps and said they did not and blamed us.
There kitchen was falling apart. Always took about 3 months to fix draws that came from there office.
Staff are rude.
Unhelpful constantly putting the rent up went from £650-£775 greed and would not do no repairs
I would never use these people again. And also before we took the house the landlord came to look at the house we previously was renting. Cause my landlord was in Spain. Rude. Also funny how we got our bond back when we left and rented there home. This company is full of lies. Based on lies
And honestly if you want more info I’m happy to give it. Cooker broke we was told to fix it ourselfs. The kitchen was damp my kid got sick. Wasent there problem they said. Smoke alarm was not replaced had to do it ourselfs. And the builder said we did not need a co 2 metre in the boiler bedroom when we knew the rules. Also we painted and decorated the house they wrecked it wen we left and blamed us. Do not use this company stay well away. We are so glad we have left. And finally got our own home where they now cannot be greedy. Always got their rent always even on covid when we was furloughed we went with out to please them. Never again thank god ! 0⭐️

I viewed and offered on a house and my offer accepted.
I was asked to pay £595 to tie me into the sale and act as a mutual agreement for me not to back out etc.
Two weeks and two days later I was refunded my money and told that the Sellers had a better offer.
What is the point of paying for and signing agreement if Redbrick don’t stay true to it. I wonder if I had changed my mind to purchase whether I would of been able to get my money back. It’s one way thing with these people. Be warned …

Worst lettings agency I've ever had to deal with in my life. They let 6 out of 7 people move into the property without giving them keys at all. I handed my 2 MONTHS NOTICE (READ CONTRACT CAREFULLY IF YOU'RE BRAVE ENOUGH TO MOVE IN) as they tried increasing my rent by £100. After I left I had the room properly cleaned, they returned my deposit and took £150 from it for 'not being clean'. PS when I moved in I had to also hire a pro cleaner as it was filth. Good luck getting any help from the agency after you move in, you won't hear from them. Took them 3-4 months to sort out a WIFI booster box if longer which cost £30. I would avoid this agent like hell.
If you can avoid renting though this company I would advise you to do so. Staff are unhelpful when applying, the 3rd party company used for tenant checks is awful and intrusive, they are inflexible when moving into the property, and rude when conversing over email. An unpleasant experience all around and I will avoid them like the plague when looking for a new flat in the future.
