Very convenient service to dispose of items instead of them going into landfill.

Great service enabling us to reduce our landfill and get more household waste recycled. Feels good to be able to do a bit more for our environment.

Amazing service. We hate throwing things away to only end up in landfill. But many things around the home don’t have an obvious second life. ReSmart is a fantastic service that endeavors to give everything a second life. For a small cost we sent many hard to recycle items to ReSmart. The service is great - if you’re unsure take photos and the ReSmart people let you know very quickly whether they will take your stuff. So far they have never said no. Service is prompt, efficient and cost effective. 5 ⭐️ all around.

I love ReSmart! The monthly pick up makes it so easy to collect all those tricky-to-recycle items that you don’t want going to landfill, then pop them at the front door once a month before work, knowing you are “doing the right thing”. By the time you get home the doorstep is clean and you have peace of mind that you haven’t contributed to the huge issue of waste. It makes it easy to do what is best for the planet. Thank you ReSmart.

Very easy to book a pickup and so convenient

This service is so useful and easy. Well worth the small fee for each bag as we fit heaps of soft plastics and other items that our council does not collect.

I used ReSmart’s postal service to work toward QANTAS Green Tier and was extremely disappointed.

I learned that the service is expensive compared to other providers, and the postal kit arrived with no instructions - literally just a pack of AUSPost satchels, not even self addressed or with any guidance on what or where to send items.

More concerning was the change to the Green Tier requirement from 3 returns to 5. Despite multiple emails, ReSmart would not honor the original terms I signed up for. They have also not updated QANTAS about the change, despite being aware of the issue for over a month. (As of now QANTAS still shows the same terms as when I signed up!) Even though ReSmart confirmed receiving my items, they refused to backdate my returns to count toward the revised target, meaning I would need to spend an additional $150 due to their rule change.

QANTAS has indicated they are aware of similar complaints and are reviewing the situation.

If you’re pursuing Green Tier, I recommend exploring alternative ways to achieve it rather than relying on this service. Separately, if you’re simply looking to recycle those hard to recycle items (such as soft plastics) responsibly, I have since discovered that there are other providers in Tasmania (and other states) - offering similar services at a much lower cost, and in some cases even free!

Thank you for your response. Like many of your other 1-star review replies, this one sticks to the same standard theme
- acknowledging “communication issues” while avoiding the real fairness issue.

At the time I signed up and paid, the publicly available information (including on Qantas Green Tier page) indicated three returns were required. I relied on that when making my purchase. If the requirement was always five, then customers were clearly misinformed. If it changed, then customers who signed up under the earlier terms have been disadvantaged.

Either way, asking customers to spend additional money due to unclear or inconsistent program information is not reasonable. I acted in good faith based on what was published at the time.

I remain extremely disappointed with how this has been handled and hope Qantas reconsiders this partnership, choosing a provider that better reflects the standards Qantas customers expect.

Good service but a shame there doesn't appear a way that ReSmart can be contacted directly.

What an amazing service! It is so convenient to be able to get hard to recycle items picked up from my house and know that they will be recycled or repurposed and not end up in landfill. Lots of regular communication regarding the process and what can be collected.

The pickup service is very reliable and the prompts,both email and text, for upcoming collections in great. I used the AI to identify objects to see whether they were recyclable and found it helpful

This pick up is really convenient and fits so well with my philosophy of recycling. Great service.

It's great to be able to include many items that I wouldn't know what to do with (to recycle) as well as soft plastics. The service is efficient and the driver polite. As an avid recycler, I'm grateful for the ReSmart service.

I'm highly impressed again by this service. My 'difficult to recycle' items were all collected and are on their way to be responsibly given a second life.

Just had my first collection with RecycleSmart and I was really happy with how it went. Although most (but not all) of the items I recycled could have been recycled elsewhere for free, I am prepared to pay $15 for the convenience of having a one-stop-shop for recycling. No more looking up where to take various niche items or having a growing hoard of different recyclables waiting for the opportunity to drop them off at the various different places they have to go to. It also saves so much time in looking up what to do with things - if it's dry, not organic, and not dangerous, they'll take it. It also seems really flexible, if you need to change your collection date etc. Love it!

So easy to have the doorstep pick up and to know all the things that are hard to recycle will get processed. Super easy app. Great value.
