Ignored a recent email of mine.
This regarded an extremely serious incident of the police forcing entry to my flat. I don't think I should be billed, but Rapid Secure have made sure I have. The incident regarded suicide ideation.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. The police called this company, following a burglary at our home. Why the police use such a company is beyond me but we are taking that up with the police. I have received an extortionate bill from them now and are very rude on the phone when you try and question. They are not members of the master locksmith association and quite frankly should be ashamed of themselves ripping people off especially after such a traumatic time of being burgled. Despicable company.

Thoroughly unpleasant to try and deal with. We bought a house last year and there were numerous letters to the previous owner which we marked as return to sender but kept a note of the return addresses on the outside of the envelopes. Letters from Rapid Secure to "Owner/occupier" suggesting we were responsible for the debt from 2023 with a court fee figure that seemed far higher than I could verify online. For small claims up to £300, I could only find a £35 fee applicable, not £110.

We tried calling Rapid Secure to explain we had bought the house and found they didn't really care. While we appreciate Rapid Secure would understandably want to recover this debt, trying to intimidate new homeowners who are not responsible for the debt is also wholly inappropriate.

Rapid Secure also tried to to say it was a police requirement to take my name in a further phone call to let them know when land registry would be updated. I phoned the local police to check and they advised given the nature of the letters and threat of court action, that I should not give my name to Rapid Secure and they would look into how this was being handled. Following my call to the police, we have received no further letters from Rapid Secure.

I can unfortunately see how their manner of doing business might scare people with less knowledge about how court action works into paying a debt that is not theirs but perhaps Rapid Secure is happy for this to happen.

I own an HMO where the police forced entry to the property while looking for a former tenant who no longer lived there. Following the forced entry, the police instructed this company to "secure" the front door.

Their solution was to attach a padlock to the front door and leave just two keys for five tenants. This created a serious safety concern, as it significantly restricted the tenants' ability to enter and leave the property.

I was only informed after the work had been completed. As a result, I had to arrange and pay for a locksmith to remove the padlock, repair the lock, and restore the door to a safe and usable condition.

At no point did I instruct this company, authorise any work, or enter into any contract with them.

Six months later, I received an invoice for £252 for simply attaching a padlock. I have now received a letter threatening court action for non-payment.

I dispute that I owe this company anything and will be defending any claim they bring. My solicitor will be responding, and I will also be considering my own legal claim arising from this matter.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Came within an hour and did an excellent job of securing the premises.

The service I received was very very professional, It was unfortunate that the nice gentleman had to come out to my property in the early hours of the morning but he was so nice and nothing was too much trouble, I would whole heartedly recommend rapid secure limited to anyone, you won’t be disappointed.

We arrived home from holiday to find we had been broken into and our house was insecure. The Police arranged for Rapid Secure to attend our home and, even though this was late afternoon on a Sunday, the Technician arrived in a timely manner.
I was a little concerned that the patio door would just be screwed shut and a basic board up would be completed, but the Technician assured me he would de-glaze the door by removing the beading and secure the property properly without any further damage being caused. He did this perfectly and we felt instantly safer once the work was complete.

I have received a bill 2 years and 6 months after apparamtly they came out to secure my property after a welfare check which is completely false and they want me to pay 216 pound. This is the first letter they have sent after 2 and a half years after the supposedly job was done

I used this company to board up an outside door which had been smashed.
Despite the time, after midnight, the fitter arrived promtly. He checked the damage, measured up and fitted the board. He chatted which I appreciated.
Could I suggest in these circumstances, that removable over shoes would help avoid distribution of broken glass to other rooms. Otherwise I was very satisfied with the service.

I arrived home on the 24th December 2019, at roughly 4 pm, to a boarded up front downstairs window.

Upon ringing the police, shortly after my arrival home, to this scene, on Christmas Eve, an officer arrived within an hour.

He wasn't at the scene, the previous night 23rd December (Date of Incident), and only had brief information to pass on. The incident apparently occurred circa 9/10 pm.

Low and behold, I received a letter today (Sat4th Jan) dated 31st December, from Rapid Secure, stating I have 14 days to Pay £294, with a £12.25 discount, if I pay within 7 days.

As others have mentioned, the materials can be purchased from B&Q from around £10. A beam of wood, cut in half, a wooden board and six long screws.

Apparently the Call out service claiming available 24 hrs 365 days a year (Don't answer the phone on Saturdays) which is broken down as one of the fees.

So after subtracting the cost of materials circa £10, I'm requested to Pay around £284, for someone to drive around the corner and wedge two beams of wood in my window frame, then screw in a board on the outside side, where anybody can easily use a Philips screwdriver from the outside, to remove them again!

This is news to me, as the cost of Labour per hour, doesn't add up to any joiner I have ever hired!

Why should anyone be made to feel like they're the ones who've committed a crime when a crime has been committed to them.

Action needs taking against this exploitative company, cashing in on people's misfortune.

And even more disgusting, how our very own security forces are associated with them after we pay our hard-earned Taxes for their service.

I wish I could remember the locksmiths name because he was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend and use this service again

Rapid Secure attended my property within 20 minutes of receiving the call out and made it secure.

The appointment was arranged by the police after a burglary.
The fitter turned up within an hour and took 10 minutes to complete the repair to my door
