Excellent

Excellent! Izuchukwu Okongwu arrived on time. He phoned and gave me his ETA before he arrived. He was very efficient, friendly and so helpful. I was trying to help him load things but he had it done in no time. He arrived at his destination, 100 miles away, in excellent time and quickly got the van unloaded and boxes stored in the garage. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Happy and satisfied with my experience

Happy and satisfied with my experience. The driver was excellent and the head office was quick in sorting out the communication issue with the 1st irresponsive driver confirming my move with a first tier supplier.

Excellent punctuality

Excellent punctuality. Driver worked very hard loading and unloading. Very easy to book online with immediate communications with driver contact number. Would recommend. Worth the money for helping ease stress of moving day.

Easy and excellent.

Driver was helpful and hardworking, treated my belongings with care and respect.
The company website is very easy to navigate and get exactly what you need. The prices are very reasonable and the service was outstanding.

Unprofessional behaviour from a support…

Unprofessional behaviour from a support office manager. Instead of clearly explaining the situation, the communication was rude and inappropriate, and the issue was escalated unnecessarily. It also gives the impression of an abuse of position — behaviour typical of problematic staff who misuse authority when they have it. People with this approach should not be working in customer support, as it undermines trust in the platform.

I consider it necessary to warn potential partners and customers. The dispute arose over £10. If management resorts to public personal remarks and an aggressive tone over such a sum, it raises a legitimate question as to what the reaction would be in a dispute involving £11 or more.
Such behaviour indicates an inability on the company’s part to take responsibility and resolve issues in a professional and mature manner, which raises serious concerns about its standards of engagement.

That is why we blocked your account and you are not welcomed to our platform - we provide our customers with quality drivers - you are not one of them. You are not a customer - make a difference - you are just a wannabe driver, that got frustrated because he must respect customers and rules.

Paid for Moving Help, Ended Up Carrying Everything Ourselves

I booked a move with Quick Man and Van and the experience started with their driver, Craig, simply refusing to show up at the agreed time because he decided the job was not worth enough money for him. That left us stranded at the property with a strict time window and no help to move heavy furniture. We had specifically paid for loading assistance from 14:00, and instead we were forced to carry everything down three flights of stairs ourselves under pressure.

To their credit, they eventually sent a replacement driver who arrived around 3:20 and was helpful, but by that point the damage was done. The whole reason for booking a timed service with help was to avoid exactly this situation. Because their original driver did not turn up, we lost the service we paid for at the most critical part of the move.

What is most frustrating is the response from the company afterwards. They acknowledged that the driver refused the job and said they removed him from their platform, yet still refused any partial refund. Their position is that because a van eventually arrived and the transport was completed, they consider the booking fulfilled. That completely ignores the fact that we paid for manpower at a specific time and had to do that work ourselves.

The communication also required chasing, and the final outcome was a polite but firm refusal to take any responsibility beyond an apology. From a customer perspective, paying for a timed, assisted move and then having to haul furniture down multiple flights of stairs because their driver chose not to come is not an acceptable level of service.

I would not book with them again. Reliability at the agreed time is the whole point of using a moving service, and when that fails, a technical reading of the terms and conditions is not a fair solution.

This is simply a scam

This is simply a scam. I booked their service in advance, but the hour before the scheduled time, they told me it was cancelled. Now after more than one mouth, they have not sent me and refund.

Good experience

The driver turned up on time and was very patient and courteous. He helped out even though my sons were loading and unloading the van.

There was a change from original…

There was a change from original specific driver to one with zero reviews to his name. I initially made a pre full online payment of £390.48 for what I thought was a fairly local regionalised Bristol based driver for a 4 hour job + additional support to transfer my belongings into a local storage facility nearby as an emergency situation tactic measure having been served an eviction notice for the 18th December 2025.

Unfortunately, for me due to not having access to phone device apps I was denied pin access & any means of entry access to the storage facility resource completely.

I was then subjected to feel intimidated & threatening behaviour to give in to the driver’s demanding threatening persistence intimidation tactic of a further cash payment from a local cash machine of *GBP£250.00 early am on the 19th December 2025 on top of the sum of what was already prepaid(intimidating threats include putting out my personal belongings on the street). * that £250.00 could have made a difference to the somewhat quality of life for myself this Christmas💯The tragically profoundly broken sad Narcissistic Supply female victim of covert emotional NPD trauma abusers - I was thinking treating myself to a Christmas Eve Carol service at Winchester via the train yet I don’t think I have that window of opportunity option is open now with the spiralling costs of public transportation especially rail & overnight accommodation(budget limitation). I was also subjected to agree to give him an extra £150.00(money I don’t have) on the 2nd January 2026.

I was in such a frantic day to pack that I made allowance for what I thought was initially a kind hearted gesture of goodwill to help me pack very haphazardly & load the van I was completely aware of personal sentimental items had magically made a disappearing act within the residence address of 13 years(Anne Osbourne’s lovely book etc. )subsequently, whilst checking the unit I noticed I couldn’t access, see or find numerous items that I own ie the full moon salt lamp from the holistic shop was purchased pre pre pandemic times was a good buy & in good working order unlike the Lidl purchase salt lamp purchased years later(not the bulb) & speaking of the Lidl salt lamp I specifically didn’t want to bring this with me but found it there nevertheless. I need to go back soon to try to local the missing items which does include fairly traded silver
moonstone jewellery, favourite corduroy blouse etc. I’m the sort of female individual that retains info & that includes what I personally own & thus know what I have(mainly sentimental stuff) & I’m due a visit to UK storage to see if I can check again but thoroughly.

If that’s not exploitation of a vulnerable mature female I don’t know what is? I honestly feel I have been scammed yet again - as a old school female of a certain again that was born in the English capital city I honestly feel England is a place & country that attracts the crooked deceitful individual 💯

I’m also really concerned now for my safety & security of belongings as he had access to my personal storage facility codes before I did & for a longtime & who's to say he didn’t specifically record that information for nefarious reasons & in revenge for myself having the courage to write this very authentically honest & open review?

I had sensed great anger & resentment in the driver’s native mother tongue language in the additional support guy’s native voice(far from happy) which increased my level of vulnerability & dissatisfaction not to mention uncomfortable at the thought of being scammed and taken advantage of yet again 💯😳

The fact I was led to believe it was a Bristol based service(always like to support local service business people where possible) & all the being subjected to intimidating harassment further payments makes me believe is is a far removed from transparently good service business makes me suspicious of the plethora of ubiquitous service businesses designed to attract business via exploitative channels & including society’s most vulnerable. It now has made me aware of thinking twice & thrice prior to booking a service online 💯

I don’t think I have any hesitation of avoiding the likes of Quick man & a van, once bitten twice shy(even this specific trademark name sounds suspicious, they probably will change the traded name now I’ve mentioned yet this specific experience has put myself off booking hired unknown business of the service for life - far too many dodgy nefarious individuals out there in all different disguised positions in all crossed sections of society with some of the biggest crooks in powerful governance).
