What a rip-off. I signed up for and PAID FOR this course in proofreading. I never got any course material, just endless solicitations to sign up for MORE COURSES. ?????
I WANT MY.MONEY BACK.
I emailed several times, asking for assistance and where to find the course material. NO RESPONSE.NADA.
GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK NOW.

Good company. I leaned a lot about proofreading and how important it is to have that final set of eyes go over every written work. I would take this class again.

Very useful instruction to prep you on proofreading. A great review for English grammar, structure, and punctuation. The practice essays were very helpful. I would love to see a quick reference of the CMOS that would help with referencing that huge book!

I found this course (general proofreading theory) very helpful. It's amazing what we forget over time. I loved that there were a lot of practice essays to put the lessons to work and that there is an exam at the end because then you really know if you're ready. Lots of great information that was laid out well.

The course itself is very good, with useful tools and valuable quizzes. However, you send too many redundant emails; they are annoying.

Great program; the only downside is they send WAY too many emails. It’s overwhelming and needs to be cut back.

My money was worth investing in this course. What I liked most was getting prompt responses whenever I needed. Also, the General Proofreading Facebook group is excellent source of information. As a new professional, I couldn’t think of a better place to have my questions answered. I want to highlight specially the contribution of Polly Cecce Costigan the expert contributor . Thanks!

I paid about 1000.00 to take a course that mostly went through the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) when I could have done so on my own. There was a great deal of work presented on setting up a business and related activities that was superficial, at best. There was no substantial support in the course and when I asked for clarification, a response was slow in coming and not very helpful. I also did not appreciate one response on what we were encouraged to use (the 17th edition of the CMOS) even though there is an 18th edition: it would be too much work to revise the present course (paraphrasing so as to not out one particular person). The course delivery was sub-par as the presenter in each module was either reading verbatim from the provided transcript or presented so quickly that I could sense their lack of interest. In addition, a person stressed that the regulations for the APA style is not much different that the CMOS; they are. The final assignment had a mastery of 90% which is extremely high. The explanation given was that university courses have similar requirements; they do not outside of some medical and law schools. In summary, the course would be useful for someone who is recently retired or a bored stay-at-home parent. It is unlikely that a person could make a living after this course was completed; pocket change, maybe.

Because of Proofread Anywhere, I found out that proofreading was fun. There’s an old saying “If your work is fun, it isn’t work.” Learning to do proofreading was enjoyable for me, even though hard at times. I highly recommend this course for anyone who likes language and is detailed oriented enough to find the mistakes and correct them. I just completed the course, so I don’t know yet if proofreading will be profitable for me. But it sure has been fun to learn.

Good review of my English classes and what has changed over the years. I knew some words were correct with single L's and double L's but never knew that the difference comes from American English versus British English. Enlightening!!!

It was good. I feel that some of the material is outdated. For instance, the list of headhunters is out of date. I've only been through about 6 of them and half of them are gone. I feel that the contract issue should be more integrated into the program, not just separate. But overall, I thought it was good.

I loved that I could access the course whenever and move at my own pace. The instructions were clear and the information useful

At first I loved the comprehensive course, and was self-motivated to go through all of the learning that I even set a time for me to work through the course... but then, there was a pause in my learning because I had completed the first segment and had to wait until someone at the company opened the next segment of lessons up to me... which really hurt my drive.
Also, one of the biggest dislikes in this course are the large amounts of spam I get in my email. Most days are 3 per day, but I've gotten up to 8 (on Feb 15th) -- enough spam already!!
I do enjoy the learning and practice exams, just wish the insane amount of emails would stop!
I'm also stuck in 1 section, because I have to figure out how to upload all these apps in order to continue the course... and be able to proofread to make changes... Hoping to get back on it soon...

I just had to purchase PDF Expert to get you the 15 annotated versions at the last minute (having originally done them by hand) but you guys were very prompt in helping me through that. PDF Expert is good for me on my iMac desktop, because I don't/would't really use iAnnotate on a phone or tablet (I do have a small, HP Microsoft laptop, though). I would like to see about moving into a/the copy editor course(?) and I think I remember there was also a link to a preliminary discussion about Court/Legal Transcription services, as well.
Please advise on the above.

A comprehensive, challenging course was what I was looking for & that's what I got from Proofreading Anywhere. Now that I have some prior business almost completed, I'm looking forward to digging in & finishing it. I'm so glad I signed up!

This course is extremely thorough. It doesn't just teach you the basics of spelling, punctuation, and grammar. It also goes beyond the basics to help you set up your business right and find clients! I would highly recommend this course to anyone even thinking about proofreading as a side hustle or a full-time career.

Although I have experience in a courtroom environment, I have not been involved in transcript production. However, I do create and edit training documents, so I thought this would be a good fit for my current skillsets. Turns out I was correct, but the path was more enlightening than expected.
The program was logically organized, clearly presented and very suitable for gaining knowledge and experience. The combination of lessons and practical application in the 50 practice resumes/answer worksheets was invaluable at pointing out my flawed assumptions and areas for further study. It also demonstrated how much I didn't know about what I didn't know. I would encourage anyone considering this type of work to consider this program.

I am just getting started with Proofread Anywhere and this company truly wants you to succeed. They give you everything you need to make this endeavor a success.

I've tried other video's, classes and apps promising the same things, "it's the best program out there". Then I saw the price!!! That's a lot of money for something I've been promised many times and received nothing but endless emails to unsubscribe to and large amounts of spam calls starting almost immediately.

The thing that snapped me back to reality was not being able to view the video without paying first?? The biggest deal breaker were the reviews. All 5 star are people still learning and taking classes, none from anyone with a success story!? All 1 or 2 star reviews from are from people that have completed the classes and a year later have 1 client!

If your program is so good then why offer a half price discount? No successful business is going to give a 50 percent discount for a program that is proven to work!?
