I received a different product than advertised. Plus, it seems broken. I have a problem. I just lost money and still have no tool to work with. I wrote to email info press-tools.co.uk asking what could be wrong. can it be repaired or replaced. no response for 3 days. I am currently trying to do a chargeback through my bank. moreover, when the package arrived, I had to pay extra money. a fee that was not taken into account before sending the goods. it was a customs fee but I wasn't informed about it.

We have already emailed you twoce about this subject and have no issue in trying to resolve.
I've resent the email via a different email address so maybe you have received it now.
Contact us and we have no problem in resolving but, the part you have is what you have ordered and is not defective but we do accept that the other type spring closed would be better for your use.
Furthermore, you have purchased a product from the UK which is no longer part of the EU. As such you would have to pay any duty in you country - we have no control over this.
You also did not tell us before ordering that you were not in the UK.
In any case, were happy to resolve.

Hi Mantas, Thanks for your review however i feel this is unjust.
From the photo's you have sent, the tools has clearly been used on standard copper plumbing pipe, even though the description for the tool you have purchased states that it IS NOT SUITABLE.
It should only be used on soft copper pipe commonly found in air conditioning and you have used it on hardened copper for plumbing.
I'm not sure how we or the tool should be blamed for this mistake.

I haven't used the tool yet, but it looks very well made. The price was very competitive. Also I was called by the company to check that I had selected the correct press fit tool to suit my needs. The tool arrived next day. Great service. Thanks

This is a good piece of equipment
This is a good piece of equipment, but Sorry to say this didn't work for us, we used it to crimp some compressed air pipes (7Bar) but one of the fitting blew off. We returned it for a full refund, which was sorted very quickly.

Thanks for your review.
Just wanted to let you know that the tool you returned was found to working 100% as it should be.
It has been tested on stainless Mapress fittings at 35mm, 42mm and 54mm several times each size and produced regular formed crimps each time.
Force out put pressure was tested at 32.4kn – just above where it should be and well within its tolerance and the same output force as the equivalent Novopress or Klauke, etc.
If the fitting ‘blew off’ or leaked – it’s almost definitely down to human error during installation.
Ie, not completing the crimp cycle or not being pressed at all.
The purchase has been refunded in full back to the payment card.
