It was a very delightful time and very informative
PrePass is great for keeping my drivers moving and not having to stop at weigh stations.
In August of 2025 our fleet starting traveling quite a bit in the Houston area. We have a credit card on file for all tolls, but they proceeded to increase our "on hand" deposit by nearly $8,000.00. When I questioned it, they said I'd either need to live with it, or get a bond. I arranged for a bond and then they said our account could be changed over to an in-house bond, meaning if we had a card on file we wouldn't get charged for increased deposits. So stupid--I had the card on file from day one. Now in reconciling my account, I see that they've started charging "other charges", and "service charges" in separate columns, all with no backup as to what it's for. When I requested details, I was told it will take "quite some time" to come up with it. Many months this has exceeded $500.00 extra per month. When I said this felt like it bordered on fraud, the representative got quiet. She said she'd get her supervisor involved to figure it out. We've been fighting this for months now.

The account is closed. Every time I called customer service to have an update about when they are going to issue back the money that they are holding, customer service comes up with a different answer, stating that needs 2 + 3 weeks more to issue the money back. From 45 days to 60 days that I was informed that will take from the day that the device was returned, is turning into 3 months. I was refused to be transfer to a supervisor to look into this matter. I will give zero star, not even one.
When closing your account with PrePass be prepared for the red tape run around when trying to get your deposit back. I returned my device on 6-18-25 and I'm still waiting for my deposit on 9-20-25. At first I was told it would take 45 days, then 60 days, then two weeks after the 60 day period. Still don't have it and I'm filing BBB and FTC complaints.
This company has no ethics or concept of customer service. I've had the displeasure of dealing with their billing department trying to close my account. I've had an easier time dealing with FMCSA than this company!
This company is very shady, they do not reimburse you the money when you return their useless devices . Instead they tell you you would need to close the account in full then we will reimburse you the money. What a horrible company. I am pulling and closing my relationship with them. Not to mention that I have to call each time and argue with them. the app never works! 0 stars is what they deserve.
We have had prepass on our fleet for years, and they charged us $500 for not returning a transponder, and did not notify us of the charge. Then, they put our account into collections, again without notifying us, and cancelled our service. Now they're claiming that they can't reinstate our service because we're "not in good standing" despite my efforts to pay them and return the transponder in question. Absolutely terrible services and systems.
This has got to be the biggest scam in history. The app hardly ever works, just takes up phone storage and the transponder hasn’t worked correctly since I’ve had it. All it does is sit on my windshield collecting dust.
They are a bunch of thief’s. Always taking money out of your account without telling you what it’s for. They constantly increase your program amount. That you did not authorize where it cost you more money n they won’t change it back.
Dispute process is a joke. Got an error or high toll. Dispute it. They still take that money n will take months for them to refund you.
They violate all consumer rights n protections. Will be having them investigated.

The device never worked from day 1. I got told several times to wait another week and see if it starts to work. After fighting for 2 weeks I got the service canceled and then they tell me it will be 60 days to get a refund. What a joke this company is.
They have a bad customer support in terms of online portal and bills. I don't have time to call the billing department but I like to see everything online. I am getting monthly emails with with an amount, the portal showing a different amount, the monthly bill has another amount. I am using 4 transponders, paying around $200 monthly and they hold a deposit of $1050. Nonsense !!!!!!!

Worst customer service- you stay on hold just to have your issue not be resolved. We got double charged and they won’t resolve it. We used the toll part maybe once or twice a month- they jacked up our deposit multiple times. We also had someone else’s account put on ours- charges and all. There’s got to be a better way.
I have used prepass for years. I had $600 deposit. I don’t use that much in tolls a month . So I asked for them to reduce my deposit to $300. They told me no and how I was gonna use my money. Also they tell me my deposit is only $550 now and it had been lowered to $450. They can’t tell me where my $150 went just it was a credit. There’s no paperwork to back what they are saying. Just your gonna do what we say or else. Personally I think all carriers and drivers that use this company needs to look into their business practices. Do better Prepass
BEWARE!! This company will double bill you. Even when you are in dispute with a few tolls. I’ve called in multiple times. Payments were supposed to be cancelled 237.45. Taken out on the 20th n 26th. Payment on 26ty was supposed to be cancelled. 2 employees said they cancelled it. Guess what…. They didn’t. Me cancelling it revokes there right to pull money out. (Unauthorized). Now they only want to give me part of it back because I have a few new unpaid tolls around 40 bucks. Even tho they messed up. I will be filing a law suit and will be filing charges of bank fraud, theft of unlawful taking. DONT USE THESE PEOPLE
I’m happy with prepass device .
I’m giving 5 stars because your service can save my time.
But still I’m not receiving bypass sometimes
