Overall I can't help but feel disappointed;

I noticed that some of the meals looked to be on the smaller side so I decided to weigh them. 3 of the 4 were out by quite a bit, one meal in particular was 90g less than stated on the box.
Two of the meals were very waterlogged by the end of cooking... turning the potatoes to mush & the black rice to more of a soggy risotto.
Despite this the Beef Bourguignon meal was still pretty tasty, though it did lack some veg & I was still hungry afterwards. The Cottage pie meal was also pretty decent and another favourite.
All four meals did require an additional 20 minutes or more of cooking time (As they were still partially frozen.)
But my biggest gripe has to be the cost: At £9 a frozen meal... it's shockingly overpriced (Regardless of the quality of ingredients.) Delivery was also an additional £7.

Very happy with delivery, packaging, taste and quality of products.
Will order again.

The vegetarian dishes have been delicious and I will reorder them.

the free range chicken was disappointing. I tried heating it up in the oven and the microwave and both meals the chicken was very dry and unpleasant to eat.

My parents organised a delicious food bundle as a surprise for me during my university exams. I received the 'brain fuel bundle' which was perfect for me and it was so nice to not have to worry about getting healthy meals together at this important time. I am particularly fond of the POW food energy balls, and the greens and grains soup!

Very tasty meals with real flavour. So glad to have found them.

Excellent food

Healthy, wholesome meals with great choice, and reasonabke price. I am glad I found pow foods as a new mum. I choose them every time.

I really am disappointed. I made sure I was in all day to collect my order of more than £50 of POW food, only for the food to be “returned to sender” the day it was meant to be delivered. When I looked at the tracking information that afternoon after waiting in the house the whole day ready to receive it, it only showed “Your recent order was returned to our warehouse” before I had received any of my food items . The companies response when asked if they could issue a refund (as I didn’t physically receive any of my items) was , “Unfortunately, we’re unable to issue a refund, as the order was fulfilled correctly on our end and the food cannot be reused once returned” even though I said I would do a full reorder of what I originally had hoped to buy. This has never happened with any of the other food companies I have used such as Field Doctor who have been brilliant at delivering my food on time and to my door without any problems. I have lost £50 and received no food.
My strong advice for anyone if there is any problems at all, the food gets delivered immediately back to the sender (before you can even look at the food) and there is no way to get a refund. The only thing they said to do was make a complete reorder if I did want the food with 50% discount. I have already spent the full £50 after paying the full price the first time and not received any food. I cannot afford to spend another £25 , totalling £75. I work in the NHS long hours and so I physically cannot afford to pay £75 to run the risk of not receiving any food a second time , for something that isn’t my fault.
I really am just really disappointment. After long hours at work i really was looking forward to this food. I took annual leave to be in the house and was in the house all day to collect it (only to see it had immediately been returned to sender). I didnt give it 1 star but 2 because for a moment I really was excited to try the food. But as it stands, I have lost £50 and received no food , and I physically can’t afford to loose any more money and have nothing to show for it.

The food is Amazing very healthy and nutritious meals, after having a baby and suffering with a hernia and tummy issues and my mobility these have been a godsend, I have had the new parents bundle and the gut health bundle and there hasn’t been one item in these bundles that I have not liked,these are really helping my tummy issues and are very enjoyable and filling

Fantastic food using all the right ingredients but why are there so many vegan dishes? Just a few beef which means this week’s order goes elsewhere. It’s such a shame bc their meals are lovely.

I got the vegan bundle and everything was delicious. I actually have ordered from other sites but powfood is the only site I’ve found which actually has clean ingredients not unnecessary stuff. And the food has great flavour and authentic homemade kind of taste. The price is set well and portion sizes are spot on. I will be ordering continuously and recommending to others. I think it would be good if they had more offers or loyalty kind of program.

The meals are quite expensive compared to others I've enjoyed and the sauces tend to be quite watery and the meat dry, especially chicken.

The food is Lovely l really like it and with me bring a wheelchair uesr it easy for me to eat heathy food

Phenomenal. The food was delivered in a well packed box. The food, drink and snacks were sensational. My only annoyance was that I didn’t know about this company before. The ingredients were quality and some of the packaging reusable which I appreciated. I wasn’t hungry once and looked forward to each meal.

I have sensitive tummy and it's always happy with the pow food range. No nasties and they really are delicious.

Ordering, delivery and Food delicious

Beautiful home cooked, tasty meals with no nasties added. Fast and efficient delivery and wide selection to choose from. Always really enjoyed there offering, the leek and potatoes soup was delicious as was the lamb koftas and fish pie. Would highly recommend.

I was really disappointed in the majority of the meals due to how dry/ hard they became whilst cooking.

With the exception of the mousakka / which was just lovely if slightly undercooked using the suggested time - all the meals dried out or became overcooked even when I followed the absolute minimum of the suggested cooking times. Most of the suggested cooking times can vary by as much as a minute in the microwave so there’s huge room for error. Some were hard and overcooked even on the minimum time. The chicken tikka had no microwave option and have to be cooked in the oven for 55 minutes but when we removed it at this time the chicken was still cold in the middle. That’s a disaster waiting to happen. We then have to microwave it to make sure it was properly heated through.

I can tell the food would be tasty if it were able to be reheated properly but the cooking times totally let it down. Also I would assume that there is not enough moisture in the dishes to begin with as they are completely dried out even on minimum cooking time. All the just completely disappeared! The cottage pie mince had actually gone hard and was inedible which is really disappointing considering how much you are charging.

I feel that this is something that should have been fine tuned prior to bringing these products to market as the price point is very high for this kind of product and the quality of ingredients that we are paying more for is lost in the cooking process. I’ve spent over £70 on very sub standard food so I’m very disappointed.

On the plus side the delivery process was excellent with all products arriving still well frozen due to the quality packaging. I can’t comment on the customer service yet as they haven’t replied to my email but I’ll update whenI get a response.

Updated to say, Pow did reach out and offered a full refund or replacement meals which was generous. At this stage I went for the refund but I would try again in the future once the timing issues are resolved
