I have also received several threatening emails from this company, claiming copyright infringement and stating they would only drop the "lawsuit" if I subscribed to their "Enterprise Plan." For the record, these emails were all automatically flagged as spam, so I didn't even notice them until much later. Even if they use urgent subject lines like "Response required within 48 hours" or "Payment due within 24 hours," there is absolutely no need to panic.

It is natural to feel scared and overwhelmed when you open an email filled with plausible legal jargon, threats of a lawsuit, and demands that must be met within a few hours. This is exactly what this company preys on. They are truly malicious.

Back in 2020, I subscribed to a 3-month Personal Premium Plan from them. I draw as a hobby and thought it would be nice to have some resources, so I downloaded a few images. I do not work in an industry that uses these graphics, nor do I operate any personal social media or websites. There was zero possibility for those downloaded assets to be leaked or exposed externally. Furthermore, I understood that the Personal Premium Plan allowed for some level of commercial use anyway. I can guarantee that the "copyright infringement" they are claiming is non-existent.

I was flustered at first, but I began to investigate because several things felt suspicious: the emails were in the spam folder, they lacked any actual evidence while asserting my "guilt," their claims were inconsistent, and they immediately jumped to demanding payment. Fortunately, I found countless similar stories on Reddit and Trustpilot, which convinced me that this is a complete scam.

Furious, I sent a reply detailing my situation and demanded they either provide clear evidence of my supposed infringement or stop this harassment immediately. It’s incredibly frustrating that they ruined my weekend.

I am sharing this review on Trustpilot in the hope that no one else falls victim to this company. Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences here; it kept me from feeling anxious. Below is the reply I received today :

(Initially, they claimed they had secured all evidence of unauthorized commercial usage through their investigation and had completed all legal preparations, but now they are suddenly changing their tune? This is absolutely ridiculous.)

Scam company. Guess they are on the verge of bankruptcy because they are threatening to sue everyone if they don’t take an Enterprise plan. Illegal, but they are trying. Also they ask you for proof, instead of them proving you ever used any of the images. Crazy.

I purchased a lifetime individual license and was always satisfied with the service. A year later, they are claiming copyright infringement and use of the images for commercial purposes (which is not permitted under the individual license). They are not showing any links that prove the infringement; they simply state that the downloads made do not comply with the terms and conditions because they were for commercial use.

In the European Union, such a requirement must be authorized separately from the general terms and conditions. This is because it is an unbalanced term between the provider and the customer. The contract is therefore invalid as presented to European customers.

Despite my timely response to their email, they now claim they never received a reply and are demanding an upgrade to a commercial license. The individual license was sold at the time for $99 on a lifetime basis. The lifetime commercial license currently costs $999.

This is a scam site that tried to steal my user info by email after I signed up.

They're sending threatening emails to people accusing them of 'copyright infringement', and the solution is to buy one of their plans, or they will pursue legal action. They absolutely will not pursue legal action against you, so don't worry, and do not be intimidated by them. Ignore their requests. DO NOT give them any of your money! It's a scam.

They are continually harassing me for an enterprise membership, even though I have owned this business for 4 years and have never heard of them. Nor do I have the access details. They are using multiple versions of the work emails, so I can only assume this is a hoax. The last email came through with hundreds of clients' access codes.

I used their “free relaxed” downloads, which are apparently NOT free. Now they are threatening copyright infringement. I used them for personal use and do not share them. They are a SCAM.

Scam company. Sent an email telling me that I was going to face legal action for using on of their images that was downloaded with the free plan. No images were ever used on anything, ever. They are trying to use scare tactics to try and bully money out of people. Quite disgusting behavior. Stay away.

PNGtree tricked me into purchasing with a pop-up, then after I paid, indicated that I would have to pay more to get the rights to sell my products with their images on them. Their crooked and deceitful methods are wrong. I tried for a refund, which I asked for seconds after signing up. While they say "cancel anytime," you do not get a refund under any circumstances.

Received an email about copyright infringement for a page that I stopped using a long while ago, and there were around 4 images on it, which I am sure were not even from PNGtree.

I did not use the page for long, so I deleted the page, but I won't fall into their trap of upgrading to enterprise.

I signed up for their service a long time ago, and I feel really angry to see how their situation is now.

All photos are personal commercial license
so logically it should have been allowed to be use by yourself as a sole business owner

What was weird also was that they tagged my Pngtree ID on the email along with the page name of Facebook.

I mistakenly uploaded free, AI-generated Non-commercial images to PNGtree.
PNG is not willing to delete my files. Even though they have a file deletion policy, they still refuse to remove them. I informed them that these images are not allowed for commercial use, but they still have not taken them down from their website.

Never did any kind of business with them and they keep sending me mails with accusations of using their property. No evidence or what ever in the mail, they ask me to log in and choose a program... I will never log in from a doubtful mail.

Everyone please do yourself a big favor and stay away from these scam 🐛 bugs. They are total fraud. Do not fall for a couple good reviews. Those users who use the free features may be happy at first but it will not have a happy ending. They will definitely come after you and threaten you to pay for subscription. The free image is like a bait to fish you. For all those who are reading this review, if you have not used pngtree, please do not use them. There are many other websites you can use out there. Avoid these scams at all costs.

The wrote me emails of copyright infringement and to upgrade to an enterprise plan on a none existing account. Even when I go to their website to check if an account is on their database on which they contacted me it says that none such account exists.
Total scam company that tries to squeeze people for money hoping people to budge.
