We joined the city walking tour on Lucía’s recommendation and it was AWESOME!!!!!!!! The guide was interesting and quite funny, which made the history of Granada really come alive. Lucía helped us choose the English-speaking group and handled the booking very fast!! Excellent service 🥰

Le tour Albaicín et Sacromonte était incroyable, avec des vues magnifiques sur l’Alhambra. Lucía nous a conseillé le tour en fin d’après-midi por voir le coucher de soleil, et c’était magique. Elle est vraiment très bien informé.

The e-bike tour through Sacromonte was such a fun way to explore the hills without getting exhausted. Lucía explained how the bikes worked and reassured us since we hadn’t tried e-bikes before. She was so friendly and helpful.

Durante nuestra estancia hicimos varias actividades: tour por el centro histórico, paseo por el Albaicín y espectáculo de flamenco. Todo lo gestionó Lucía desde el primer momento. Nos dio diferentes opciones según el tiempo que teníamos y fue totalmente sincera sobre cuál merecía más la pena. El servicio fue impecable y los guías muy preparados. Se agradece encontrarse con alguien tan profesional y honesta.

I had the same experience; I booked with Viator but then received an e mail from Play Granada saying they couldn’t honour my confirmed tickets to AlHambra in Granada. They then offered me an alternate package for 396€ which I had no choice but to accept since our family were on route to Granada. After communicating with Play Granada and Viator, I determined I had been scammed. Stay far away from Play Granada!

I recently had a frustrating experience with Play Granada and Viator while trying to purchase tickets for the Alhambra. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement.
First and foremost, I found that they are selling tickets for Alhambra at **three times the actual price**. This level of mark-up is not only outrageous but also feels like a blatant exploitation of tourists wanting to visit this beautiful site. It's disheartening to think that companies would prioritise profit over fair pricing

Adding to my frustration is their policy of **not providing refunds or allowing any amendments** to your bookings. Life can be unpredictable, and plans can change, yet when I reached out for assistance, I was met with rigid policies that offered no flexibility or understanding.
When I attempted to contact customer service regarding these issues, the response was anything but satisfactory. The representatives were unhelpful and dismissive of my concerns. Instead of resolving my issues, I felt even more frustrated after each interaction. It seems like there is no real support for customers once they're locked into their overpriced tickets.
Overall, I cannot recommend either Play Granada or Viator for Alhambra tickets. The combination of high prices, inflexible policies, and poor customer service makes for a highly disappointing experience. Save your money and look for more reputable options!

Same experience as others. Booked a tour of the Alhambra with them through Viator. Did not do enough research as they apparently offer the same scam to many people - 35 euros for a guided tour of the Alhambra, not including Nasrid Palaces. Then they try to upsell you on a separate ticket to Nasrid Palace for €50, payable via a link that was sent to me on WhatsApp. Then they cancel the day before. So you give them €80 for the same experience you would get for €20 through the official Alhambra website. After I read the reviews, I bought the general entry ticket just in case they cancelled. Sure enough - they cancelled the day before and offered me either an audio guide instead or I could move the date. Thankful I learned before giving them more money, but disappointed Viator continues to let them operate.

Watch out for this company play Granada as they will take your payment and last minute offer an audio guide do it yourself. Then they also change times at last minute. Then to top it there is rudest Spanish young girl who refused to give her name at the office when we insisted they give us a guided tour which we paid for but she kept ranting at us. She then tried to charge us extra for a guided tour the next day. This PLAY GRANADA is geared to exploiting additional charges and has a very attitude displayed by this arrogant young girl. She should not be in hospitality.

Guided tour with audio guide: we found that the best part of the Alhambra was not included, in spite of the expensive price. The audio guide is a female voice spending time in continuous quotes of Irving and in celebration of the beauty of the places, but does not give any historical or artistic information. Completely useless, no more!!

Total scam!
A very bad experience with this dishonest agency that sold us tickets for the Alhambra for €99 when they actually cost €12. Don't be fooled and buy your tickets from the official tourist office or directly at the Alhambra.

Booked online through Viator. Was contacted the day before arriving in Granada that there was a computer error and they cancelled our booking. We arrive tomorrow and will be unable to visit Alhambra, which is the whole reason for visiting the city. Extremely unprofessional and this appears to be a common scam. I should have done my homework.

Play Granada’s website, banners outside and inside the shop, located at Carrera del Darro, 1, Albaicín, 18010 Granada, Spain and staff misrepresented the scope of the ticket. At no point was it clearly stated that Nasrid Palace access was excluded. This is not a minor oversight — the Nasrid Palaces are the highlight of the Alhambra and require separate, timed access. The omission was intentional, misleading, and exploitative, targeting tourists unfamiliar with the Alhambra’s layout.

As a result, I was:
• Denied entry to the main attraction
• Misled by unclear or deliberately ambiguous marketing, which is in violation of EU Law protecting consumers
• Charged for a product that did not deliver what was promised
• I paid EUR 278,= while I received tickets worth EUR 20,=, which I only discovered when denied entry to the Nasrid Palaces; I paid this amount because we were not able to buy tickets online earlier and wanted to experience the Alhambra

To make things even worse: when I subsequently complained at the shop, the person working there called the police to have me removed. However, when the police arrived I explained the scam and the police did not remove me from the office but instead started talking to the person from the shop.

Do not book any tickets with this company. We paid €40/person for Alhambra tickets and were told the morning of our tour that they were cancelled because of a “computer problem.” Play Granada offered to sell us “last minute tickets” for the next day at €70/person, €30 more than what we had originally paid. Book directly with Alhambra or another vendor.

Viator and TripAdvisor just cheated me not only out of €207.00 but also prevented me from realising a dream.

I paid the money for 3 tickets to the Alhambra on 15 May 2025 only for them to inform me a few hours before the visit ‘that there is a problem’. What exactly is the problem? Are you scamming me in broad daylight?

I have already incurred transport (from South Africa), accommodation and ticket costs amounting to more than €3000 - including hiring a wheelchair for my seriously ill daughter at € 72 for the day. And now, after arriving in Grenada, you are telling me there is a ‘problem’.

I intend to arrive at the cathedral tomorrow, show them your confirmation that we have a booking, proof of payment and insist that they prevent you from doing further business with the Alhambra.

TripAdvisor / Viator, this is an injustice that my family will never forgive you for.

We did a bike tour of Albaicin Grenada with Play Grenada. Our tour guide Angel was amazing. Very knowledgeable and really enjoyable to spend a couple of hours with. Would highly recommend.
