I have used Phoenix Motorcycle Training…
I have used Phoenix Motorcycle Training a few times now. The instructors are very helpful, relaxed but above all, clear in communication and expectations. Definitely focus on safety and competence. I shall be using PMT again soon to begin practicing and honing My knowledge on a bigger bike and soon after, attempt My full test.

Unprofessional Behaviour During Training
I found this school through Google and decided to book with them because of the positive reviews. I paid for the training and expected to be treated professionally and with respect.
At the beginning, everything seemed fine, but once I started road training with one of the instructors, my experience became very disappointing. That instructor was rude and spoke to me in a very disrespectful way. On one occasion, there was a misunderstanding about the traffic light because he was behind me, and even though it was not my fault, he became angry. Through the headset, I heard him use offensive language toward me, including calling me “d£he£d,” which I found completely unacceptable.
What made it worse was that there was another trainee with us, and I could clearly hear that the instructor spoke to him in a much kinder and more relaxed way, even when he made mistakes. However, when it came to me, the instructor was often harsh, rude, and impatient. I was respectful throughout the training and gave them no reason to treat me this way.
I stayed until the end because I had already paid and wanted to complete my training, and I did receive my certificate. However, the way I was treated made the experience very uncomfortable and upsetting.
I also want to be fair and mention that there was another instructor who was very good. He was professional, supportive, and spoke to me with respect, and I really appreciated that. Unfortunately, my overall experience was affected by the behaviour of the other instructor.
Because of this experience, I would not recommend this school to my friends or to others looking for professional training.

I am genuinely sorry to hear that parts of your training left you feeling uncomfortable or disrespected. This is not the experience we want any of our students to have, and I appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
After receiving your feedback, I spoke with the instructor involved to understand what happened during the road training. He mentioned that there were a few situations where instructions may not have come through clearly over the one‑way radio system, and there was also an incident where another road user pulled out in front of you. He explained that any strong language used at that moment was directed toward the driver of the other vehicle—not toward you—and he apologized at the time for how it might have sounded over the headset.
That said, I fully understand how, in the moment, this could still have felt upsetting or directed at you. Your feelings are valid, and I am sorry that the situation affected your experience.
Regarding the difference you felt between how students were spoken to, the instructor explained that his focus was on ensuring your safety, particularly around lifesaver checks, which are crucial during road training. He spent more time giving reminders because he wanted to make sure you were confident and safe—which you ultimately demonstrated very well by the end of the session.
I also appreciate your positive comments about the other instructor you worked with. We are glad to hear that part of your training felt supportive and professional.
While I’m pleased that you completed the course successfully, I am disappointed that your overall impression was affected. We take all feedback seriously, and your comments will be used to help us review how we communicate with students—especially over radio systems where tone can be easily misunderstood.
Thank you again for sharing your experience. We wish you all the best in your riding journey, and if you ever decide to return to us in the future, we would be happy to support you again.
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service, from the representatives over the phone to the instructors down at the centre in Crystal Palace. I went for the fast-track course, for which I was given a green light after an assessment day, in which I dealt with Darren, and he was relaxed and helpful.
Preparing for my Mod 1 & 2, I was under Mark's instruction. I am an experienced driver, but not in the UK, and some old bad habits were flagged, and thanks to clear instructions, I was able to pass both tests.
I can only say good things about the team at Phoenix, and I definitely recommend anyone to invest their time and money in their expertise to prepare you for the tests in the most efficient way possible.

Awesome day of training
I really enjoyed the training and road ride, it was brilliant. The instructor Steve was excellent, he was very informative and a helpful guide throughout the whole day. Highly recommend him as the go to person when looking for moped/scooter/ motorbike training.

I recently completed my CBT training…
I recently completed my CBT training with Sam and had a really great experience. Sam was very patient, professional, and explained everything clearly, which helped me feel confident even though I was a bit nervous at the start.
The training was well structured, covering all the important safety checks, bike control, and road awareness. Sam made sure I understood each step before moving on, and he gave helpful tips that made riding much easier.
What I appreciated most was his calm teaching style and the way he encouraged questions. By the end of the session, I felt much more comfortable riding on the road.
I would definitely recommend Sam to anyone who is planning to take their CBT.

Amazing trainers with so much patience…
Amazing trainers with so much patience even when something should be so easy.
I had various trainers over the courses and all gave clear instructions, explained everything again if needed etc.
I passed my mod 2 first time.
