My two policies were easy to buy online.

They were cheaper than my renewal quotes.

The process of arranging the Insurance was very easy. I have used Sainsbury's Pet insurance before for my last dog, who is sadly no longer with us. When I got my new puppy, he came with some insurance, which I carried on with, until this year, when their premium went through the roof. I immediately checked out Sainsbury's Pet insurance and they were way cheaper, and I know from experience that their service is second to none. We had various claims with my old dog and Sainsbury's were brilliant.

The pet insurance cover has not let us down, they covered my male pup when he needed an operation, and more recently my females ear infection. Claims made easily via log in, and no push back at all. Cover is well priced (waiting for renewal price which i imagine will increase due to claims). Only downside is their offer through Nectar offering bonus points as this required constant chasing after Nectare initially refuted the offer for extra points for taking insurance.

Being new to insurance claims for my pet, I was very pleasantly surprised at how helpful the staff were and how very simple and quick it was to make a claim. More than that, the claim was settled extremely quickly. Thank you, I shall certainly recommend Sainsbury's Pet Insurance

Claim dealt with very quickly

I recently had to take our lovely pippa to vets . She had bladder stones. She had an operation to remove them on the Friday. The vets put the claim in for me on the Monday. I heard straight back that they received the claim by Friday they emailed me to say they was paying the money one thousand eight hundred and thirty three pound in my bank. I thought it would take weeks. Im really really impressed with their service. She has had to have further water sample tests wich they have paid just as quick. So overall I am very pleased with the process of claiming and the quickness of it being sorted. Thank you sainsburys.

The most important thing for me was the speed at which my claim was assessed and paid. The money was in my bank within five days of the start of the process. I'm very impressed!

Update. Can we leave a negative score? Unbelievably vague information when I queried the exclusions. If your cat has ever had a wee 2 day cold, they'll slap an exclusion for respiratory on you. Allergy? Neurological exclusion. And, am now told the current exclusions may not be exhaustive. Avoid at all costs - save your sanity.

We moved from another insurer to save only a few pounds per year. Its taken Sainsburys over 1 month to confirm the policy which they have today put exclusions on, despite our cat not having presented any of the issues listed. Proceed with caution. I would not recommend because of the hoops presented & the timescales involved. Want to know your pet is covered from the start? Find someone else.

I would like to thank Sainsbury's pet insurance for the way that they handled my claim. This was a no fuss on line claim, and the payout was made once contact was made with the vet.

Unfortunately had to make a claim for my dog but Sainsbury’s pet insurance made the process so much easier. The portal is very easy to use and I also had to call but the staff member was very friendly and helpful. Have recommended to other pet owners :)

Setting up my original policy was easy and the service whilst my pet was ill was 1st class . Very helpful when my dog passed away . Taking out a new policy for my new dog was not as good as sending documents was not as easy as it could be . I believe this was down to the design of the web site and email addresses being unnecessarily lengthy.

I would highly recommend Sainsbury's Pet Insurance. The whole process was easy and hassle-free, and they settled the claim very quickly.
