My veterinary practice issued a claim after my dog had treatment with them. I had confirmation the next day that the claim had been paid.

All I needed to do what gives my policy number to my vets and they dealt with everything.

So impressed and very different to other policies I have had in the past which has taken ages to settle fees.

Very smooth claim and pretty easy to do

The experience was good during a very stressful period after discovering my poor dog had a rapid growing cancerous tumour which had to be operated on immediately undergoing major surgery to save her life. Vet put in claim which made it easier as they could send full medical history.

They were very quick and efficient

Claim for almost £2000 was declined for one of my dogs who suffers with periodontal disease. She had to have 15 teeth removed. The claim was declined due to this being “dental” however my vet has advised that I take Sainsbury’s insurance to the ombudsman due to it being a disease in the gums and not dental neglect.

Easy claim procedure and paid out due money in a timely manner

My pet insurance claim was settled reasonably quickly. However, there were issues with communication from Sainburys - I got a couple of emails implying there were problems getting information from our vet practice, which was unnecessarily stressful: one of these arrived after the claim had been paid!

It takes a long time to get my nectar points and the difference i have seen canbbe upto 3000 nectar points and upto 2 months before you get them .shopped around seem best deal fingers crossed not made a claim yet but when I called them they sorted problem out as I got year of birth wrong only 1 year but told them in less than a week which did increase cost but not too much but otherwise upto now im ok with them

Filled in claim form which was easy to understand. The helpline/customer service helped when I made a mistake. reimbursement received quickly.

Such a seemless no hassle no worry policy. Our cat had several problems and eventually Died, sainsburys covered everything and cancelled the policy from the death, cant rate them enough. Will use again
