I did query the increase in price and was so busy the auto renewal went ahead. I won't be renewing next year as I have not made a claim and the premium went up by £300 with no real explanation.

I haven't had to claim as of yet, hopefully I won't have to, but I think I have a good insurance for my Frenchie. I was a bit surprised that it went up from £39 to £50 though. But as long as I have cover for my Frenchie that's all that matters.

Luckily, I have not had to use the insurance for my cat, but I am sure it would be excellent if I had to use it.

Pet guard was prompt and efficient in dealing with our young dogs nasty gastro enteritis, and there was no problem with the claim.
The reason I have not renewed this time is the high cost of premiums, although I appreciate they are still very competitive, and the increase of the excess is prohibitive, especially for our older dog.
Also Pet guard is one of the few insurers to accept working dogs, so it is with some reluctance that I will be putting the premiums into a “doggy” savings account instead.

Always there for help & advice; never a problem when claiming against insurance.

Never made a claim in the two years I had pet insurance. Recently got my renewal and the premium more than doubled!! Cancelled the policy, very disappointing.

No problems we did not have to claim but our policy payment increased by 97.00 for the year. We therefore found a company which offered the same cover for much less

The customer service person was excellent except for the fact that I was told that I would get a hard copy of my policy through the post and I haven’t received it.

Staff easy to talk to and talked to me, not at me. Answered queries straightforward language. Treated respectfully.

I needed insurance for my newly acquired Romanian rescue Shih Tzu, I received the Chip information and your company was suggested as being the best one to use. I completed the form very easily and can now relax as Bella is in your safe hands.

My main issue is that it takes nearly a month for payment to be made. I understand that checks have to be made but when you have paid out £500 on your credit card and the payment has to be made before the insurance pays out it can be financially difficult.

This is the first time I’ve got pet insurance and it was very straightforward and easy to use.

It was very easy to do, and no problems setting up the DD, hopefully it will be unused, but for our peace of mind when it comes to our pet, very happy.
