4 sterren en daar houd het op.
Verouderd hotel, oude matrassen en verouderd meubilair.
Klachten getoond aan het personeel maar ze doen er niets mee, je moet de manager aanspreken en dan gaan er deuren open. Eerste kamer met zijzeezicht was voorzien van extra zicht op een grote snoei container . Een nieuwe kamer gekregen met zeezicht ,op een gang waar ze werkzaamheden aan het doen waren. ALL IN het woord zegt het zelf, wel hier moet je bijbetalen voor de dranken die het meest gebruikt worden zoals donkere rum, whisky en speciale cocktails. 8€ st. Eten 4 sterren, heel gewoon, niet slecht,zeker geen 5 sterren. Op de gangen ruik je uitlaatgassen tijdens lossen laden van benodigdheden voor het hotel, ze laten de bussen en klein transport stationair draaien aan de ingang . Niemand die dit in vraag stelt . Besluit: ga je voor budget zogezegd 5 sterren dan veel succes.
Voor ons is 5 sterren een ander niveau waar alles top moet zijn.

We stayed at the Pestana Porto and the…

We stayed at the Pestana Porto and the Pestana Lisbon in September. In Porto the service in the bar was appalling due to a wedding, it would appear that residents come second even at £400 per night. We were then charged 4euros for the receptionist to order a taxi on our behalf.
I personally would be aware that they are very good at taking promotional photos of a palazzo and then showing you to a bedroom that is like a Premier inn.

I stayed at this hotel checking in was 4 very late in my opinion, having travelled 4 hours at the location in Battersea London we arrived after 5, only to be told it was not ready, in a very rude and abrupt manner, I do not expect reception staff to act this way, we had another 25min wait. On the ⛳ the hotel room was excellent pity the staff aren't.

Pestana Casino - Madeira
Gone downhill no longer a 5 star !
Dirty bathrooms and shabby bedrooms
Needs a major overhaul and some TLC
Black mould round the shower
Extremely noisy main road
Very poor housekeeping
No mini bar or coffee/tea making facilities
Very expensive Spa treatments
Casino tipping out time 4.00 am causes major sleep disturbance if on that side of the hotel.
However breakfast choices good and most of the staff friendly and accommodating!!

Bare minimum, non-responsive, poorly managed

Bare rooms, lacks basic amenities e.g. lotion, face tissue., self serve coffee/tea maker. Uncomfortable pillows and mattress. Cold breakfast, without a toaster even to toast bread. No options for tea. Not worth the money. They could not even provide a zero balance statement at checkout. Their response- talk to the agency. Tone deaf, not at all customer friendly.

I had an amazing experience at Pestana…

I had an amazing experience at Pestana Park Avenue New York! The staff treated us like family, incredibly warm, kind, and solution-oriented. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was exceptional. The hotel itself is incredibly clean, quiet, and the beds are super comfortable!

A lovely surprise was arranged for my daughter’s birthday, which made her feel so special. Most importantly, as a Black man, I am often treated differently because of my appearance, but at this hotel, I experienced the exact opposite— I was treated like family.

I can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay so memorable. Highly recommended!

A enganar clientes desde 1972

O Pestana vende vouchers no valor de 149 eur que podem ser usadas para uma noite em APA para 2 adultos em certas alturas do ano, ou como desconto no valor da tarifa do quarto para situaçoes que saiam fora deste ambito. No entanto neste segundo caso, os valores dos quartos sao SEMPRE inflacionados. Ou seja, o valor da tarifa para o mesmo quarto seria de (exemplo especifico na Pousada do Geres) 132 eur se eu pagar em numerario ou com cartao, 150 eur se eu pagar com voucher. Isto e completamente ridiculo, uma vez que estamos a pagar 149 eur pelo voucher, quando ele deveria valer os 132eur (ou qualquer que fosse o valor da tarifa para os restantes clientes. E muito enganador - embora nos voucher estejam escritas as condicoes (as datas de validade, o tipo de quarto, a ocupacao) em nenhum lado está escrito que quem usa o voucher paga uma tarifa mais alta que quem nao usa voucher. Para além disso, um quarto para 2 adultos e uma criança tem um preço inferior do que um quarto para 1 adulto e 2 criancas. Ou seja mais uma vez exatamente o mesmo quarto com precos diferentes. Muito pouco transparente e correto.

A great hotel in an ideal location


A great hotel in an ideal location, but I have to address a disappointing issue with their handling of guest credit. During my last stay, I checked out two nights early, and the hotel offered me a voucher for those unused nights. I even double-checked with the reception to confirm that I could use this voucher at any time, and they assured me I could. However, when I returned a year later, I was told at check-in that the voucher had expired after only six months—a condition I was never informed about. They claimed to have sent an email to notify me, but it was to an email address I didn’t recognize. In short, it’s a wonderful hotel, but I recommend not leaving any credits or vouchers with them, as you might lose them in an unfortunate way.”

Voucher Premium Check-in Pestana

Tendo adquirido um voucher Premium Check-in no valor de cerca de 150€, o mesmo apresenta as respetivas condições, nomeadamente que é possível efetuar reserva (sem ser usado como desconto) para 1 (uma) noite por exemplo numa das pousadas do grupo, nos feriados e fins de semana. Contudo, estas pousadas estão a colocar uma condição adicional que é a de ter que reservar 2 noites, não obstante tal condição não consta no voucher. Tendo em conta as já muitas condições deste tipo de voucher ainda existem outras escondidas, e é assim que o grupo Pestana trata quem confia na marca e investe em vouchers deste tipo. Este tratamento é meramente comercial e não atende minimamente às expectativas de quem comprou este voucher. Entretanto obtive resposta do grupo Pestana que confirmou esta prática enganosa, sem qualquer pudor.

Some improvements needed at Pestana Royal

Stayed for 7 days at Pestana Royal, lovely hotel and location. Staff was great and very helpful. Will share some pros and cons to assist future travellers:
Pros: great location, bus service to Funchal 2 x during the day, really useful. Pool is great, lifts to go down to the beach, nice surrounding and clean.
Cons: entertainment ends at 10pm when everyone is warming up, even on weekends, really disappointed. Bar by the pool also closes to early - no bars inside the building or cosy area with music to relax. Pool food is poor and only burgers and horrible sausages, bread was hard. Restaurant never offer pizza anywhere during the stay. The Italian restaurant was terrible, no atmosphere, food was the same as the main restaurant. Staff was great but food was a disaster. The worst Tiramisu I have ever tasted in my life. Do not waste time booking it.
Generally a good value for money. During this time of the year the majority of the guests were like retired people, not many kids, all very friendly!!

Pestana Guest Club member is a scam

Last year I had a nice staying at Pestana Alvor South Beach. I used for my beverage and snacks at the restaurants and bars my Pestana Membership card. I Had more then 42000 points. This year in June I want to use my points to make a booking. I discovered that my point was suddenly disappared by an error in the Guest Card system. Pestana Front Office did their best to put 41000 point back on my card. The last points I need to provide them the receipts from almost a year ago. The Customer Service is not replying the managers is not replying. Very customer unfriendly so foks dont use the membership its a scam

Pestana Blue Alvor Beach

Ten (10) days at the Pestana Blue Alvor Beach Hotel, Alvor, Portugal (booked via Tui Holidays); this being my first holiday in Portugal. Excellent customer service from the moment of arrival to departing. Huge choice on the menu at every meal. The housekeeping staff provided extra beverage making stock in the room upon request. The accommodation was very clean and well maintained as was the hotel in general. The whole hotel has been recently refurbished from top to bottom. Free WiFi coverage throughout the building. A free room safe large enough to accommodate numerous electronic devices and valuables. Built-in USB sockets in the bedside lamps. More than enough electrical sockets in the room. The reception staff were very knowledgeable regarding local day trips. Booking are on a cash basis only. There is a cash point (ATM) in the hotel the reception area. The small shop in reception is adequately provisioned. The shop sells the standard selection of holiday gifts, beach goods and toiletries.

Do not forget to have two Euros (one Euro in the low season) per guest per night (to the maximum of seven nights) available upon checking in for the local hotel tax.

I was so impressed by my experience at the Pestana Blue Alvor Beach that I have made a further booking for later this year.

We stayed at the Pestana Blue Alvor & enjoyed our week very much.The food was fantastic & the staff very friendly & super attentive. The infinity pool was amazing with a great view looking out at the sea. All inclusive was great as cocktails & red wine all day was a dream come true.

Pestana Viking in Porches 2 star not 4

Hotel 2 star not 4. Not a golf resort (nearest course 12km), Food bland and poor quality, main problem was the room - very small for a double, bathroom was ridiculously small, very basic. Outside area was good with lots of space for sunbeds. Outside bar reduced when there is a wedding on (which is regular). Staff seemed grumpy, probably due to the number of complaints. HOTEL DOES NOT TAKE CASH! They want you to leave a card authorisation, which I have done at many hotels. However when checking in, the client next to me was checking out and he had over 250 euros charged to his card, when he only ordered two drinks and a snack. When he told staff this, they said the card payment had already gone through....ridiculous. A good italian restaurant and Portuguese nearby, mini market 400m up hill. Would not recommend or return. A very tired hotel in need of refurbishment.

After 1 year my parents are still…

After 1 year my parents are still waiting to receive their refund. We have exchanged several calls and emails and this problem is still not solved. The customer care service has been unresponsive and unfriendly towards their clients.
