Really enjoyed my stay at the reading hotel. The staff were very welcoming and were happy to help assist with anything. The room was lovely although I would recommend that instead of two single duvets for a double bed it could have been a double since it was only me. Nice and clean and ready for my stay. Would happily stay there again when I need to.

The most awful hotel staff that I have ever come across the power trip that the door man was on was unwarranted we wanted to check that my friend of 30 years got back to his room safely but as I was not staying in the hotel was not allowed up with the others and he was so rude and arrogant. Would not waste my money on this place

Wir hatten das Pentahotel in Leipzig aufgrund der Spiele-Angebote ausgewählt. Da es mein Geburtstagsgeschenk war, hatte meine Partnerin dies auch bei der Reservierung angegeben. Es war sehr enttäuschend, dass wir auf dem Zimmer leider keinen Spielautomat oder Konsole erhalten haben. Die Spielautomaten in der Lobby waren zugeklebt, so dass man sie nicht verwenden konnten.

Eine Mini-Bar gab es auf dem Zimmer auch nicht, was gerade im Sommer sehr ungünstig war, um mal ein paar Getränke zu kühlen.

Auch schade, dass die Terrasse vor dem Hotel fast immer zugesperrt war, erst auf Nachfrage wurde diese geöffnet. Sitzkissen wurden jedoch nicht herausgebracht.

Am schlimmsten war jedoch, dass wir für uns Glutenfreies Frühstück vorbestellet hatten. Das Service- sowie Küchenpersonal waren offensichtlich nicht geschult, was Zöliakie angeht. Am 1. Tag wurden wir, nachdem wir nach dem glutenfreien Frühstück gefragt hatten, von einem Koch darauf hingewiesen (sehr undiskret inmitten der Buffet-Fläche), dass das Glutenfreie Brot bei den anderen Broten zu finden wäre.

Das Glutenfreie Brot (es gab nur 1 zur Auswahl), lag mitten der Weizenmehl Brote, es gab auch keinen separaten Toaster. Brötchen, Croisants, Müsli, gab es nicht als Glutenfreie Optionen. Das Brot war unfassbar trocken, und schmeckte do grau wie es aussah. Es war quasi unzumutbar.
Meine Partnerin hatte am 2. Tag schon starke Bauchschmerzen. Wir haben dann herausgefunden, dass der Bacon auf einem Brott-Bett geschichtet am Buffet stand, ohne jeglichen Hinweis darauf. Meine Partnerin hatte am Tag zuvor bereits daraus etwas gegessen, was die starken Bauchschmerzen erklärt.

Bitte Schulen Sie ihr Personal im Umgang mit Glutenfreier-Lebensmittel sowie Kreuz-Kontaminierung dringend nach. Unachtsames anbieten von Speisen kann gravierende Konsequenzen für betroffene haben.

Wir würden uns sehr über eine Entschuldigung und kleine Entschädigung freuen.

The bed was turned down but creased like it had been laid on, the only evening food available was Japanese (of which I have no experience) or burgers (which not only am I not fond of but as a Coeliac I usually have to avoid) There was a gluten free bun but it was not appetising so I avoided the meal on the second night.

Breakfast was passable but, again as a Coeliac, most of it was not available to me.

But the real problem was having to explain to Reception what a tea pot was, why I wanted one and then being refused one because the tea bags could only be used in the mugs and the pots were only for "tea dust".

Nicht noch mal Penthahotel. Wir waren zur Abendveranstaltung im Haus Leipzig eingeladen und waren im Penthahotel untergebracht. Nie wieder...
Für diesen hohen Preis, für eine Übernachtung, so ein Zimmer geboten zu bekommen, ist mehr als frech.
So einen dreckigen, abgenutzten Teppich (mit Brandflecken) habe ich noch nie gesehen. Das Zimmer und auch die ganze Etage roch nach Rauch. Schlafen war nur mit offenen Fenster möglich. Frechheit

We stayed at the hotel overnight on the 28th July. The staff checking in were very friendly and no issues were apparent at that time. Rooms are to be expected for the price we paid, nothing fancy but beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. It wasn’t until going to sleep in the evening where issues were raised.

If you are lucky enough to not be roomed next to other hotel-stayers then you are VERY lucky. Paper thin walls and hotel guests who do not understand that it is not appropriate to be arguing and screaming at eachother on top of SLAMMING the door out of anger at 2AM. Due to the inconsiderate events of the room next to us (and I know this is out of the hotels control how others choose to behave during their stay) we didn’t sleep. We understand that whilst we most likely should have notified the staff of this argument taking place, we didn’t want to aggravate an already tense situation - especially considering that there were adjoining doors to our rooms!

In the morning on the way to breakfast, we notified the reception staff on duty that morning of how our night had gone, and that we were unhappy about the situation. Unfortunately the staff told us there was nothing that they could do about it and that it wasn’t their fault we slept bad as we should have notified the staff at the time of the disturbance. We understand that we could have notified someone, but as explained, we didn’t want to get involved in a situation where someone was threatening to “beat the ****” out of their partner and potentially put our own safety at risk. We are sympathetic that something should have been said, but it was the “can’t be bothered” attitude and lack of apology that we were met with that morning that left us feeling disheartened. Apparently we were not the only hotel guests who didn’t have a good nights sleep (we stayed with a group of friends, and 3/5 rooms reported having a bad nights sleep due to noisy guests).

The breakfast service itself was not bad… some of the food that needed replenishing (i.e ADB) wasn’t done quick enough in my opinion for the volume of guests coming in to eat, however I can’t fault the service of the gentleman running the service that morning (he was on his own for this, and ensured everyone was comfortable, that the space was clean and that the food station was well presented).

Overall, the majority of staff were very kind and clearly understand the meaning of good hospitality. However, if you are looking for a guaranteed good nights sleep, you may want to find somewhere else to go as out expectations were not met.

Had an overnight stay for work at Penta Birmingham. Reception and bar area have a ‘trendy’ and modern feel but the area and rooms are tired.

Room was basic but clean, however one wall had staining, another had filler patches.

The area the hotel is located in is rough and there were a couple of areas immediately around the hotel where cars had clearly been broken into. It certainly doesn’t feel safe at night.

On the plus side the staff were all fantastic!

Noisy hotel in Warrington, next to a busy road and you can hear the traffic all night. On the other side you get a very early wake due to noise from delivery wagons and bin lorries.
I requested a repair on first night of the toilet, broken flush buttons and continuous water running after flush. I requested a basin plug. Nothing done.
In the restaurant food took ages to arrive, sometimes some items delayed further from our groups members.
On billing items listed but getting an itemised bill seemed impossible to find.

Never again, stayed at Reading hotel, single glazed windows so could hear traffic all night, air conditionung broken so way too hot to sleep and no control of other guests behaviour, fighting, shouting and arguing from opposite room that carried in until 3am

An absolute S**T SHOW of a hotel, Penta IPSWICH, Quite frankly the worst hotel i have ever stayed at, no aircon, no cash purchases, card only, 2 draught beers, selling guiness from a can for £6, Staff were rude, condescending, unprofessional, the continental breakfast was a help yourself affair, the coffee machine took 3 minutes to make a coffee, i had colleagues make a sandwich for their breakfast decided they didnt want to eat it but put it in their bag for lunch rather than thriwing it in the bin and a staff member commented that we were stealing!!!! WHO THE HELL DOES that!, the company i worked for had paid in excess of £30,000 over the period we stayed there, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!!

There is also more to this but i wont go into it further as it would warrant a disclosure agreement!!!!

Ich war am 21.09 in Brüssel für ein Konzert und wollte dann eine Nacht im pentahotel bleiben.
Ich bin nach dem Konzert um 23:30uhr in dem Hotel angekommen und dort wurde mir gesagt das ich ohne Ausweis nicht mein Zimmer bekommen es gab keine andere Möglichkeit. Ich hatte alle Bestätigung von der booking E-Mail bis zur Kreditkarten Abrechnung.
Das hat den unfreundlich Herrn mit Zopf an der Rezeption wenig Interessiert also musste ich dann todmüde nach von Brüssel zurück nach Deutschland fahren weil ich keine Unterkunft mehr gefunden habe.

After watching a show in Reading, my husband and I decided to go for a drink afterwards. We have stayed at this hotel a few years previous and had had a great experience then too. Very friendly and knowledgable barstaff. Our server was Anna and she made the best cocktail for my husband and I had a 'Manchester tart' G&T. Her recommendation for the mixer complimented the gin perfectly!
What started as a quick drink became an evening where new friends were made and all with the help of attentive staff (Anna). I can't wait to go back.

Building work going on so woken with noise. The bathroom was like living in a hostel and when I opened my towel I was shocked to see a massive red stain??? Not sure if it was period, ketchup! Disgusting! No cleaner The next day and no toilet roll! Would I stay there again... No!

Pentahotel belastet beim Check-in die Zimmerpreise für den gesamten Aufenthalt plus jeweils 28 (!) Euro Sicherheitsgebühr pro Tag. Das wurde und wird nicht kommuniziert und es gibt auch keine Minibar im Zimmer. Da ich über Booking.com (nie wieder!) gebucht habe, hatte ich mir praktisch jeden Kommunikationsweg abgeschnitten. Booking.com verwies auf Pentahotel und Pentahotel auf Booking.com. So etwas habe ich noch nie bei einem anderen Hotel erlebt.

The most amazing hotels, all very stylish!

Habe ein Zimmer am 17.04.20 für 5 Tage im PENTA Hotel Rostock gebucht. Da ich in Prag wohne und nun die Ausreise wegen Corona Virus nicht gestattet ist, bzw. die Wiedereinreise nicht möglich ist, wollte ich die Buchung stornieren.
Penta H. berechnete dafür den vollen Übernachtungspreis für 5 Tage.
Das nenne ich 'kundenfreundlich'.
Penta H. wird mich nicht wiedersehen.

Stayed in Brussels, was amazing! Thought we would try UK-Birmingham, what a shame..such a let down.

war bis jetzt in einem Penta in Leipzig, Wien und Prag. Überall das gleiche. Saubere und schöne Zimmer. Tolles Essen, Super freundlicher Service in einer eher familären Atmosphäre.

Besonders hat mich das Konzept fasziniert auf Nachhaltigkeit wert zu legen. Strohhalme aus Nudeln sind auch definitiv besser als diese Papierstrohhalme die irgendwann durchweichen.

Das Frühstück war überall reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Jederzeit wieder!

Penta Hotel: Not a credit card secure Hotel

I have booked and paid one single room - one night: Euro 149,64. Fair enough.

Afterwards Pentahotels additionally charge (unjustifiable) from my credit card Euro: 618,56 for ... nothing.
This is obviously an error/fraud.

Pentahotels do not reply all my mails and do not take the phone.

DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL. Penta Hotel do not know how to take care of their customers credit information and they show absolutely no interest to get the matter solved.

Stayed in the Vienna hotel in Feb and promised the manager we would leave a review - Excellent accommodation and food , highly recommend.
