I ordered from PearWood because the impression is given that they are a US company, ship from within the US and delivery is made in 5-8 days. I ordered on September 7. I was provided an odd tracking number that didn’t align with FedEx, ups or usps. It took nearly a week before I could get shipping information, only to discover it is coming from Homg Kong! I immediately tried to cancel my order and get a refund. To their credit, their AI customer support responded immediately to let me know that I can’t cancel once it’s been shipped. Once it has been received I can request a refund…can hardly wait to see what that process looks like. In the meantime, I ordered from Polar Haircare, who ships via USPS from Ohio and who provides an update every step of the way.

Hello! Getting the formula to pump out of the bottle is a hassle. The last thing I want is hair coloring goop getting all over my white bathroom countertops. I could tell the first pump was quite tight ...the solution came out, but very awkwardly...the mechanics of the bottle doesn't make it easy to get into the hands.

I do like the color, alot! I selected black. My hair looks very natural and has a wonderful shine. Once I was able to capture the solution into my hands, lathering the solution into my hair was easy without gloves. I did rinse my hands right away so they wouldn't stain.

Love the product leaves my hair with a true color. I don’t have to keep on dying my hair no smell. I would re-purchase it again.

In my personal experience, I was very disappointed because I ordered a shampoo to cover my gray hair and maintain my blonde color, but it turned my hair red! Now I don't know how to get rid of this color.

I was a hairdresser for 27 years, and I always felt like I had to use professional color. I love, love, love this. It's so much easier for me. I have dark hair, and my grey shows so fast. I actually just use this around my hairline weekly, and it's been amazing. My hair feels amazing also.

The product did not cover any gray hair. When contacted the customer service it’s a loop. Your send message they reply asking for reason for refund.Once you explain the reason, it’s all crickets. Tried to get matter resolved but have reached no were. Buyers be aware I learned the hard way .

I’m reading these horror stories about Pearwood’s customer service, but for me, customer service was the ONLY positive aspect of my experience with this product. For the first 5 to 6 pumps, only the clear liquid came out of the container, so that was wasted product right there. When the color side finally began to dispense and I started putting the product in my hair, the pump stalled and stopped working again mid-application. Because the bottle failed to mix the product in the required ratio, the formula did not activate properly and failed to cover my gray. On top of that, the pump mechanism is not designed well, and it made a holy mess. I emailed customer service and notified them of these issues, and after sending them a photo of a squirt of the dispensed liquid on a paper towel and a photo of the nozzle, they refunded my money 100%, so props to customer service. Also, the website states that the product ships from Lawrence, MA, but tracking showed that the package came from China. Not impressed with that and I wouldn’t have purchased the product in the first place had I known that.

I’m very surprised that it worked as advertised. It was so easy but very gentle on my scalp. It’s been almost 3 weeks and I haven’t lost more hair. I usually lose hair after hair color.

I was nervous to try this product, but I am pleasantly surprised! It covered my stubborn greys and gave my hair a beautiful chocolate color (I used dark brown). A few notes, keep pumping until you get an even amount of the clear and colored liquid, lather it in good. I have longer hair so I used about 9 pumps to make sure it really deposited the color. Then I left it on for closer to 30 minutes. I will note that the shipping took much longer than expected- I ordered 8/27 and it arrived 9/14. So if this is a product you plan to use regularly, definitely plan for extended shipping times. One thing I noticed when I was checking the shipping times is that it was mailed from China? But online it says it was shipped from MA. Until I verify that, I won’t buy again although I do enjoy the product. If that is important to you, definitely verify. It could explain why shipping takes almost a month.

The product is very easy to use and provides coverage between my salon visits. While the packaging is visually appealing, the delivery system could be more functional.

I love this shampoo! I’ve been dying my hair for years to cover the gray and now I just shampoo and wait 15 minutes and rinse and I’m done. The color is so natural and blends with my natural shade. I highly recommend switching!

Itchy scalp. Did not cover my gray hair

Today was my first day Used the Shampoo, was amazing, is real, not quimicals , don’t smell anything, and don’t paint my fingers!!

This product surprised me in a great way, the color came out beautifully. I still have a hairline of gray but I like it because it’s my style of color. My skin is mature and so my hair color matches my appearance. ❤️ I’m super satisfied

It took me a few times to figure out how to use this so it gives best results. I tried firs like a shampoo but didn't get all the greys so the second time I used a dye brush and mixed the shampoo in a bowl and worked great.

4 stars ONLY BECAUSE I need a darker color. So now I have to buy the black even though I have dark brown hair. So I suggest buying a shade darker. The process is super easy and convenient and it really does work! I’m sure once I get the darker shampoo it will be 5/5.

The dark brown is more like medium brown and it did not cover all the greys. It’s been 2 weeks since I tried it and it looks like I’m overdue for the salon. I’ll try it again since I have some product left and keep it in for longer to see if that makes a difference.

The company replied to my review saying I should send them a direct message? There is nowhere to do that!!! I’ve already emailed customer support multiple times!! Such a scam!! Don’t buy!!

Update: they replied to this review, wanting me to leave my phone number and email on a public website. This just further the fact that they have absolutely horrible customer service. Also, they keep telling me to reply. You cannot reply to replies on reviews. Maybe they should just check their email.

The only positives is the product doesn’t smell or make your scalp itchy. Everything else about it is awful, it takes more than 3 pumps (at least 6) and after the first 2 pumps only the clear formula came out. None of my grey was covered, my hair wasn’t soft or glossy as advertised, and it did nothing for my overall hair color. All the time, effort, product and the cost and literally nothing. Do NOT purchase!!

I was skeptical but also desperate to find a hair coloring experience where I didn’t looked like an old woman with thinning hair - if you are brown haired or darker you know what I mean. The packaged was shipped from outside the US - skepticism deepens to I’d best try this on the weekend to fix any damage before Monday.
It WORKS!!!! Follow the directions- wash your ungloved hands before 5 minutes and NO dyed hands. I love it, my husband loves the fact it is gradient with the colored white hair and dark. Yes my hair is virtually snow white - very aging.
My only concern is they will stop producing the product. Shipping took a while but we are Amazon spoiled.
