Well I am not surprised to find a list of bad reviews for this company!!!
We also found the overall experience at best poor, if you are looking for an expensive stay in a dirty caravan this is the company for you.
If like us you were looking for a short get away in the UK I would strongly advise you save your money for next year and do the real thing and go abroad!!!
The entertainment at these resorts is non-existent!! the caravans are musky and dirty and the bedding (that we paid extra for) was dirty n smelly!!! all in all we were due to stay for 3 days 2 nights n we managed one night and paid to stay elsewhere and as for getting a refund forget that Park Dean will find every loop hole in the T&C to get out of paying, very disappointing. Save your money and don't give this cowboy company your hard earned money!!!!

This is an update on my previous review regarding my attempts to get a refund. After posting my previous review Parkdean replied and very kindly gave me an email address for Customer Relations. After contacting them I have eventually received a refund which was in line with their published terms and conditions. However along the way to a resolution I was told the refund would be £211, then £329, both of which in my opinion were not right. When querying the way in which the refund had been calculated I was told it was because the terms and conditions were in the process of being changed in Parkdeans favour. However I made the point that these new T's and C's weren't in force at the time of requesting my cancellation. Eventually I received a total refund of £399, which was what I'd expected. I wonder how many other customers have been offered incorrect refunds? There is a definite need for customer service advisors to receive considerably more training.

Just returned from a week at Nodes Point in
Isle of wight.

Positives: We didn't have one bad meal in the main clubhouse (and we ate ALOT). The staff in there worked their bums off and were very attentive. The children did a couple of organised activities in pool and the activities team were great. We stayed in a chalet which was a short walk from beach. Site was clean. Entertainment staff were super friendly and the outdoor cinema a nice touch.

Negatives were the chalet needed a more thorough clean as slight mold in our room (chalet 9), bathroom grubby and lots of dust and cobwebs under bed.
On 1 of the days we thought we could smell gas so called and left V/M with reception. They didn't call back until 24 hours later. Didn't seem to appreciate being told it's a bit rubbish not hearing until next day. Reception at Lower Hyde were better.
Could do with non slip mats in bathrooms.
Not great if you need to speak to CS as didnt answer.

TBH just happy to get away although Mums dog friendly chalet seemed pricey for what you got.

Would stay again.

I booked 2 caravans back in may for this weekend 16th july for 3 nights!When I booked over the phone I specified that the caravans needed to be next to each other as I am taking a group with Learning difficulties!This morning I had an email to Tell me where the caravans are situated and they Are nowhere near each other!Seeing as you can’t physically talk to anybody over the phone I had to talk to Somebody through an online chat,The first person I spoke to really wasn’t interested at all even when I had explained the situation so I started a chat through another Representative and even though he/she Was a little more polite they just said that they couldn’t help me as we are going tomorrow and it is too late notice bearing in mind that I only found out this morning where the vans were situated!!I also explained that if the vans are not together then I can’t go and take my group….still nothing they could do to help!going to be some very disappointed people!!!Basically as soon as they had taken my money they didn’t care,I will never book with parkdean again!!I was hardly asking for a Seaview,just 2 caravans together!!

We arrived on Friday 25th June and was directed to pitch F4, one of the Supersites. The grass on the left side of us has chewed up plastic and rubbish all over it where a mower had just mowed over it and the other side had a massive dog poo pile.

I rang on Friday evening to see if anyone could come sort it as

A. Its disgusting
B There were children playing
C I didn't want people to think it was my dogs.

I was told by Security (as they were the only ones answering) that it would be reported to housekeeping and cleared up

I rang back Saturday lunchtime as we were still not able to sit outside as the rubbish and poo were still there. I was told it would be put on the list of things to do

Still there Saturday tea time. Still couldn't sit out. I rang again, no answer from reception so I left a message.

Still not moved on Sunday. Rang again was told it would be moved.

We left this morning after a weekend cooped up in our caravan due to rubbish and dog poo.

I don't think that is the making of a relaxing weekend away which cost over £100

I raised a complaint and was offered £21 from my next stay and a round of drinks at the bar. That seemed to be a gesture, a small gesture, but still a gesture.
When the email came to confirm that it said
‘This discount is valid for holidays travelling during 2021 and 2022 and is subject to availability. This offer can only be used by you and is not available on holidays travelling during UK School or Bank Holidays. Your voucher must be redeemed within 3 months of this letter’ - on the 8th of July.
This meant we had 1 week in July and September to take it had to be within 3 months and not school holidays.

Is this fair?

Booked a caravan at SANDFORD Dorset, on arrival the so called prepared caravan was filthy, susposed to been non pet, we actually swept up a bag full of hair and gave to the inspection team, caravan was invested with ants, one of our people uses a life's support machine over night and woke to finds ants all over her machine, do after complaining AGAIN, we were given a bigger caravan,when we got there, the maintenance man was there,tiding up, we told him that the tv was not working, he said he would report it, 3 day's later still no television ( one of our family has learning difficulties) imagine a holiday trying to amuse a adults with no TV, after a while security turned up, couldn't fix TV, so say brought a brand New TV from a new caravan aledegly, inch thick in dust and still doesn't work, we came home a day early,even the staff couldn't say a good word about parkdean SANDFORD Dorset, and the prices they are charging, NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN, SHOWER OF poop and that's being polite

Have just returned from a 4 night break at Parkdean, Tummel Bridge in Scotland. We will NOT be back!
For anyone considering going to this park, please be advised that it is in an isolated location. 15 miles from Pitlochry and accessed via a twisting road which takes 40 minutes easily! Not ideal if you want to go there for a bar supper!
The crazy golf is a joke but now to the real reason for the 1 star review.
I worked many years in a senior role within the Customer Service sector so feel confident that I know what good customer service is.
We experienced a shocker with regards to customer care at the restaurant onsite. Based on this experience we had to make other arrangements to eat for the whole break.
A female working on reception and in the restaurant demonstrated rude behaviour with a confrontational and inflexible approach when being told that I did not wish to use the phone app to order and pay for food. I offered to pay, either by cash or contactless payment. This did not go down well. I do not expect to be asked “why do you not want to use the app?” It is irrelevant and, frankly, none of her business! I understand the premise of trying to encourage customers to use the app but a flexible approach is required, should someone not wish to do this.
Another couple overheard the conversation I had with this female. They were appalled and were of the same opinion as myself. Subsequently I spoke with a further 2 couples who also mentioned rude staff.
I suggest senior staff look at the sheer amount of 1 star reviews on Trustpilot and look at retraining the rude, uncompromising individuals which are in customer facing roles.
I have to say that the young lady who works in the fish and chip takeaway was, in contrast, a pleasant and engaging person. Perhaps she could train the others!

Booked a short break last night,reservation came back thro` email was incorrect and needed to speak to some one.Tried their general contact No.03301234850 only to be greeted with a pre recorded message saying line was closed & to use "chat on line".I do not have this facility so next step phone the resort I booked,after queing for ages a message back saying the office was closed(although their site says open 8.00am til 6.00pm).
The reason I phoned was to query "the balance will be taken automatically using auto balance collection you signed up for"I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THE BALANCE TO BE COLLECTED IN THIS WAY .
I made favourites on each stage of my booking & I now cannot retrieve any of them,the system just keeps hunting fo ever and aday.Obviously inhibited by Parkdean.Given the fact I wanted to pay the balance by a different method to the deposit this is highly inconvenient.
I can only summize this is the way Parkdean is trying to recoup some of it`s losses incurred during covid.
From this experience I can only look forward with intrepidation to our booked break.
ANYONE WHO BOOKS WITH PARKDEAN BEWARE AND WATCH OUT.

We have just returned from a long weekend break at Thorness Bay. I would have given a 5 star rating, but was let down by the cleanliness of our caravan. If I was writing a review on the cleanliness of the caravan alone, I would have scored it 1 star. By the time staff did attend the caravan after our arrival, we had already cleaned the caravan ourselves. All of the work surfaces were dirty, and there were sticky marks everywhere. Not at all what one would expect in the middle of a pandemic. That aside, the welcome we had on arrival at the park was warm and sincere. The staff managing text messages responded almost immediately. The caravan site was well kept and peaceful and in an ideal location for exploring the Island.

If you go to Parkdean and find your caravan dirty, then wait for the staff to come and clean it rather than clean it yourself like we did.

Thank you once again Parkdean. We had a wonderful stay, thanks to helpful staff.

Further to my review 4 days ago, I am still waiting for a call back from Parkdean resorts. All phone lines are currently down and have been for the last 3 days. Same last week.
I am awaiting a refund. I had cancellation insurance and still having to wait almost 8 weeks, that's if we get anything back.
Parkdean resorts are very quick to take your money and refuse to cooperate with refunds.
I have been on live chat twice. Both agents say they cannot access the refund process.
Be very wary when booking with this company.
If refunds are very slow coming, it makes one wonder are they going to go bankrupt

Really disappointed with parkdean have been with them many times over the year lovely holiday parks and great for kids booked to go on the 22nd may this year only a month ago and paid in full they have rung last week to say our accomodation we booked is now no longer available and we can have a refund or rebook some where else I had already booked restuarants for looe and polperro so have now managed to book with hoseasons I just dont understand how this happened unless they were offered more money

BEWARE DO NOT BOOK IF YOUR HOLIDAY GETS CANCELLED YOU DONT SEE YOUR MONEY BACK They cut you off on the phone apparently you get your refund after 28days shocking as it is as they take your money straight away we have been waiting longer then that still no refund AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS

on the 16th of April 2021 we arrived at lower Hyde holiday park with our 3 children 1, 5 and 6 years of age.
we arrived just after 4pm to no 38, Osbourne grove
our welcome pack and key was on the table inside as stated in a email prior to us arriving. we started unpacking the car during this time we noticed our 5 year old was walking out from one of the back rooms in the caravan holding a open clear bag of drugs (cannabis) and a packet of rizla's, i shouted and screamed in horror at him, i asked where he got it from and did he eat any, he was crying as he thought he was in trouble. i then took the drugs to reception and filled out a incident form on the 16th april 2021 at around 4:35pm.
I suffer with anxiety and depression and am currently with my doctors on this matter (doctors note can be provided) this was our first holiday in a long time and it was absolutely ruined. the staff moved us to another caravan and said it would be checked before i entered. I then went in to check for myself and founds other items under beds etc.
i had to keep checking over and over again incase i missed anything, we didn't let the children play alone in any of the rooms or outside unattended. the next day the alarm kept going off and i was afraid it was the monoxide alarms so i contacted the security team on the 17th April 2021 at 8:34pm. the security checked the alarms had power and i was told to keep an eye on these and to contact them if i needed.
our holiday was ruined right from the start.
(*****UPDATE*****) Due to the park moving us to another caravan, that is classed as being dealt with. Customer service is appalling

Really bad customer service, currently attempting to change my booking due to COVID Restrictions, I stared at 9:07am this morning it now 13:01 and I have still on hold!!!! 1st tried calling, automated message 'phone lines are not currently working' 2nd tried Live Webchat took over an hour who tried to move to me to most expensive caravan and in the end just gave me the complaints email! 3rd attempt on Live Webchat again tried to charge me £20 more than advertised on the website, she would no honour the pricing and told me to call the contact centre, I advised the line are not working , only to told 'Yes we are aware there is an issue the lines' don't press an options just hold to speak to someone, I have now been on hold 1 Hour and 20 minutes and still only at position 10!!! they really have you over a barrel WILL NOT BE USING PARKDEAN EVER AGAIN, disgraceful - too many companies now a days blame COVID

Update - just got through further 31 minutes on hold - to be charged £40 to move my booking even though we were unable to travel due to mixed families plus an extra £20.00 price increase to move to 2022.

This original Sun holiday in 2020 at £84.95 which had to be moved 3 times for COVID now costing me £269.00!

Terrible customer service and policies by this company.
I made a booking last year for two caravans to celebrate a friends surprise 60th birthday weekend in April and paid in full. Since restrictions have not lifted the parties who are from four separate families will all be unable to attend due to non-mixing of families being allowed. I expected to be told that there would be a cancellation fee of around £30.00 which is what another friend paid and lost. Call centre informs me that I cannot have have any refund. Only an exchange of dates or vouchers or I can purchase other caravans at more expense for all families. Therefore the total cost is now £460.00 with no option but to be held prisoner to there offers or lose all funds paid. Movement of the date is not an option as my friend cannot move his 60th birthday due to it being a surprise.

I would not recommend to anyone in the future

Update company will not move on a reasonable refund and have taken all the money and press ganged the holiday makers into takinmg a booking dated next year. N o one really wanted it but its all we were able to get. How the directors of this company sleep at night is beyond me. The worst holiday company I have ever dealt with. I would advise giving them a wide berth at all costs as they will take your money and return nothing with no lack of regret at all

Booked a holiday caravan online and paid a deposit. Tried to pay the balance but my booking reference was not recognised. Could not find the "chat" service so I tried calling them. Spent 3 mins listening to crap before I got through to the actual number and was then told that I was 8th in the queue - hung up. Tried another number, spent 3 mins listening to the same crap before getting to the actual number and was told that I was 17th in the queue - hung up. Guess that we will not be going to Parkdean this year or any other year for that matter. - This original review was posted on 19th March, it has taken till 28th April for a response - I rest my case. I have now realised that the original deposit was not recognised by Parkdean who then cancelled the booking, I have therefore had to ask for a refund as the deposit was charged to my card. Stay away.

What has happened to the mountain of reviews which were posted last night? Regarding Parkdean resorts

I have been on the phone to Parkdean for the past 2hrs. Managed to get to slot 1 and then was cut off. Very annoyed, especially when the pre-recorded message says they want to maintain 'high levels of customer service'. I would book online, but I was trying to book a few caravans and therefore wanted to speak to a HUMAN. very disappointed.

Went onto live chat .It is not live it's a computer and a total waste of time.

Have been with this company twice for holidays and never had any issues with them - very good service.
