Heard about Paisley Freight from my…son-in-law
Heard about Paisley Freight from my son-in-law, (who uses them all the time) but was sceptical as they were the cheapest by far for my item. It was very easy to book online, they picked up the item within the specified time period, & the item was delivered on time. I was also very pleased that they use APC couriers & not some of the others that tend to be “less gentle” with the goods they carry 😉
Booked a collection
Booked a collection. Was given a 2 hour expected collection time. Was in my garage getting it ready for collection. They rung my doorbell and 60 seconds later left. It takes me that to walk from my garage. After speaking to paisley freight the supervisor is rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend

I recently sent two bikes with them via their courier partner. I couldn't believe the damage that was inflicted to both bikes on separate occasions. I seen photos of the damage and I must admit it was shocking. The bikes where properly packed up in bike boxes with internal wrapping for more protection. I have sent bikes in the past with no problems until now. Both of these bikes where practically brand new as well. One of the pictures it looked like the box had been run over by a lorry? That was bad enough but what was really terrible was the lack of support and negative responses from them about trying to resolve this or indeed make a farcical claim through their so called insurance, it looked liked you had a form to fill in that asked everything from you which wasn't really all that relevant in my mind? My feeling is that this was to put you off claiming (maximum £100)? Anyway shocking service from them recently and would never use them again.
Terrible company stay away I paid for…
Terrible company stay away I paid for an exhaust to be delivered to my home address I ended up collecting it myself from the courier as they would not deliver it and then Paisley freight try to send me an invoice for an extra £40 because I sent a email saying how terrible the company was. Stay away from this company, it is absolute waste of time horrible people to deal with and they will try and rip you off at any chance they can get

Extra charges and good ransomed!
Company can only communicate with email & no dialog at all with a person. Followed booking instructions but packaged 4 wheels in 2 boxes rather than 4 boxes. System allows this to happen, packages collected and then held to ransom unless surcharge paid to have goods released. Could question why the extra cost when goods took up same space and weighed the same in transit - but mainly annoyed with the goods being ransomed for the surcharge. Did refer this concern to the company before leaving a review but it was clear that not one single toss was given.... I would NEVER book with this firm again
Delays, Excuses over promising
Sent several different parcels via them who use APC to pick and delivery and each time collections are delayed running into 2 to 4 days which is totally unacceptable. They wont accept any fault and dont reply to email until u chase them. Trouble is you cant phone and speak to anyone there as nnunber given and they hide behind the fact they are just merely a name and not a transport company, they use a 3rd party for shipment. Wont use them again, poor customer service.
Absolute shambles
Once a decent courier for large parcels, now a joke.
The last parcel I shipped with them was the final straw for me. I ticked the box saying the parcel would be unboxed which I think paid a premium for but it is what it is if thats whats necessary for them to handle with a little care. After a couple of days I received an email saying I had to pay a £20 fine for the parcel being oversized to which I contested and had proof; they dropped the fine claiming it was a "mistake", no it was a shakedown. Fast forward 2 days and my ebay buyer is complaining about why his overnight parcel hasn't arrived 5 days later so I had to chase Paisley Freight to which after several days of messing about they admitted my parcel was absolutely smashed to pieces = £43 lost for them to destroy and not deliver my parcel and eBay customer understandably disappointed

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. Communication was spot on – clear, prompt, and professional throughout. Everything was handled efficiently, and the whole process was completely hassle-free. Really impressed and will definitely use Paisley Freight again. Highly recommended!
Absolutely terrible service - avoid
This company is an absolute joke - it took TWO weeks for my wheels to arrive, first, they were late to pick them up then had the cheek to charge me £10 to rebook.
After rebooking, guy arrives saying the van is FULL and he’d back (what’s the point in that?) comes back later so then of course the wheels aren’t out for next day, they’re scheduled to arrive later.
I call up APC the next day to track the wheels only to be told one of them is MISSING. I wrote an email to Paisley who didn’t respond, so I was left to do THEIR work by calling APC head office back and forth trying to see what the hell is going on.
I was then told the missing alloy has been located and all 4 would be with me the next day before 12pm.. did that happen? No.
I had to reschedule for them to be delivered another 3 days as they don’t deliver on weekends and I had already taken 3 days off work to wait for them to arrive.
They eventually turn up two weeks after taking days off work, rescheduling the garage who was going to fit them and emailing Paisley who have the WORST customer service ever.
Staff at APC were lovely, they know how to run a business, Paisley needed me to email them 4 days after the initial email to remind them I had emailed before and their admin staff aren’t professional either, correspondence is beyond awful.
All in all, terrible experience and I’d never use them again nor would I recommend them which is a shame - I’ll have to find another company.

Absolutely perfect. Booking the collection and delivery was easy and the service was good value. The wheels were collected at the earliest opportunity on the specified date and arrived with the buyer the next day.
Cannot fault the process and would not hesitate to use Paisley Freight again.
Highly recommended.
Misleading Charges & Unethical Practice – Avoid
I booked a tyre delivery through Parsley Freight, carefully inputting the correct measurements. I even measured the tyres with the collection driver watching, to avoid any issues — I’d paid for the service and was committed to then seen bad reviews which is why I went to length to ensure it was done compliantly. Hindsight, maybe I should have check reviews first.
Today, I received an email saying my item would be delivered between 9:56 and 11:56am. But at 10:14am, with the parcel still 6 stops away, they emailed again saying the item is now on hold due to “size issues” and that I must pay an extra £40 to release it.
Let that sink in: they’ve actively stopped the item while it was out for delivery and are now holding it hostage unless I pay more.
Worse still, had I selected the unboxed option with larger measurements, the total cost would’ve been £33 — instead of the £49.99 I already paid. So now I’m paying more, and still not getting the service I was promised.
I sent a formal complaint — detailed, factual, and fair. (All while my items are still in the van being delivered)
They emailed me back still requesting I paid the £40 Surcharge.
I get an email from APC their partner to say items delivered.. ODD?
even though the shipment is complete, and the charge was supposedly a “release” fee. This confirms that the surcharge was never a legitimate condition of service but appears to be a retrospective and unjustified attempt to extract more money - Even after the job was done.
Avoid them at all costs — this is nothing short of a scam.

Ensure your parcel is exact size
WARNING: ensure your parcel is EXACTLY the right size. I ordered a delivery of a pedal bike and an option from Paisley Freight is for them to send a box and packaging to you first. That is the red flag I missed. They will use any opportunity to make more money after drawing you in with the low initial delivery cost. If you supply your own box and it is 1cm, yes one centimetre, larger than the maximum permitted then the parcel will be held and a charge levied. At this point you have to pay (this charge is not specifically stipulated at booking so can really be as much as they like) or you can have your item returned (also at a cost). So you're effectively held captive and they know that, so can levy almost any charge they like.
Note that they do warn you not to be oversize but we are talking about 1cm on a 160cm size. That is within tolerance to any reasonable person or company. Unfortunately Paisley Freight are only interested in immediate revenue not return business. I shall not darken their door with my business again.
Buyer beware.
Completed destroyed they couldn't care less
Like others charged me extra for oversized which I had measured and I'm sure I wasn't any way paid the extra £20. Item arrived at customers completely destroyed. Custom made item. They said tough it was restricted list. Which it wasn't at all they just decided to say it was a bumper which it wasn't. Rude on emails. Cost me£400 for a small business as have to make another product could cost me my business totally disgusting.
Damaged product, no accountability
I purchased the bike box and packaging in addition to the courier service, to transport a new bike I had purchased from up country.
I also purchased the increased insurance, for full peace of mind that the bike would arrive undamaged and if not, I would have insurance in place to pay for the repairs.
The bike was packaged securely, but was unfortunately still damaged during transit, squeezed between heavy items I suspect.
I provided photos of the damage but without consulting any particular insurer or loss asjustor, they decided as they could not see 'specific marks' on the box, they would not be held responsible and would not take my claim any further, despite a number of repeat attempts.
There is no complaints process, there is no arbitration, it is just their word is final.
In light of this, I would strongly encourage you to research other couriers, who 1) can transport your item safely and 2) just as importantly, deal with you in a reasonable manner in the event that something does happen whilst they are transporting your item, particularly when you have insured it for this specific scenario.
I have learned my lesson and will steer clear in future!
False Oversized money grab charge
Measured a car roll bar (120cm x 35cm x 20cm) and when entering dimensions I over measured and said it was larger than it actually was and it got collected and update said out for delivery and then get an email saying it's over their max size restrictions even though their website allowed me to enter it fine and said it was under their size restrictions and need to pay £20 to release it when the original cost was £28 so nearly double now even though it's within their size limits by quite a lot so it's now cost me £48 to deliver.
Used loads in the past for car items and wheels but now they're bigger and greedier so won't use again and will share this across all the forums I'm in to avoid them in the future
