I placed an order on 2 August. Most of the items were received, with the exception of 2 pieces of equipment. One being from Camec.

I received an email on 19th September explaining that the delay in delivery related to Camec being acquisitioned by another company, but they are “working closer with Aussie Traveller to get the order moving quickly”.
As I need the equipment 2 months ago, I’ve been trying to contact them for a refund, but they have turned their phones off and fail to respond to emails. So I am left waiting for delivery which will be God knows when.

Meanwhilr, I notice they are still selling Camec products, so does that mean I am not the only one waiting endlessly for my order?

Poor form Outback Equipment. At least have the decency to have a receptionist taking calls, rather than effectively ceasing communication when the going gets tough. It’s a bit like sticking your head in the sand, and letting your valued customers down.

Ordered sidewalls for my tent back in July 2026. Was told out of stock, waiting for supplier to send stock, and my order will be sent out as soon as it arrives. Got an update start of September saying still no stock. Haven't heard anything since after sending numerous emails. Tried to call. Phone line msg says temporarily shut down. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THESE GUYS. Hopefully I can save other people from losing money like I have.

Outback Eqipment is a scam the product we ordered was not vailable and they had no idea when they could supply. But they aaccepted our money. They advertise huge stock but they canot supply it. A refund was promised but didnot arrive they have now shut down their phone lines and being investigated bu zip Pay .Dont buy anything there

Absolutely the worst company I have dealt with. I ordered a wifi extender 4 months ago and still haven’t received it. Sent numerous emails with no reply. Can’t contact them as they have shut down their phone lines. These guys are scammers and I suggest you spend your money somewhere else

waited four months for my item before asking for a refund ,and its been over 2 weeks and refund still in the accounts department apparently, I feel this company are running this business into the ground. out of 50 reviews 48 one star, upset clients that will not purchase from them again, and warn others not to deal with them, surely this company will be no longer in business very soon. waited 50 mins on the phone to be answered, no reply to emails.

Ordered a new fusion stereo for my boat as they said it would be despatched within 6 days, 7 weeks later still no stereo and they won't answer phone or emails. Happy to steal your money and not supply

These guys are not trustworthy. They don’t have things in stock when they say they have, their 1300 number says they are temporarily not taking calls, etc, etc. Don’t waste your time and money on these people.

I ordered parts for a DO35 hitch, ordered from them because they said parts were "in stock". Had one initial email and then nothing.
No updates in over a month now. I have emailed numerous times on all of their available email address, sales, service and support address now return my email blocked. Tried phoning numerous times and get no answer. Have now requested my money back through PayPal.

But now over a month time wasted and have to get the parts somewhere else.

Place an order 22/8/26, after 2 weeks it hadn’t been shipped, took nearly another week to cancel the order & I am still to the date waiting on a refund
This used to be a great company but now customer service is nonexistent

Do not deal with these online bandits ordered 10 crap pots received 6 after waiting 2 months no word on the other 4 they take your money but dont deliver

Placed two separate orders in August, both paid in full, and neither has been delivered. Delivery timeframes kept being pushed back with very little proactive communication — I’ve had to continually chase updates myself. With nearly $5,000 tied up in outstanding orders, I’ve now requested both be cancelled and fully refunded. Have been offered $30 as a refund. Very disappointing experience and communication.

Used to be ok, worst company now for customer service. Still waiting for a product since June and there is no one responding to emails or phone calls. Will never use them again and recommend no one else does.

BEWARE! This company as you will see by many other reviews sells items they do not have. After different delay excuses I’ve been asking for a refund also getting delay excuses. Shop elsewhere 👍

Buyer beware — months of waiting, no product, and a painful refund process

I purchased outdoor equipment back in July, expecting a straightforward delivery. Instead, the product simply never turned up, month after month. When it became clear it wasn’t coming, I had to chase the company repeatedly — countless phone calls and emails — just to get my money back.

The lack of communication and accountability made a simple purchase into a drawn-out ordeal. If you’re considering buying from this retailer, be prepared for potential delays and a frustrating refund process if things go wrong. I’m sharing this so others don’t have to go through the same stress I did.

Going to Supercheap Auto

Took the money. Didnt send the product. Received email saying order was "cancelled" (whatever that means). Refund never came. No replies to email or phone. Not recommended. Buyer beware.

⚠️ WARNING — VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE WITH OUTBACK EQUIPMENT
I placed an order with Outback Equipment back at the start of July and paid for the order, but unfortunately the order was never fulfilled.
After waiting and receiving no clear update, I eventually cancelled the order and requested a refund. I’m still waiting for my money back and have been unable to get a proper response or meaningful update from the company.
I’ve tried contacting them but have had no luck getting a clear answer about either the order or my refund.
I’m posting this review to warn other customers to be very careful before purchasing. Taking someone's money and then failing to fulfil the order or provide a refund or communication is extremely disappointing.
I would strongly recommend doing your research before placing an order with this company.

Still waiting on my order. It was meant to be shipped within 1-6 business days! 3 weeks on and still no sign, nor a tracking number.

Cant get ahold of them on the phones, or get a response via email!

No wonder on their voice mail and generic email response they make it clear they wont tolerate abusive behavior; they must get a lot of it due to their terrible customer service. I would never buy anything from them ever again nor recommend them to anyone!

Still waiting on an in-stock product from five weeks ago. Never replies, don’t waste your money with this company. They’re in for a quick buck/sale with no accountability attached.
