The magazines we received were good but…

The magazines we received were good but I wanted to cancel. I noted the renewal date in my diary as 22 October 2023, then I noticed money was taken from my bank account this morning. I received no email about renewal, and reported this to my bank as fraud for now. I sent an email to OKIDO and am waiting for a response. Be careful about auto renewal… especially when money gets taken out before the date in your confirmation email!!

Firstly, thank you for your feedback. It's a pleasure to hear that you enjoyed the magazine that our team works to create each month.

Secondly, and more to your main point, I'm sorry your renewal was a month early and so a surprise. Our customer care team have responded to your email and I can confirm that your subscription is cancelled and refunded.

In regards to the autorenewal, it is in our terms & conditions that our plans renew automatically. But you can cancel anytime and get a refund for the remainder of your subscription. I will talk to our team and work to make this clearer on our actual product pages on our shop.

Do not subscribe!

Like the other reviews the magazine is great but after 1 year of trying still unable to cancel the subscription. Have followed the cancellation procedure on the website and emailed but the money keeps being taken. Avoid a subscription to this magazine.

no delivery even after 2 months since annual subscription…

2 months since annual subscription paid. Still awaiting the first issue to be delivered in Germany. after following up, 3 weeks back was told that there was some royal mail strike and a replacement was ordered.....still waiting

Never subscribe to Okido!

Magazine itself is okay. But the customer service is a nightmare and they put you on rolling subscription without prior agreement and take your money without warning. I have never come across a company that will charge you automatic renewal without prior notification. Nor have I come across a company that does not allow you to cancel what you paid within 15 minutes of transaction.
It is a nightmare trying to contact Okido. The phone number goes to an answer machine. They do not respond to Facebook messages.
Reading the other review, it is apparent my experience is not an isolated case.
Be warned, never subscribe to Okido!

Update: in response to Okido's reply, I have never been contacted regarding renewal.

Magazine is great! Customer service? Nil.

Magazine is great. Recommended for sure.

However, customer service appalling / non existent.

My annual subscription auto renewed at £60 without my knowledge, but I managed to catch it AN HOUR after renewal.

OKIDO magazine never answered my many emails, but LUCKILY I had also lodged a point of concern with Paypal.

OKIDO never responded to me, even after cc'ing staff member emails into communications.

Paypal stepped in and refunded me, finding in my favour.

Be WARY if shopping online with them!!!

EDIT : note it took Okido 5 MONTHS to reply to my review 😂

Frustrated and extremely disappointed.

Fantastic magazine until you try to cancel. I have been trying to cancel since 2nd Nov 22 with no success. They just keep offering me a discount and when I say I still want to cancel they totally ignore me. They have taken the £60 subscription and I can't get it back. You cannot find a phone number anywhere and emails are ignored. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed. Nina

Unable to cancel subscription

I have tried to cancel my subscription for the past 3 years. I have emailed their helpline and every year they take £30 from my account. I'm now going to have to cancel my card. I have never received a refund and never get a response from them. Avoid.

03.12.22 Recieved my £90 refund and I'm hopeful that Okido will look into their automatic rolling contracts and cancellation processes as I do not like to leave bad reviews about any company. Ashame as the magazine itself is lovely.

Great magazine for keeping young kids busy

I ordered OKIDO in September, and was expecting the first copy in December. 7 days of December past but I didn't receive it. So I contacted them. They replied me in two days. And I received the magazine soon. I think you kind of receive your magazine of the month around 10th or something, not on 1st. I was very happy with the result anyway.

I'm just here to tell people who might have the same issue as mine, that you don't need to worry, this magazine and company does exist and they will respond you.

This magazine is great, my 6 years old daughter loves it. The activities in it keeps her busy. She can spend hours doing the colouring and cutting out and reading.

I love this magazine

I love this magazine, I love the ethos and the way it's printed. The recipes are brilliant, and my son loves the games. We've had 2 memberships to this magazine and been very happy with it. My son is 6 and I think he's starting to get a bit too old for it now, especially the puzzles but he still likes it. I'll probably get a membership again when my toddler is old enough for it
