At the bottom of the final order screen there is a blurb in crazy tiny print that says you agree to become a “member”. Then with no other acknowledgement or followup communication at all from them about this “membership”, they begin to charge you monthly for $18.33. Months later I finally notice the charges. They offered to refund two of five charges.
That’s their business model. I said I want it all back but imagine how many people they get.

If I could give 0 Stars I would. I've never been ripped off like this or automatically subscribed to a site that isn't cohesive at all. I can't believe the way they are getting over on people for now $18 per month. Hey Oak & Hearth, you should give your customers the option to check the "opt-in" box, but it seems you all have it already checked. So as soon as someone purchases anything they are automatically enrolled. 2 years of a subscription that was more than the initial items I bought from them for $10.

Ordered bag, had to contact them a week after the label was printed as there were no updates, they blamed usps like in other reviews, magically the day they responded it was finally scannable, and delivered to the initial usps sort facility. It arrived today, smells awful and the stitched label is completely upside down and it states it’s top quality! I would compare this to a $5 knockoff at a cruise port! Also, they have charged me for 5 months on my credit card as Oak and Hearth. Found these crap bags under 3 names on Facebook this week, but bags now show HongFu labels…..
Worst experience ever!
Worst experience ever!! I purchase 2 travel bags. The one liner teared on first use but because they will not exchange or refund after 30 days of purchase date, not when you receive it. Living in Canada it was after 30 days before i received it. I emailed and called customer service and more or less was told "TOO BAD". They also charge you a membership fee that if your not careful will charge you again. Would not ever purchase anything from them again.

I place an order on 27 Jun, received an emailing with usps tracking number, however, it states a label was created, never shipped. It is now 6 July, after numerous calls and emails, no one from this company has responded. I want the refund.

Ordered the travel bag then a week later received a confirmation for an order for "item" which turned out to be a monthly subscribtion they have automatically selected & the very bottom of the order you place - it appears on the order as priority processing "free" so it looks like they are processing your order faster - I don't know how this is legal - you have to then cancel the subsciption which they do not refund - they are deceitfully receiving $26 USD from each purchase (more in Australian dollars) per order. I usually check with Trustpilot or Product Review before ordering from sites on Facebook however I only read reviews on their post. It turns out they delete the negative reviews then block the person from reviewing again.
They lied to the BBB and to me
This is a followup to a previous complaint that had been closed by the BBB because the company lied and said they would give me a refund in 10 business days, and sent a screenshot of the email they sent me saying it would be refunded in 10 business days. 10 business days have passed and no refund nor any
message about my return. So I called and was told that I was not getting a refund "because the product was opened and damaged". There's no way it could have been damaged because I never used it. I opened the product to try and put on my trimmer
because the item description said it would fit a Ryobi trimmer. It did not. But I find it very shady that they lied to me AND the BBB by saying I would get a refund within 10 business days, but when I called, I am told "oh you're not getting it back because it was
returned opened and damaged." When they received the original complaint, they had already received the product and knew it arrived opened (I dispute it being damaged), so they lied. Now they are refusing the refund.

their website claimed fit Ryobi weed trimmers. It did not fit my trimmer, nor did it contain any of the promised adapters that one can use to fit their specific trimmer. I contacted the company and
got an RMA number, which was VZQ99HNS. I had to pay $22 for UPS to ship the item back to them. According to tracking, 1zx2f8720342418474, it was received on June 6, 2022 and was signed for by Karina. So far I've received no refund. First I emailed
them, with no response, and today I tried to call them twice. Both times, the automated voice said that all customer service representatives were too busy and I had to send an email or leave a voice mail. I did leave a voice mail but because I got no response to my email, I'm not confident that they will return my
call either. Convenient that they don't answer their phone.

I purchased a travel bag from the company and in three emails within 2 days of the order, nothing indicated that I had ordered or agreed to purchase or enroll in anything additional. Today I received a credit card bill with a charge additional to the product for "Priority Processing", a negative option type of arrangement that I did not select - and that has a fee that was not on any of the emails sent to me. In calling the company, it was explained that the "service" was free for two weeks, then charged to the account. Since I did not personally select to be enrolled in anything, I did not even know I had something to cancel. There are no refunds on this so BEWARE if you order anything from Oak and Hearth - I will not be ordering from them again.

The UV lamp I bought was junk. I got my money back for the lamp BUT I made the mistake of clicking "expedite my shipment" when buying at start of the pandemic not catching the micro print that this would allow them to start charging me a monthly membership fee which they will never refund. My purchase showed on my credit card as O&H but the "membership charges" were listed as a string of letters and numbers - why hide who you are? It's almost as if they are counting on people to not catch the charges on their cards so they can turn around and say "sorry no refunds". All very underhanded. Many complaints from folks online with similar experiences. Also reported them to the BBB for the good it did.

This company should be locked down for stealing. They are blatantly stealing peoples money. In very fine print that you cannot even see, they have an “opt in” button defaulted to “yes” on the check out form, and unless you unclick the box to “opt out”, you will be charged $12.74 monthly. This is deceitful and should be against the law. I pray that someone who has the capabilities will sue Oak and Hearth into bankruptcy. That is what they deserve for all the thousands they are stealing from innocent shoppers. ZERO STARS. They owe me $217. The owners belong in Jail.
Bad way to do business!
They have submitted a recurring charge of 12.74 on my credit card. After numerous attempts to contact, they told me that since I did not check a box in the fine print while ordering, they automatically signed me up for some sort of monthly plan which was non-refundable. I will never do business with this company again, nor should you. I will also file a complaint with the BBB.

They have submitted a recurring charge of 12.74 on my credit card. Not ordered from them since 7/2020 and I have tried to contact them by phone, but they donot answer or return calls saying its because of covid.
I see on social media that others have complained of the same recurring charge. My bank is looking into this. I would not recommend doing business with them.

I ordered a $27 pair of leggings on December 5th. It took over 3 weeks to receive them, and then they didn't fit. I was told to mail them back, but I had to pay for shipping & I would get refunded only 70% of the original cost because it wasn't in the original package. I told them it was mailed back in the original package & it cost me $15. She said that was their policy. I asked to talk to the supervisor & his name is Semaj. He was no help at all.
I sent it priority mail on 1/3/22 & I have not gotten a refund on my credit card.

This company is a SCAM. I already filed a complaint with the BBB on them. Ordered on December 4th. Got a shipping notice with a tracking number. It supposedly arrived at a USPS facility the next state over on the 13th. As of Jan 3, 2022 it is still there. I doubt that I will ever get my shipment. Do NOT order from this company.

Purchased something through them in July. Didn't know how but I approved a monthly charge for an "updated" service. I would get items faster than those who didn't have this service. Never bought anything else. Shame on me for not checking my credit card statement more closely. When I called them to find out what this charge was it was explained to me. I called on rhe 28th. I was charged again on the 26th. I asked them to remove that charge. The woman told me "they do not have the capability to reverse charges". I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said she was one in charge. I knew right there and then I was "SCAMMED".

This company is the worst I've ever experienced in taking advantage of people. I ordered one product last year and now a year later 11/5/21 mysterious charge of $12.74 was applied to my credit card by them. I left messages and email with no responses. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and claimed I'm responsible with no explanation?? Called again today (11/17/21) and spoke with a representative who stated I opted to join a membership to order from them in the future and to receive a catalogue. What?!?!!! I have no recollection of doing such a thing and neither would I! We receive catalogues from so many companies for free to order a free will. Why would anyone opt for something like this?? The rep was adamant and stated I probably had no memory of joining. Not good on their part. Whatever this "red dot" check off on their order form is you MUST BE VERY CAREFUL as it's in "FINE PRINT"! They are NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY and are taking advantage of such a clause. Plus think they can have free will to charge your credit cards directly without notification is a crime in itself. THIS IS A MANIPULATION of innocent buyers! Never again and will spread the word!

As I read others’ reviews, I realize they treat us all with no respect. I ordered the attachment for a weed wacker. Parts didn’t match our wacker. That was bad enough, but when the charge showed up on my charge card it also included a separate charge of $17.74. Every month I get another charge of $17.74. I researched on review sites and found out everyone seems to be getting this charge and call it a membership fee. I can’t think of any reason to have a membership to a company like this. I have sent three emails to their service department with no response. I called them and thought it was taken care of, but when I got my next credit card statement, there was the same charge. I guess I will have to cancel my card and tell their fraud department what happened to me and others and get a new card.
PLEASE DON’T BUY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY.
