I wholeheartedly endorse Nick Maycock. He conducted cataract surgery through the NHS and followed up with two private laser procedures to tackle posterior capsular opacification. His meticulous approach and clear explanations ensured I understood any concerns. I felt confident he would only proceed with treatment if absolutely necessary and no other eye conditions impacted the results. His serene demeanor is reassuring for anyone feeling nervous. The treatment costs were absolutely justified. Traveling to benefit from his skills was entirely worthwhile.

I highly recommend Nick Maycock. He performed cataract surgery (NHS) and two subsequent laser treatments (private) to address posterior capsular opacification. He is thorough, explains clearly what the issues are and I felt that he would not carry out treatment unless it was 100pct necessary and that there were no other eye issues which would affect a positive outcome. He has a very calm personality for those ill at ease. His treatments were worth every cent of the cost. I travelled a distance for his expertise and it was worth it.

Mr Nick Maycock performed totally perfectly both occasions and restored my eyesight far beyond my expectations. He is a true expert and is worthy of the greatest praise that can be offered. The company, which although private but engaged by the NHS, demonstrated true professionalism in every aspect and I would gladly involve them again for anything in the future.

Very professional and reassuring team led by Nick. 2 cataract operations with no problem or pain and good vision the following day and full recovery as expected within 4 to 6 weeks.

Mr Maycock is such a kind and gentle surgeon. He spend time with me explaining just what to expect plus what he would be doing during my left eye cataract. Also gave me time to ask any questions. During the procedure he was very gentle, and asking if I was in any pain or discomfort, which I was not. I cannot recommend him highly enough. It is only one week post op and my eye is healing extremely well.

Nick Maycock carried out cataract removal operations on each of my eyes In November 2024 and January 2025. The results were amazing. Nick was very attentive and supportive, spending some time with me before the operation, to explain the procedure and what to expect, and to reassure me. During the operation he continued to reassure me and update me on progress. The whole procedure was compteted in a remarkably short time. My recpvery was quick - when I removed the eye shield the following morning I could see perfectly. I felt in thoroughly safe hjands the whole time.

From the first time I met Nick he put me at my ease. He explained everything that was going to happen during the operation and answered my questions. when I was on the operating chair he talked me through each step as to what was going to happen next. There was no pain what so ever. Nick Maycock carried out his second cataract operation on my eyes yesterday. Both procedures were marked by his calm confidence and professional skill. The process was exactly what he had previously described and whilst I was not totally relaxed during the two events I was much reassured by his manner. Post operations my recovery followed the pattern that he had advised. With both eyes sorted I won't be going back to him but I'd very much recommend that others do so.

Mr Nick Maycock successfully completed cataract operations on my right and left eyes in January and February 2024. At all times, from the consultation to the hand over to the recovery team after the operations, he was professional, approachable, informative, reassuring and highly skilled.

I certainly felt I was in good hands throughout the process and was given all the information I needed to be able to give informed consent. Mr Maycock listened to any queries I had and was able to reassure me about the treatment on offer.

The consultation was thorough and I left that meeting feeling confident that I was going to be in good hands for the operations. The potential risks were explained but I understood and felt strongly that Mr Maycock was experienced and understood operations on eyes were significant.

On the day of the operations, Mr Maycock was relaxed, prepared and in good humour, that put me as the patient and, I believe, the supporting staff at ease enabling us to get on with our respective roles in my treatment!

The procedure was swift and ran smoothly. Mr Maycock explained what he was doing to reassure me and the atmosphere in his theatre was calm, happy and relaxed but definitely professional.

In both operations, the treatment was painless and my eyes were not even bloodshot afterwards which suggests that Mr Maycock is a skilled surgeon who took care of me, me eyes and my overall vision.

I am delighted with the vision I have as a result of these procedures and the care I received. It is early days for my second eye but I have already been very pleasantly surprised by the clarity of what I can see only 21 hours after treatment. I have had no eye infections in either eye, indicating to me that excellent aseptic techniques were used and the staff taught me what I needed to do to promote good healing after I returned home.

Thank you so much to Mr Maycock for this successful treatment and for giving me the monovision I requested and healthy eyes! I have the best of both worlds with good near and distance vision.

Nick removed my cataract with great skill and care, I felt no pain and he went to great lengths to reassure me as the procedure progressed. Under his guidance, his team of assistants were also all very kind and helpful. I'd go back for more but it was my second operation! All this was yesterday, today I can see clearly and feel no pain. My only complaint is that I can now clearly see the house does need redecorating and we have a lot of resident spiders.

It is now two days after my second cataract procedure and I am truly amazed to see clearly again. After the first operation, which was carried out carefully and efficiently, I was delighted, however, after the second operation, I feel that a lifetime of wearing glasses is likely to become a distant memory. I have to admit to being apprehensive about the procedure. Mr Maycock understood that taking time to summarize the procedure and to answer questions helped dispel my concerns. I am in awe of his technical skills and very grateful to him for his interpersonal skills. Excellent in every way.

I have just had my second cataract removed, by Mr Nick Maycock. (1st in July. 2nd on 13th September)
Having the new lenses, have made an enormous difference already!
Nick made me feel very comfortable. And Answered all my questions. The procedure was quick and painless. And at end he assured me, all had gone well.
