Very poor training
Extremely poor training. Facilitator just read complicated fundraising guidelines off the screen with limited or outdated understanding of the current fundraising context.

READ REVIEWS FROM 465 NAMED CUSTOMERS ON OUR WEBSITE
We advertised a scripted workshop about fundraising regulations and data protection. The workshop had nothing to do with the current fundraising context.
Laws and regulations are a complicated subject. Any workshop about them is talking about laws passed perhaps 20 years ago because of things that happened 30 years ago. Because it is about specific wordings of laws it is essential that it is delivered in a word perfect manner. Of all the topics we teach it is the topic least suited to an informal chat.
One of the reviewers on our website stated “I have sat through many GDPR lectures. Your GDPR training included the most practical information I have ever received.”
At the start of every workshop we invite participants to ask questions, clarify anything, disagree with anything or complain. We say if they find that the workshop does not suit them for any reason they are welcome to log off and claim a refund.
You did not raise any concerns during the workshop and nobody logged off that workshop part way through. If you had explained during or after the workshop that you had failed to read the advert and booked the wrong workshop by mistake we would have refunded you. We asked for your details via Trustpilot but you refused to provide them.
Mass SPAM email operation
NFP Workshops keeps sending huge volumes of SPAM emails. I have not opted in to their marketing emails. They have scrapped the email addresses from my websites.
They send emails from domains like nfpsend1.co.uk
etc
They claim to operate from an office above a hair salon in York and claim to sell training courses.
UPDATE 20 Jan 2023:
We are not a "charity, association, club, limited company or public sector email address". This business is crawling websites using automated software and sending SPAM to any email address it finds. No one here has subscribed to any mass marketing emails from this business. We operate over 280 websites, so yes, we are receiving huge volumes of unsolicated SPAM emails.
It should also be noted that many Trustpilot reviewers have also reported receiving large volumes of SPAM emails but this business has now flagged these reviews for containing "harmful or illegal content" - despite this being false. This behaviour is just another indication that they are untrustworthy.

EMAIL MARKETING IS LEGAL, AFFORDABLE AND EFFECTIVE. UNSUBSCRIBING TAKES 3 SECONDS.
We send marketing emails to workplace email addresses published online as public points of contact. We do not need prior consent. Publishing an email address online is soliciting emails. Emails received constitute solicited not unsolicited emails.
We never send emails more than once a week. Our emails contain a simple unsubscribe which takes only seconds to use. Our emails can easily be blocked by putting *nfpsend* into email software. People who claim to have unsubscribed already always have multiple email addresses and have failed to unsubscribe each of them.
One click unsubscribes would not work because so many staff are told never to click on links. Many people forward emails on and then unsubscribe from a different email account. We need to include a 7 digit reference to identify the original address sent to. The alternatives to marketing emails like brochures, telesales or Google advertising are unaffordable.
We know the law and we follow the law. The ICO describe our email marketing as “entirely legitimate”. The ICO helpline on 0303 123 1113 will confirm. More than 10,000 staff from charities, schools, hospitals and councils have booked workshops in response to marketing emails.
People come to review sites to hear what actual customers think. The posts on this page contain inaccurate comments and offer no workable alternatives. Customers and grant makers who have read this page think the comments reflect poorly on voluntary and public sector staff.
