Terrible terrible spammers. No excuse.
Their stock answer is that spamming is ok and they are a legitimate business. The problem is that no legitimate business spams. Spamming destroys any trust in your product before your trainer even turns up.
Stop it.
I strongly recommend that nobody either buys anything from these awful people or gives them their email address.
Update after their copy and paste comment...
What a revealing reply.
They admit that they take workplace email addresses from the web and use them for marketing. Then they pretend this is “solicited”. It is not.
A public work contact address is not an invitation to be fed into their sales machine. It is not consent. It is not a begging bowl for training spam.
They also say unsubscribing “takes 3 seconds”. Not in my case. I have tried repeatedly to unsubscribe. They still send me their worthless drivel. That is why I am here.
Their “not a customer” point is irrelevant. This review is about my genuine experience of their marketing.
I have reported them to the ICO. Let's see if the ICO is as enthusiastic about them as they seem to expect. I suggest that anyone else receiving spam from them without a reasonable option to remove themselves from their list does the same.
Their response is arrogant, grubby and absurdly self-important. Instead of taking the hint, they lecture the people they are annoying.
On this evidence, I regard them as shameless spammers with a rotten attitude to consent, unsubscribe requests and basic respect for other people’s inboxes.
I would not trust them with my email address. I would not trust them to deliver a training course. I would not trust them to entertain a soft toy.

1 star is too much.
Sick to death of being spammed, even on unpublished email addresses. I'll answer your expected response because you clearly miss the point that is being repeatedly explained to you.
Publishing a work email address online is not an open invitation for persistent sales contact. It is a basic requirement for public accountability and service delivery, not a blanket consent to receive repeat marketing from companies we have never engaged with. The ICO has been very clear that context matters. A publicly available address is not permission to ignore preferences or professional boundaries.
The position that “unsubscribing takes 3 seconds” misses the point. The burden is on the sender to behave responsibly, not on recipients to repeatedly clean up after unwanted outreach. If someone receives your emails across multiple addresses, that signals an issue with your list hygiene, not their behaviour.
Your argument that one-click unsubscribe “wouldn’t work” because some staff are trained not to click links is revealing. That risk is a reason to avoid sending unsolicited marketing emails in the first place, not a justification for more complicated opt-out processes.
You are entitled to market legally. But legality is not the same as professional courtesy. If your approach were truly welcomed, people wouldn’t be taking time to complain about it. The defensiveness in your message suggests a business model dependent on wearing down organisations rather than building trust with them.
A simple truth remains. When marketing activity repeatedly irritates the very people it aims to serve, it may be legal, but it isn’t effective. And claiming that negative feedback “reflects poorly” on voluntary and public sector staff is not a great look. Many of those staff are working under extreme pressure. Dismissing their concerns doesn’t make your case stronger. It makes your tone the problem.
RESPONSE: You still miss the point...people complain because they are fed up with spam. How you contact people is part of who you are. 20 reviews saying the same thing, many more won't bother, but still you won't listen...says everything about who you are. Shocking attitude!!

You can read by their copied and pasted comments when they reply to posts on here; that they are insolent; arrogant; obnoxious and a truly repulsive organisation.🤢
In the world of cyber security scammers; who trusts or responds to unsolicited emails? There is a way of going about things. It’s either; they don’t want to; they don’t know how to; or they are an unscrupulous organisation

Frequent unsolicited advertising emails to my personal (name at org) organisational email. Note the points made in previous replies from this company on earlier TrustPilot reviews. I'm not a customer of this company but they have chosen to engage with me and it's on that basis I feel able to leave a review. While the company states the marketing is within the law it is nonetheless disruptive (receiving emails at all hours of day and night). Would not recommend this company on the basis of these practices.

Constant spamming of my emails on a daily basis. Can't block as they simply use a different email address and send another one.

Similar story -- constantly getting unsolicited emails and unable to Unsubscribe. They also use many different prefixes for their email addresses, so it's harder to block the messages.
If I did have any interest in your workshops in the first place, any enthusiasm would be quickly lost by your annoying business practices.

Svar från nfpworkshops.co.uk
Spam, spam and more spam. No idea how they get email addresses but it’s a horrendous business practice.
(NFP workshops have responded to say I have never been a customer. They are correct, yet I still received over a dozen emails from them in a six month period.)

Svar från nfpworkshops.co.uk
I cannot say how amused I was to see NFP Workshops are now offering workshops on GDPR 😂😂😂
I have been blocking their email addresses for the past year or so and every week they invent a new address to spam me with... does that sound like the kind of company you'd like to receive GDPR training from? Fair enough, within the letter of the law they may not be breaking any rules, but they sure as anything know how to annoy a potential customer base!
The email address they are spamming in my work is our Safeguarding reporting email. Which is crazy. The one inbox you want to ensure is as clear as possible so you can deal with anything which comes in and I have over 25 variations of their email address blocked on that inbox! Ironically, to request the pleasure of them stopping this bombardment I need to give them more of my information to make it stop - madness. Their unsubscribe email address is a bizarre combination of letters and numbers and screams "burner account".
Avoid at all costs.
UPDATE FOLLOWING THEIR REPLY:
You can see from their response below that they do not deny spamming our charity's Safeguarding email account (thanks for that really unhelpful!)
You can also see below that they admit that if you block their emails (even over 25 times) they will simply create new variations of their address to continue their completely counter-productive bombardment.
As a business, when someone tries to block your email spam, do you really think the best thing to do is double down by sending more emails from slightly altered emails and domains? This behaviour is like a teenage boy who can't understand why the girl keeps turning him down so he blames her for not understanding why he is so desirable 😂
Maybe attending some workshops on abusive relationships would help me understand their marketing strategy?

They are an incredibly annoying spammer. You can read their explanation for why they have the right to spam.
Non-profits are trying to make a difference in the world with very little resources. Typically they are a volunteer staffed operation with no budget for dedicated IT or Security staff, and those precisely are the organisation targeted by NFP Workshops. Finding a legal loophole is no justification for such noxious conduct.
Thanks to community action, they have been kicked out by their hosting/email delivery platform and they have now fled to another provider from where they continue engaging in their degenerate activity.
PS: NFP Workshops, don't bother responding, as no one is falling for your "we are doing a favour for our victims" charade.

Sent an unsubscribed request 2 weeks ago for one of our generic work email accounts, but still receiving these emails.
Edit:
Because I didn't reply to their request for additional information within 1 hour... I must not be a genuine complaint...
I'm not supplying additional information as I do not trust what they'll do with it.
Edit2:
My review (nor most others) claimed to be a customers. Just that we're receiving your unsolicited emails and your unusual unsubscribe methods.
But also warning I'm anonymous counter claims you knowing I'm not a customer.
Given the attitude you display in your review replies it's no wonder I remain anonymous.
I have no other reviews because I've never before come across a company as toxic as yourselves.
Side note; Why must you edit your old responses every time a new bad review is added? Is it just to send us more emails?
-They have once again slightly edited their reply to spam me with more emails.
Edit3:
Over a year and a half on and they continue to amend their responses. This time seemingly taking the tactic of trying to offend or abuse. Or even shame me into removing my post.
My original review was only about unsubscribing, but they bake their opinions on all reviews into their responses to individual ones. They care only that their behaviour is "legal" and "legitimate" and nothing more.
There is no requirement for trustpilot reviews to come from customers, only that we've had a genuine experience with the business.
The 'reviews' on their own website are clearly actually just email replies copied and pasted to their website. (I'm assuming they're genuine)
-Didn't take them long to change their response... Get your story straight.

Regardless of the legality of bulk scraping and subscribing email addresses, the experience of unsubscribing from these emails leaves a lot to be desired.
Whilst I’m sure having to email the company directly is within the letter of the law, there is no good reason that any kind of modern email marketing campaign shouldn’t include a one-click unsubscribe link at the very least, if not a list-unsubscribe header in the email as well.

Svar från nfpworkshops.co.uk
They constantly send spam emails, without my permission and change the sending email address to get around people blocking emails.
They claim they are legally allowed to hold and use workplace emails. Legally they are not. I am going to report them personally to the information commissioner and my employer's legal department (a local authority) are also looking to take action.
Workplace emails are considered personal data if the email address includes an individual’s name, such as john.smith@ companyname.com. This is because the email address can be used to identify the individual and is used for work-related communication.

A lot of spam emails and no clear or safe-looking way to unsubscribe. When questioned, the "company" respond defensively with legal jargon and insist they have the right to mass spam organisations. "Workshops" appear to be script reading off camera, using outdated information. Avoid at all costs.

This company bombards my inbox relentlessly with unsolicited emails, despite my repeated attempts to block them. What's even more infuriating is their so-called "unsubscribe" option, which directs me to email unsubscribe1138298[at]nfpmail1.co.uk.
Not only is this an inconvenience, but it also raises serious doubts about the legitimacy of their unsubscribe process. Why should I trust sending an email to yet another obscure address just to stop receiving spam from them? It's clear they prioritise spamming over genuine customer service.
I strongly advise anyone targeted by this incessant spam to steer clear of this company. Their disregard for basic email etiquette and questionable unsubscribe tactics speak volumes about their lack of respect for potential customers.
A quick glance at the lack of standard professional information on their website really says it all.

Mass spam emails that I never opted into. Will never use these people.
They claim they have a right to do this - this may be so - but when I delete the email and block their address they simply email me a few days later from a slightly different address. Truly awful practice. The unsubscribe button, that I did not use until today, was buried at the bottom of a long plain text email I did not want to read so instead deleted and blocked the address. Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's a good thing to be doing - it's annoying and in my view bad practice. They also previously had the name and address of my employer in the response to this review. The way they're conducting themselves should be a huge red flag.
EDIT: You'll note that this happened in February of 2024, but for some reason nfpworkshops have been editing their response every couple of months (yet more communication from them I do not want).

Svar från nfpworkshops.co.uk
The spam, and the organisation's self-righteous responses to criticism of its unsolicited correspondence, tells you everything you need to know i suppose.

Svar från nfpworkshops.co.uk
So tired of the spam. I never opted in to any of these emails and block them each time they come through. They keep sending them from different addresses. I'm pretty sure the whole thing is a scam, as a legitimate business doesn't spam people constantly.
UPDATE: Every few weeks they edit their reply to my comment, and have stated that they’re legally entitled to send these emails. They’ve edited their reply many times and still somehow keep missing the point.
Legal doesn’t mean ethical. Why send multiple times from multiple different addresses? Allow people to block you if they want to without going through your time-consuming unsubscribe emails. At the very least offer a one-click unsubscribe button, although I shouldn’t have to unsubscribe to something I never subscribed to. Funny how I don’t get these apparently legal emails from any other business?
Don’t get so defensive if people criticise your allegedly legitimate business. Apologise and do better.
