I joined Nextdoor as I thought it would be useful to discover and share things about my local region. However, I have grown sick and tired of people constantly posting avout political and philosophical things, especially as they can lead to argumentative threads. They should get themselves onto X or some other social platform if they want to spout about things like that!

They do not stop sending me emails about ANYTHING, missed notifications, posts e.tc. Absolute parasite.

These people are shutting people's right to express their views or commit on this site, worker all are fascist? Shutting people voices.

Do not use this app as you will be inumdated with rubbish that is irrelavant and unuseful .

I have been on this app and i was told i was posting under a folse name and was restricted indefinatley .

nextdoor rules are no politics/no racism /no vebal abuse yet HOLME HALL chesterfield nextdoor is rife ,the leads do not censor it

Plenty of interesting information and lovely way to find out who your neighbours are far and wide.

The admin of this app are left wing and don't believe you should post political issues. As a community we should be able to talk about the things that are happening around us, stifling FREE SPEECH is wrong. We all have views and should be allowed to express them. Continually hiding people's posts is wrong. Recently I posted a letter that was hidden that post was commented on more than 25 times in the positive yet the admin see fit to hide it.

After quite a few years using my 'online' moniker, also my email name, I was suspended indefinitely for not using my real name. I never use my real name for reasons obvious to online savvy people. My online name has been in use since approx 2000 and is all over social platforms. Why should this one be any different. In fact the first part of my online name is a name a lot of people know me by...and thousands more know me as my full moniker...so I'll stick to speaking to my neighbours in person now. But beware, not a conspiracist, however there's a reason an online entity want your full name on show. Also, no I will never provide my photo ID. Not to an entity that I don't know who is behind!

A lot of reviews on here complain that they cannot delete their accounts with NEXTDOOR. Well all you have to do is post either, 1 you don’t like the mayor of London, 2 Donald Trump will be a great president, 3 You hate Cats,4 Labour Party are a disgrace, 5 Young children should not be given puberty blockers, 6 a man is a man and a woman is a woman, And anything that is against there left wing views. Any one will get you firstly suspended, and when your suspension is up, all you have to do is repeat the post and they will ban you for life. This is the experience of a few in south east London There are five people who are doing this and some are leads. They will soon experience KHARMA.

This company is a global set up that appears to be local and ignores all requests to remove data - be careful. I have made a complaint against them via Information Commissioner’s Office as believe the act in a fraudulent manner. The website is cleverly engineered to ignore and make it impossible to remove your data/ emails data. The only way is to go government body to assist.

Despite the company aware of these reviews they choose not to comment or acknowledge them. Shambles of a set up.

The site is rubbish. If they do not like your post it is removed. I am trying to leave it but cannot find the Unsubscribe option.

this company contacted me based on infromation they have which was stolen in a data leak from adobe over 15 years ago. I am aware of this because of the infromation they used to contact me which was incorrect at the time.

Do not trust them

Nextdoor use your data for unclear purposes and use every shady tactic possible to force you to give them more.

They don't respond to contacts, which is typical of a shady operation.

Ive now had two unsolicited emails for this pointless thing. Dont we talk to neighbours anymore? Do we need an app to do this? Looking at reviews Im guessing its just a money making advert/trade site .

Isnt this sort of thing covered by FB ,Instagram ,etc? I live in a village of 300 people, so far we still manage to speak to each other without a Smartphone. Anyhow you are in the bin and blocked fellas.

Nextdoor is good only from the Left point of view. If you have a Center, or Right point of view, this is not for you.

Signed up at the invitation of a neighbour but found the site irrelevant to me.
Just seemed to be a site full of adverts interspersed with appeals for lost pets/phones etc.
Removed the app from my phone but now wondering what will happen with my sign up details?

I got scammed by one of the users. No all neighbours are honest people. Be aware

App for Data harvesting to allow Police and Authorities to learn and use our views against us. Masquerading as a Local and seemingly Racist Moderators.

Pages and pages of small print easy to let them send invites to join in your name through the post to your neighbours before you’ve tried it out. Nextdoor gives the wrong impression unless you live in a built up area. I was getting useless recommendations that were 20, 30 or more miles away. The local uptake in a village is so poor as to make it useless. Then you try and unsubscribe and fight another battle. I find Facebook and other established channels like marketplace, Eventbrite, Gumtree and Freecycle work fine.

If this was America, nextdoor is where all the spineless, racist, MAGA cap wearing, conspiracy theorists would congregate, hiding behind their keyboards. A quick skim through gives a chilling and deeply depressing vision of The United States of Britain in 2024, where the Daily Mailers go to rant, frothy mouthed, about the fact that a *non-white* person was spotted on their Paranoia Doorbell, or that not being able to park their bungalow sized 4x4 in a disabled bay is a clear indication that the country is being run by woke tranny commy pinkoes etc etc.

As their pea brained hero would say: sad.
