Spalding centre - I am the resident parent and deal with ongoing issues with the centre. Jenny The owner is rude and unprofessional particularly. I have received multiple reports contradictory to actual events, raised this within professional emails she becomes rude and aggressive. Experienced her shouting at me when I have tried to raise anything at handover, not the experience a parent should receive from a professional (fortunately I now record everything) Still awaiting for some accountability for her conduct. I have escalated to NACCC 3 times as she doesn't have a complaint point of contact as per her policy, she threatens to terminate contact instead of taking accountability anytime you try to raise a complaint. After leaving DV this centre has been an absolute headache.

Avoid this service at all costs — especially if your child’s wellbeing matters to you.

I used The Family Tree Centre CIC, registered through the NACCC, to facilitate supervised contact with my one-year-old daughter. After paying the full session fee of £245.50 to see my 1 year old daughter (for 3 hours), I was told my visit was cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice — not because of any behavioural issues or safeguarding concerns — but over a sudden, unexplained £7.10 parking charge related to their own staff member’s vehicle. I had already paid my own £2 parking fee in full.

When I tried to politely and lightly question it via WhatsApp, they responded by permanently cancelling all future contact sessions. No discussion. No warning. No concern for the emotional impact on a very young child.

The owner, Barbara, made a personal and disproportionate decision that now stops a father from seeing his daughter — not because of risk or refusal to pay — but because I politely asked why I was being invoiced for a fee I was never informed about.

Parents deserve better than this. This is not a child-focused service. It’s reactive, unprofessional, and emotionally damaging.

I urge anyone considering using this centre — to think twice before trusting them with your child’s emotional wellbeing.
