We ordered an "elegant wool coat" from Murray and Hayes expecting a high-quality, structured winter coat. What arrived was a major disappointment. The fabric feels very cheap and thin, completely unlike the wool described and pictured .THE ONLY LABEL ON THE COAT CLEARLY STATES "100% POLYESTER". The tailoring is poor and the fit is completely off. Trying to deal with customer service for a return has been incredibly frustrating. The coat was returned on July 28th under their very complicated 30 day guarantee instructions, directly to the Chinese manufacturer as instructed, where it has been sitting at Customs Clearance at Yiwu Airport since 5th of August. Every attempt to get Murray and Hayes to do something about it has resulted in an email asking me to be patient. It appears this is a delaying tactic to ensure it falls outside Paypals time limit to request a refund through Paypal. This would be the worst experience we have had with any company and the most shocking display of misrepresentation of an article for sale we have ever encountered. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I ordered two pairs of "insulated utility pants" thinking they were going to be the same material as advertised on the website. What I gat was cheap nylon trousers which will now be returned or chucked in the garbage. DO NOT order from this company - complete Chinese SCAMMERS using an Australian company "Murray Hayes" as a front.

Poor quality material which did not match photographs. Whilst website claims 100% refund if not satisfied. This turned into a negotiation which ultimately required me to send the product back to China for a full refund or accept a30% price reduction to keep. Very poor.

DO NOT order from this bogus company!!! I ordered what was described as a pure wool overcoat. What arrived after almost 6 weeks was a hideous, corduroy jacket that has a label saying it is ‘100% Polyester’. The company markets itself as a Melbourne based boutique but is a drop shipping company sending out sub standard Chinese made garments. Usually I pride myself in recognising these scams but I was clearly having an off day! Learn from mistake and don’t order from them.

I didn't read the true reviews. What a gross misrepresentation of easy returns. Takes weeks to arrive and the sizes are not even close to those recommended.

Chinese scam. Not Melbourne based. Fake Trust Pilot score of 4.8. Clothes do not look like images online. Their mens sizing chart is wildly inaccurate.
I ended up keeping the 2 pairs of corded pants to wear around the house. It was going to cost me $50+ to ship them back to Chiiiina.
I negotiated a 40% refund and kept the pants.
You've been warned.

If I could give a negative I would. A dishonest offshore company. I cancelled my order but weeks later it arrived and the goods are nothing like the pictures with terrible quality materials used. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Do not buy from them. They advertise it like its decent quality. Its really bad quality. Their customer service is responsive but I had to constantly follow up.

This site is a scam, along with the fake reviews on their website - you will note that you can’t post a review there.
Purchased a men’s fleece jumper with Sherpa trim $89.95.
Instantly alarmed when payment showed as Newark US, then item subsequently shipped from China.
Item arrived after a couple of weeks and is a cheap shiny polyester type material clearly from some Chinese sweatshop not a boutique store front in Melbourne.
Have requested refund and after 3 emails they are only offering 20% - first offer was 10%.

They are advertising as a Boutique clothing shop located in Melbourne and charging accordingly but what you receive is a very cheap version and made in China. When you try to get a 100% refund as also advertised, they will only offer a partial refund if you pay to return the item to Asia. The only way I got a refund was through PayPal.

Firstly from what I can gather this is NOT an Australian company! It took 3 weeks for the item to arrive they are ill fitting and the product does not meet my expectations. So i requested a refund, they gave me lots of offers 10%, 20%, 40% etc. When i went to return the item is will cost me $39.40 to post it back to China. Absolute joke my request for a refund has been elevated so still waiting.

Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing – avoid buying from this company.

The website is very misleading, giving the impression it's a Melbourne-based store. In reality, the products are shipped from Asia.

I purchased a jacket, and when it arrived it looked nothing like the photos. The fabric is completely different. The images show what appears to be a cotton or similar material, but the jacket I received is made from corduroy and is of very poor quality.

When I requested a refund, I was told it would cost almost as much as the jacket itself to return it internationally. Instead, they offered store credit.

Given the poor quality of the product, I have no interest in exchanging it for another item. Read the reviews before making any purchases from this company!!

They get one star only due to you need to put something there or other wise it would be a negative numbered score for all the same reasons everybody else who’s had the misfortune to have purchased from them.
A complete scam.

Complete scam. 6 weeks delivery - would have been longer if I hadn't threatened fair trade. No customer support. Clothing quality..you could spit thru it. Any embroidery promoted is sublimation. Hope I've saved people from making a garbage drop shipping purchase from Hong Kong.

Complete Chinese based scam. Stated Melbourne, Victoria Australia, but just awful, cheap, badly made products. Avoid like the plaque. Bought 3 items, shoes, corduroy pants and tailored jacket, which is a tragic joke. All hideous and nothing like items displayed. So I'm down $200 AU plus for nothing. I'm so mad. Update, reported website to ScamWatch gov, Instagram, Facebook and banking systems.

Two polyester shirts arrived, not the quality you see on the website. Took 3 weeks to arrive, the Melbourne store front is a complete scam. Still arguing for my 100% credit and returns label, been offered 10% and 20% refund and to keep the shirts. Just want my money back!
