I cannot recommend Mr Smyth highly enough! My daughter achieved a Grade 5 in her maths mocks. She found her class teacher’s instruction confusing and, as a result, had become unmotivated and lacked confidence in the subject.

Within a year of online tuition with Mr Smyth, she has achieved an incredible Grade 8 and is just one mark away from a Grade 9. On her school’s recommendation, she is now having her paper remarked.

Mr Smyth’s clear explanations, flexible timetable and access to recorded resources have made such a huge difference. He is incredibly passionate about maths and genuinely cares about the progress and success of his pupils.

I have worked with Adam for only 1/2 months to boost my maths before my GCSEs papers as ive always struggled with maths. Math's is one of my daughters weakest subjects so when she asked for extra tuition for her GCSE's I did a lot of research into the various online tutor's. What made me decide Adam was the fact he does three online lessons a week so you can choose to attend how ever many you want, plus we paid extra for the English lessons too. On several lessons I sat in on the lesson and found Adams way of teaching worked really well, he explained fully what he was teaching and encouraged anyone who was struggling to make it known so he could help them. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Smyth's Maths. And thank's Adam for all the support over the months.

Adam has been working with our son who lacked a lot of confidence in maths and had quite a few gaps in knowledge to fill. He's been to three sessions a week with Adam since Year 9 and has now just finished his final maths GCSE. He's not been worried about them, has seemed confident and I'm sure this is down to the fact that Adam has explained things clearly, done walk through papers, and covered everything in detail so that the papers haven't felt daunting. We can't thank you enough!

My daughter has only been accessing this service for a couple of months and her confidence is starting to grow. I felt a bit overwhelmed with all that is on offer with it all being online but the 'onboarding' section talks you (and your child) through it all so clearly.

Adam is absolutely brilliant with children. They get engaged and are focused. Explains things easy and understandable. Can only recommend!!

So i never usually leave reviews but this ones totally deserved. My daughter started with Adam the end of January after getting a 2 in her maths mock, today we got back her recent mock and shes jumped up a whole grade and in touching distance of a 4 now. Adam is a fantastic teacher and the weekly sessions my daughter really enjoys. You have the freedom to join as little or often as you like across the sessions relevant to you. My daughter has ADHD and has coped really well so far on 2 sessions a week but soon we will move to 3 sessions. Can't recommend enough if your looking to secure that maths pass Mr Smyth maths is the way forward.

Adam Smyth has been awesome from the beginning. My son has clicked straight away and is doing so much better in his maths and English and I am forever grateful for the professionalism and service and help that Adam has shown. Adam first supported my son who had always struggled with maths. He worked wonders for him. My son never enjoyed school but having Adam to support him helped his confidence. His comment to me was no-one has every explained it the way Adam does and it's so much easier for me to understand. Adam currently supports my daughter who is flourishing with her maths. She was reluctant at first but since joining the lessons she says he has helped her so much. I can't thank Adam enough for supporting both my children with there maths.

Our daughter is finding Mr Smyth’s maths lessons and resources extremely helpful. She is homeschooling and the opportunities to take part in live lessons, use the recorded lessons and use the shorter videos as a lesson warm up or reinforcement are really valuable. This offers flexibility in how she wants to study maths each week as well as a structured timetable of lessons for the whole academic year so that every topic is covered.

We have only just started with Adam but so far it’s been great. Fantastic communication and my son is actually benefiting from it, I’m definitely feeling more confident about his GCSE’s next year!

The tutoring is online and the option to turn cameras off gave my daughter the confidence she lacked at first. Groups are lovely and small and so affordable! Mr Smyth completely understood my daughter’s ADHD needs and anxieties. She was predicted a 2 in her mocks and came out with a 4! Now she’s off to College without having to face resits and is the happiest we’ve seen her in years. Choosing Mr Smyth is a no brainer!

My son joined Mr Symth’s online group classes to prepare for his GCSE Foundation Maths, and the difference they made was incredible. He had always done fairly well with maths but lacked confidence. The online group setting worked really well — he enjoyed learning alongside others and felt supported every step of the way. It meant he could work without a focus directly being on him.

Mr Smyth explained concepts clearly, kept lessons engaging, and always made sure everyone understood before moving on. The classes were well-structured, focused on exam topics, and gave my son plenty of practice in the areas he found most challenging.

Over time his confidence grew, and by exam time he felt prepared and capable. We were delighted that he passed his Foundation Maths GCSE with a grade 5 and he was really proud of what he achieved.

I highly recommend Mr Smyths tutoring when we started my son was achieving a 3 in Maths and after only 7/8 months of sessions with Adam he passed his Maths GCSE at a grade 4 and only marks 5 off of a grade 5. Alfie said himself without Adams tutoring he doesn't think he would have passed and he found the sessions enjoyable aswell! Thank you Mr Smyth!

After achieving 4- in her year 10 maths mock exam, my daughter’s confidence in maths was quite low. We heard about Mr Smyth through word of mouth and I was so glad I signed her up. My daughter liked how the classes were delivered and the flexibility offered on days. My daughter joined Mr Smyth Maths classes to boost her GCSE learning. Maths is a subject that she has struggled with but the extra lessons really helped her get the grade needs to get into college.

Being able to join as many classes as you like each week, or revisit them on Dropbox was a bonus. She found the pace of teaching easy to follow, and actually found herself enjoying maths.

Was lucky enough find Adam ( Mr Smyth ) as a Maths tutor for our son. So glad we did ...he went from working towards a grade 4 to achieving a grade 7 !!!
The price friendly , small group tutoring sessions with tons of free resources and classes that are both live and recorded ,Meant my son could access topics when convenient and go back over subjects as needed.
