Rude Management
One evening during the month of May 2021, I bought €90 worth of takeaway cocktails from Mrs Croghs. They come in jars and are very trendy looking. Then we noticed an unopened drink and a spider in it! As you can imagine, we were put off drinking the rest of the order. The next day I made contact with the Facebook page for the establishment and told them what happened, and in fairness someone from management called me that evening. For the purposes of this review, i am going to refer to the two members of management as “management contact 1” and “management contact 2”. Now, I always like to give the benefit of the doubt, so I really appreciated when management contact 1 rang me to apologise and and tell me they were reviewing their process to make sure it won’t happen again. Management contact 1 then offered me a €100 voucher as a thanks. I love when a business tries to make things right with a customer.
Fast forward to the 10th of September, and I asked management contact 1 could I avail of the voucher. Management contact 1 informed me he was no longer with the establishment, but that he had spoken with management contact 2 about it and management contact 2 had agreed to honour the voucher. I rang management contact 2. No answer. I text management contact 2. He read it, but didn’t reply. I called into the establishment 3 times asking to be issued with the voucher, and each time I was fobbed off by a member of staff saying there was no one there that could issue it.
On Saturday the 23rd of October, I text management contact 2 again, asking for the voucher to be posted out to me. Again, he read it but didn’t respond. Finally, today, the 24th of October, I text again.. and management contact 2 blocked my number! Absolutely disgraceful treatment of a customer. I feel I at least deserved a reply. If he wasn’t going to honour the voucher, he could have text me or called me and said the person that offered you the voucher is no longer here - or something at least!? But no, he didn’t even treat me like a human being. So rude.
