I bought the mondaine essence last year because I was looking for something simple. In the end, the customer service advised me well, so I decided to buy the watch. The watch is classic, eye-catching and reminds you of a train station clock. A beautiful watch. What's more, it still works after a year. I would definitely recommend it

My Mondaine giant watch with backlight is my favorite one! Bought this some months ago and it really glows so nicely in the dark. It’s also super comfortable to my wrist and the dial is big and extremely readable. My best watch!

Ive purchased an Essence, love the environmentally friendly ressources aka materials of the watch and the new vegan straps.

Bought a replacement strap for my Mondaine Stop2Go in July 2022. There is a new one now, the original one from 2015 was discontinued. It costed me €45 from the official Mondaine.it Italian online store. As soon as it arrived I noticed it was very different and of cheap quality. I mounted it on the watch and the band was so hard that I could barely manage to close it. I immediately dismounted it and wrote to the customer assistance, that after a few emails told me that since I had tried it I was not entitled to a refund or a replacement. They said it was already 'used'. How do you expect to test a watch band if you do not wear it? In the meantime I found an exact replica of the first band on AliExpress and bought it for €10. Serves you right Mondaine. Never again Mondaine watches or Mondaine accessories. The problem now is that I possess a €45 red band that no one wants.

Bought a Evo2 last year, this week it stopped working, I contacted a Mondaine service centre where they me to send the watch in, I have done so and I am now being told to pay them £172 to fix the movement as it is out of warrenty due to wear and tear to the strap.

They are telling me they won't fix it because I have worn it.

Would never buy a Mondaine again, poor build quaility and shocking post sales support. Style over substance!

I have bought 3 wall clocks Stop2Go for my family members and myself.

All of them run too fast by several minutes pr. month which is very annoying.

There is no automatic time adjustment and I need to manually open the App and let it adjust time.

As it is a few minutes ahead of time, it starts to run all the way around like 11 hrs 55 min. to get to the correct time. When you have to do that regularly it consumes a lot of battery.

The minutes hand on all of them are forced down by ½ minute by its weight, so from 6 to 12 it will be be half a minute behind and not show exact full minute. From 12 to 6 it will half a minute ahead ...

It does not adjust for summer and winter time, you have to do that manually. (and you cannot adjust it manually, need to open the app and let it traverse through 11 hours ... )

Why are these very expensive clocks not adjusted to the DCF77 atom radio clock in Frankfurt? (applicable for Europe only) Some cheap chineese clock are even able to do that.

I have written a complaint to customer service, but guess what - no response at all ...

I payed some 290 CHF for each of these clocks and that is lot of money for wall clock of such low quality ...

Seems like the products are far away from the normally high Swiss standard.

Cannot recommend these clocks ...

Update 24.Feb. 2022:
Mondaine finally responded to my compaints in December 2021 by the head of marketing, who promised a solution. I asked what sort of solution he had in mind - today 24. February - no response since December.

I purchased a Mondaine Official Railways Clock in Geneva in August 2021 and brought it back to the UK. It has worked well for 1 year until the battery ran out. I have replaced the battery and whilst the clock is functioning, I am unable to set the correct time via the app - this is the only way to set the time. I have contacted the Swiss customer service team and there only response was to provide me with the address for the UK service centre. No help or advice. I assume the only option I have if I want to try to get it working is to pay for it to be repaired. Not impressed at all with the quality of the product or the customer service

I bought a Mondaine watch with date and Milanese Strap. lovely Looking watch, unfortunately within 2 months the date went wrong it read the 35th and suddenly lost 6 hours over night. I returned to H Samuel who sent it back for repair. When it returned I used it only a few times but within two months a month with 31 days in it. On the 16th of the next month it read 06th. I have returned the watch and had a refund. I am now looking for something as elegant that works and reliable.

“Mondaine timepieces represent the epitome of craftsmanship, punctuality, precision and uncomplicated, concise design.”
So says this Company’s blurb, but what it doesn’t tell you is that their iconic watches only last to just beyond the warranty period.
I was gifted a Mondaine watch as a 60th birthday present - and it lasted 2 years 2 months before it stopped and needed a new movement. Mondaine declined to offer any support or goodwill - and clearly have no interest in the longevity of their product; the reputation of their brand or the loyalty of their customers. There are plenty of other ‘iconic’ watch brands out there - I’d recommend you avoid Mondaine.
